I feel sorry for those poor souls who missed this era. So much great rock
word
All these songs are constantly available and have have been since their creation. If anyone is missing anything it is due to willful ignorance.
Alot of good bands now I'm sure you know none of them of course
@@allensaunders449 maybe , maybe not. I’m more of a blues guy. The earlier Rock and roll borrowed heavily from the blues. I guess that’s why I like it.
I’m not a rap, grunge or whiny chick fan. I hate auto tune and love live stuff.
@Jim Roberts they may be available on UA-cam etc., but you will never, ever match that era for live music. These live videos just don't do the concerts justice.
Paul Rodgers is one of those rare vocalist that improved with age.
Paul had it from the very beginning
Paul is on the top 10 list of most instantly recognizable voices ever in rock of that era
Sometimes I complain about being so old (71) but then I hear songs like this one again and realize how truly blessed I am to have grown up at a time when these amazing artists were performing. Saw so many amazing concerts from the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, The Who, Heart, Lynyrd Skynyrd Fleetwood Mac and so many others and wouldn't change a day of my time on my great musical experience journey. Makes the aches and pains worth it. 😃✌🤗 Love your reactions Beth. You are so informative, never preachy or condescending. Bless you.
Mick Jagger is 80 next month!
I'm with you, man (71 too!)
Paul Rogers is the best male voice in rock and roll ever (IMHOP), and he kept it for longer than any other performer. The man is simply amazing.
I Agree With You Paul Rodgers Is The Voice Of Rock&Roll! Simply The Best!
The Voice is Numero UNO, Number 1, the best rock singer evvvvvvvverrrrr. Take a bow, Mr Paul Rodgers
He will never lose it
Yes but also FM singer SteveOverland, similar to Rodgers, got it all :)
50 years of belting them out and Paul Rogers hasn't lost a thin. The man is incredible.
Paul Rogers one of THE greatest rock singers ever. And at his age he still sounds strong as ever
My favorite singer's , Steve Walsh (ex of Kansas), favorite singer. Rogers is just so good! You know, he toured with Queen after Mercury passed. One would have thought he'd be intimidated filling such enormous shoes but, he walked on stage and just killed all of the Queen songs. Amazing.
Love Steve Walsh also
I was blessed to see Paul perform with Jeff Beck several years ago. Epic gig.
It was the other way around. Queen were in awe of Paul Rodgers.
LOVE Paul Rogers, LOVE Queen but have to disagree on the Queen collab. I really didn’t feel they were well suited. George Michael’s and Adam Lambert I thought nailed it, I guess because they were coming more from the same direction as Freddie. I don’t mean sexually, though that might have been a factor but they brought that bombastic thing that Freddie had. I never appreciated either much until I heard them with Queen but then it was just a kick in the gut!
Paul was Freddie Mercury’s hero and inspiration
Paul Rogers one of the very best rock voices ever many would say THE BEST.
Paul Rogers is on my Mt. Rushmore of late 60s/early 70's rock vocalists with Robert Plant, Ian Gillan & Roger Daltrey!
Don't know what year this concert is from, but they're obviously much older, and he's still amazing. When I saw Bad Company in '76 he was at the height of his vocal power - simply awesome.
I saw Bad Company in '76 too (with Styx as the opening act). One of the very best concerts I've ever seen ... and I've attended a lot of concerts. Clean, pure sound, with kickass drive and a hammering rhythm section. And of course one of the greatest (if not THE greatest) rock vocalists of all time. Blew me away!
No, Dio?
*Shakin' mah head*
It's no surprise that Blackmore wanted him for Deep Purple
I saw Bad Company probably around 6-7 years ago now and he was still absolutely amazing. Paul Rodgers is amazing and his longevity is legendary!
Simply one of the greatest vocalists in the history of rock and roll. Bad Company were on Led Zeppelin's private Swan Song record label. Jimmy Page and Paul Rodgers had a band in the 80s called The Firm which did some amazingly brilliant music, as you can probably imagine. I highly recommend.
All the king`s horses es mi tema preferido
There was also The Law in the early 90s ...
Its a crime their not in the Rock Hall. Paul for my money is in the top 5 greatest frontmen of all time.
I second The Firm, but not the song Radioactive. I suggest Midnight Moonlight or Live in Peace.
"Satisfaction Guaranteed"
The vocals on the earlier studio version really shows off his voice even more. One of the best and most unique rock voices.
Rolling Stone magazine called Paul the perfect rock singer. No argument there.
i get chills listening to this. Bad Company sets a mood RIGHT AWAY with this early hit. Man, what a voice! What a group!
Awesome reaction! More Paul Rodgers please. One of rock's greatest singers. He was 60 in this video. Has truly kept his voice through the years.
Sadly, Burrell died many years ago, and Ralphs hasn’t toured with the band since 2016 due to health reasons. But most importantly, Paul has been back with the band for about the last 20 yrs and Simon Kerke never left. I saw them around 2019 and Paul Rodgers, even in his 70’s still sounded amazing.
Paul is incredible! One of my faves. He sounds even better during the entire 2008 Seminole Hard Rock Live concert. The live version of Ready For Love from Seminole Hard Rock Live 2008 is awesome!
Paul is one of those singers that reminds me of fine cognac and tobacco. Amazing voice. what soul.
You can't not like Paul Rodger's singing. Thanks for sharing this and really feeling it.
One of rock's greatest singers. Saw Rodgers with Free twice in '72 (one of which was my first concert), and again with Bad Co in '74 . Jump to 2017 and the Free Spirit tour and he hadn't lost anything - all the power, control and range were still there. A fantastic voice.
Paul Rogers has such a smooth and so very POWERFUL voice - absolutely one of my favorites!!!
This was back when you had to be able to sing without electronic manipulation. I wouldn’t give you two pennies for most of the artists of today.
At last somebody reacts to the legend Paul Rodgers. Thank you so much. I also adore his Muddy Waters tribute cd with some of the finest guitarists around as well as Free and Bad Company.
My favorite male rock singer. He can still sing so well all these years later
YES! I've been waiting for you and other reaction channels to react to Paul Rodgers, one of the most charismatic singers ever!
Loved "All Right Now" by Free, had Bad Company and Straight Shooter on vinyl and 8-track back in the seventies.
Paul Rogers is my favorite singer. Very little has changed in his sound from the late 60s to now.
Years can't touch him ... such a powerfull voice, even now
The amount of big groups in the 1970s who would have given their eye teeth to have recruited Paul Rogers is ridiculously large. He was, and still is, held in very very high esteem.
Beth, I always love your reactions and analyses and this one is no exception! So glad you enjoyed it! I still have Bad Company's first couple of albums on vinyl. If you or anyone else is interested, the "other" guitar player in this clip, the one with the silvery white hair and the magenta colored guitar, is Howard Leese, Heart's "other" guitar player throughout the heyday of their career. Cheers!
Paul Rodgers of Free/Bad Co. is one of those rare treasures that are found once in a lifetime, and just keeps getting better with age.
Thank you for sharing your review with us, Beth. 💜
Baddddd Assed Company. Amazing how Paul's voice has actually gotten fuller and "better" over time.
One of the BEST......saw them back in the 70's when this was all new........amazing bands like this came thru our little East TN area back in the day........
I saw them at the Capital Center in Maryland around 1976/77 . Also saw Areosmith' Dream On consert not long afterward. Great music and great timeless memories.
If you enjoyed his vocals _(and who wouldn't?),_ I have two words for you: *Studio version.*
Thank you for reviewing the greatest pure rock voice of all time
Warmest greetings from Vancouver 🇨🇦
Paul Rogers lives about 2 km from me, and on occasion I see him at the Local Urban fair. I’ve had a chance to chat with him a few times as I’ve always been a huge fan of Bad Company. He’s a very remarkable humble unassuming fellow. And it’s nice to see such amazing Musicians are also amazing people as well.
Best rock singer in history. He`s close to 70 here and still has all the tools and hasn`t slipped at all
Finest vocalist I ever heard live.
“Well that’s a nice voice.” I’ve been saying that about Paul Rodgers for 40 years. 😊 I love your videos, Beth. Keep them coming.
Can’t beat the rustic soul of Paul Rodgers! It’s unbelievable what the guy does. Even as a kid with FREE he had an ability to covey the essence of what inspired him.
Greatest rock vocalist, there will never be another like him. Perfection. Powerful, masculine and soulful 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Paul Rogers is the voice of rock!
I have to say, I'm so glad I grew up in this era. We had this Band and so many others, life was good. I glad you and others are getting to experience these great bands through these reaction videos.
When Paul started touring with this iteration of Bad Company he started with a series of 'warm up' gigs at pubs in Australia.
Seeing Paul Rodgers performing all his greats, mere inches from me in a pub setting was mana from heaven.
Great reaction, thanks very much.
My favorite bluesy rock voice ever.
Been a Free/Rodgers fan for 50 years ! He's been at the top of his game for 5 decades...& still in original keys !!
Paul Rodgers actually sang with Queen for a tour, had the pleasure of seeing them live in Newcastle. Absolutely sensational vocalist, lucky to have been around music like this from a young age.
You have to check out Paul Rogers with Queen doing part of his song Reaching Out and then breaking into Tie Your Mother Down. Paul Rogers at his finest.
Simply the greatest Rock & Voice ever...PERIOD!
Listen to him when he was young. It will blow you away.
So much made my High School years memorable.....The Music!!!
Remembering those years makes me happy.. young, healthy, optimistic….the future was a wide open golden dream. Anything might happen, all kinds of hopes. Paul was and is legendary. As he should be. I don’t really want to be young again but it is so enjoyable to think back and still listen to our music. I miss good rock&roll. But time moves us forward and changes are inevitable.
The Band based their name after a 1972 western movie (Bad Company) that dealt with a group of young men dealing with the beginning of our Civil War (Rebels they were called) and some becoming outlaws (six gun in our hands)
Free were the first band I ever saw live back in 72 and Paul Rodgers has been my favourite vocalist ever since. So glad I grew up in that era.
I seen them in concert in 78. In one of the songs, Simon used a set of drum sticks with lasers in them. When he raised his arms up, the light was green, when he brought his arm down they turned red. The song they were performing had a drum solo. I have never seen anything done like that since. I'll never forget it.
Paul Rogers is just 🥂🏆
Happy you enjoyed it, even after all the years he was still at the top in this performance
Paul Rogers is great!!! He did gigs with Queen doing justice to the songs of Queen in his own voice.
That he could tour with Queen and just be 100% himself is a testament to the quality of his voice. Oh, it's "Mott the Hoople" not Matt, lol.
I got to see them in concert at Madison Square Garden. 76 or 77. Along with your professional observations, its your ability to feel the music that just makes your show just that much more entertaining. Keep it up and thank you.
Just listened to your version of 'Wicked Game' and thought it was excellent! I also liked watching this reaction to a band that I'd only ever heard of. I'd known their name for years, but never listened to anything by them. I didn't even know Paul Rodgers from 'Free' and other music stars were in the band. It's true what they say, you learn something new everyday!
Bad Company = Legends! This epic song is an anthem for the ages. Thank You Beth for this one.
When I was 8, I asked for tickets to them for my 9th birthday. I got them. It was my first concert and a really great show.
I first heard Paul in 1970 approx, In 53 years Ive never heard him miss a note, yes he knows the tricks, but still - 53 YEARS!!! There's no other Rock Star like him. WEIRDLY, he can still do it at 73yrs old.
Paul Rodgers is my favorite vocalist. I love how he sings with so much feeling.
Paul Rodgers was awesome with Queen as well, IMHO. I'm 64 and we had the greatest music EVER made in the 70's. Beth, you need to hear Dan Vasc "Amazing Grace"!
Paul Rodgers. Been rocking it since 2968 with Free. Still sounds awesome today. Legend.
Since 1968 obvs. No Time Machine required.
Thanks so much, your the first person to react to Paul Rogers, one of the best, he still has that wonderful voice and he's in his 70s.
I saw Bad Company in concert in 1977, great show.
So much joy in your face doing this reaction video... thanks
Paul Rodgers is my favourite vocalist. Just the best rock/blues voice . Seen him many times live ....amazing . Some tremendous solo albums too
I remember either reading or watching video of Paul talking about "hitting" notes where he said, paraphrasing, "You don't have to hold them, just hit them."
I heard Paul Rogers and Bad Company in concert about a decade ago and he still had a great voice! Very impressive.
Paul Rodgers is one of my favorite vocalist. He has a subtle and powerful sound at the same time, which I always thought was unique. Never overdoes it, and is always in control, even when he lets it rip.
You may enjoy, if you haven't listened to them yet, Bob Seger and the band Grand Funk Railroad's vocalist Mark Farner.
I had a friend that passed away a few years ago, that was a vocalist you would appreciate. His name is Kelly Holland and the band is Cry of Love. They had a #1 hit in the '90s called Peace Pipe. Give them a listen sometime, a reaction or private. I'm sure you'll like them.
Have been listening to your reactions for a bit ,had no idea you actually sing. Listened, hooked. Why aren't you famous.
