That made me actually cry.... the man who touched a tarantula!!! Goodness me; he’s a hero. I don’t mind house spiders but I’d never ever touch anything bigger than that.... And the woman with her fear of cats; I can’t imagine that but she’s been SO courageous and I loved the look of wonder on her face when she dared stroking the kitten. Wonderful, helpful work - thank you.
I just came here from listening to a interview with this guy. Previously he had encountered a spider in his car and sold it (the car, the spider was a bonus) on the same day.
Seeing that woman with a fear of cats really helped put my fear of spiders into perspective. I mean, I’m still afraid of them and working on it, but knowing how sweet and harmless cats are and how phobic she was made me realize that spiders are basically the same in that they are harmless and kind of cute - I just haven’t had a positive experience with them yet. I hope one day I can get over my fear.
I was assaulted and it left me with PTSD. I asked my general physician for a prescription for propranolol and followed this video. My PTSD was gone the next morning! Easiest self administered miracle you’ll ever experience.
ph0b0s one 60ml pill. My GP had no issue with prescribing for anxiety as it’s non addictive. I just lied in bed and let myself feel all the memory with the emotional response. At different times it’s easier to do that than others so experiment. Good luck!
wow that’s really interesting. i might need to do something like this but for my emetophobia because it’s really bad to the point where when i think i’m sick, i’m in so much fear of my own body that i genuinely contemplate s*icide because of how terrified i am of throwing up. it’s horrible i really hope i can get better like you did with your ptsd!
@@Sclunger once it done it’s done. I retired from where I would encounter that person that assaulted me but I’m clear that the trauma response would still be gone and it’s been over 2 years.
For those of you who think this is fake, I can assure you it is not! The guy afraid of spiders acts exactly like I do around cockroaches! It's like your brain starts with a single relatively fearful but mild negative thought, like the spider or a cockroach is going to get on you somehow, and then that thought runs away into something like a million of them are going to be swarming all over you, and those horrific thoughts keep delving more and more into even worse thoughts about whatever it is you're fearing! The fox just become overwhelming and seem like they just get worse and worse and worse and there's nothing you can do to stop them... there's like no control over your thoughts at that point... You just become paralyzed in absolute panic and fear. It is horrific!. It is truly a panicked state of mind and it completely disrupts a person's life! I'm going to be looking for one of these clinics myself because I can no longer handle this kind of fear every summer when cockroaches are back! I believe everyone in this video are absolutely and completely authentic! Unfortunately, there's nothing fake about this video! there is a difference between a fear and a phobia! A big difference! Fear is fear, but a phobia will absolutely disrupt your life and disable you if you are unable to conquer it somehowI can relate all too well to these people! I was crying tears of joy however, when I saw how much calmer they were the next day! For me it's like watching an answer to my prayers come to fruition! Crossing my fingers that this treatment will work for me as well!?
I’m the same with cockroaches! I will legit stop feeling human. My brain just screams: run!!!!! And I run and almost kill myself by tripping or running into walls etc.
This procedure can be done on your own. I’d been assaulted and while looking for an answer to my post traumatic stress I came across this video. Propranolol is legal and safe and commonly used in this country for fear of public speaking. I followed the video and and the next morning all the fear and anxiety was gone. Why suffer? You can do this.
Absolutely, you mind has gone offline to the current moment, it’s jumper back in time to previous experiences and almost tells you how to feel and act, it’s subconscious and almost out of your control right in that moment 🤗 I help people with fears and phobias now 🤗
i actually also have a phobia of spiders, but my best friend owns 25 tarantulas. when i was first at his place he let me hold one of them, which was very hard at first but once she (the spider) was on my hand i felt a great relief! i had never realized how gentle they can be. And the fact she was as big as my palm made it even easier, because i knew that she couldnt disappear from my sight so easily. Spiders are very gentle and soft (when they dont feel threatened) and there is no reason to be scared of them. recently my friend got a baby tarantula and i asked to hold her!
I couldn’t relate more to a person. I literally screamed for him when I saw the spider. I couldn’t imagine seeing it in person or having to touch it. I would probably faint. 😭😭😭
I’m arachnophobic. I went to universal studios with my nephew some time ago and there’s a Harry Potter ride when part of the ride is about aragog (a wolf spider look alike gigantic spider) and acromantulas (gigantic tarantulas). Imagine having the worst nightmare of an Aracnophobic which is a human or bigger size spider in front of you. I closed my eyes for the rest of the ride. I felt like a coward for doing it in front of my nephew, so he encouraged me to try again, this time he hold my hand in the bad moment. I made it, felt better after that
It's funny how people don't share each other's phobia's I love cats, tolerate spiders, but fear needles as much as in this vid As a matter of speech we could laugh at each other's phobiae (after successful treatment, ofcourse) This proves that it's not some kind of character flaw e.g. "fearful person" Phobiae are very specific and not necessarily indicative of a person's level of courage
Not even sure my fear of spiders counts after this. Like, I can handle them fine, but if they look venomous then I get uncomfortable (try to stay out of their reach)? Tarantulas are always fine for some reason though, I guess they're big enough to keep track of. These people are like, wow.
I’d done what I’d watched in this video and it worked out perfectly. My gereral physician had no problem percