I performed wheel align on a bagged 9th gen last yr. That car had a heat shield between the exhaust and RR airbag. Idk if heat shield came with his kit or was added but it protected the bag for years and many miles. That car also had the factory exhaust, which is smaller and may have also helped. No wrap on it. On a side note, I've installed many Airlift and Firestone helper airbag kits on trucks over the yrs. And some of those kits come with heat shields for protection near exhaust that seems to work well too.
Whats up man. This kit actually did come with the heat shield (Airlift 3P). I didn’t utilize it for a few reasons. First, it was basically touching with the aftermarket axle-back, and I didn’t want to chance on them touching while running & getting the chatters from it. And I thought at the time the heat wrap would be enough (obviously wrong about that lol). And at the time (and still don’t) I didn’t really wanna drill a self-tapping screw into it. Im weird like that with this car lol.

I know it was old video but I was just looking through your channel to see if you had any new content on the Civic like I do from time to time. 👍 Hey and that leads me to another thing... I've always felt a bit (almost) let down that you don't have more content on your channel of your Civic lol. See, I also bought a new FB6 in 2015 and that's when I found your build thread on 9th gen civ so many years ago, I've been following ever since. Btw all your input on that site was pretty awesome. Unfortunately the car sits for the most part and there really isn’t much content to make off of it 🥲 been officially 8 years now since I’ve own it, it’s a ‘15, I purchased it new on 11-7-14. Currently sitting @ 33K. But, I was thinking of making a 1-2 minute shoot with it recently….kind of like the other one I got on the channel, so you’ve inspired me to get to that asap. Lol.
@@TheOriginalBeeCee I've owned my TW FB6 since new and it's been sitting on K-TUNED coils since 2 yrs old. Car has 38k mi on it currently, nowhere near as clean as yours. I dreamed of air ride before I even bought it but at that time finances didn't allow, and I battled with decision to do it past few years. I have however always felt I should do review of K-Tuned coilovers cause there's so little out there on them. Love your Civic, please show more of it!
I might be really late with this comment but second skin makes a really high quality thermal protection wrap it’s made to withstand engine heat and exhaust heat for power wires for car audio
Does your exhaust hang down more then stock I have the issue and I don’t know if you did anything to fix that to get as low as you do I’m worried if I put it on there I won’t be able to get as low as I want
Whats up man. I have an Injen axle-back, and it’s essentially exactly in the orientation the OE exhaust was in. Doesn’t hang low, it really fits perfectly in my opinion. The exhaust shouldn’t be a hang up at all as far as you being low as possible.
@@TheOriginalBeeCee ok I have the invida 3 inch exhaust and it hangs low enough for me to scrape over like speed bumps but ya I plan on getting air soon
Damn that’s surprising. IMO you prob need more than you would have been supplied with anyway, so really you prob would have ended up having to grab some regardless.

Thank you! And it’s a FKX Racing Brace, guy on 9th Forum sold them, he probably still does, I got mine like 4-5 years ago.