Yep Paul Rodgers. The best description of him is he's your favorite singer's favorite singer..lol. So many legendary rock vocalists cite him as a huge influence. Ever since he got his start as a teenager in Free, he's had a reputation for laying down the best bluesy rock vocals.
Great Review!!
Paul is the greatest vocalist i've ever heard.
He did another band called "THE LAW" alongside Drummer Kennedy Jones of the WHO. The entire album is amazing and its a shame not many know it. I did a country rock cover of one of their tunes "Nature of the beast"
Even though im a country singer, Paul is a huge inspiration of mine.
The fact he still sings great at his age as well is just remarkable.
I bought the debut album in 1975. I wore it out, so I have to buy another. I didn't get to see them in concert until 2009.
Widely regarded as the greatest blues rock singer of all time.
This dude was KILLING that song. Talk about musical domination
Paul Rodgers is an amazing singer. I’ve seen him many times solo, with Bad Co, Queen & The Firm. Was in the front row for this one. Thanks for doing this video!
A great reaction to this great classic track from Bad Company, Beth!! This version of the band featured in the video, is the one I saw a few years ago. Amazing show. Paul Rodgers was the inspiration for Freddie Mercury of Queen and many, many other vocalists since he came on the scene.
I would suggest that you also check out Paul Rodgers doing a solo version of "Bad Company" from his Live In Glasgow DVD. It was just him and a piano. Powerful and haunting. I was also lucky to catch an interview he did on a local radio show in Toronto where he did the same version, just him and a piano.
Well said. That solo piano version is wonderful.
This song is the musical manifestation of badassery!!
Mott the Hoople were an English rock band from the early 70’s. Famous for “All the young dudes” a Bowie song. Singer was Ian Hunter
Adore Paul and this song in particular!! Glad you found it!! ❤🔥
Paul with the guitar of Kossof And the bass from Fraser. Those 3 were incredible
Paul has the best bluesy rock voice ever. Timbre is perfect.
Paul Rodgers is the epitome of the kind of male voices we are sadly missing today, fantastic vocalist ,
Rodgers is by far my all-time favourite rock vocalist! His voice was made for R & R/LOL!
Loved this band back in mid 70s. 😈😎🇧🇻
One of the best. Always reminds me of a bloke I went to the Newcastle match with. Paul Rodgers was his all time favourite singer. He’s just one of my favourites
listen to their album straight shooter beth, one of the greatest rock albums ever.rodgers voice in it's prime was as good as it gets
Saw Bad Company many times in the 70's and was amazed at Paul's voice every time. He is one of the very best. "All Right Now" by Free is a Classic.
Love your passion Beth.
Three vocal deliveries along with excellent musicianship that you'll never regret hearing/reviewing are;
1) The Weaver's Answer - Family
2) Coming home - Delaney, Bonnie & friends (featuring Eric Clapton)
3) Nantucket Sleigh ride - Mountain
Best wishes
The RARE trifecta - Band Name, Song Name & Album Name it was on are all the same! 🔥🔥🔥
Bad Co. was my favorite band as a teenager in the 70’s My friends kept saying Led Zep and Ted Nugent but they just had that bluesy/soulful rock sound I just dug. Mr Rogers vocals are so great. Simon Kirk was a big drum influence on me as a teenager drummer and of course Boz on bass & Mick on guitar were so tasteful. Deep catalog of really good music to explore. Thanks & enjoy
I was watching another youtube channel called "Professor of Rock” and he was talking about the biggest snubs of the Rock & roll hall of fame Paul Rogers was no. 4. and he pointed out that he was named the greatest singer by Freddy Mercury and Ann Wilson among others. He was also the lead singer of Green when they 1st reunited.
Bad Company are legends and Paul Rodgers is one of the greatest vocalists of all time it's really sad that they are not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Bad Co. was one of my favorites, when I was a teenager, and I still really like them, today.
They had a number of solid hits that you'd probably like.
I saw them back in the 80s on their Running With The Pack tour. Eddie Money opened for them. Killer Concert ...
Running with the Pack was released in 1976, and that album's tour was in 76/77. I saw Bad Co in 1979 on their Desolation Angles tour. Heart opened for them that night. Paul Rodgers had left around 83 and was replaced by Brian Howe.
@@calkelpdiver I'm old my memory ain't what it used to be I thought it was around 1980... I know Paul Rodgers was a singer though.
Age hasn’t killed his voice like others that should be retired. He is the voice of rock (and blues).
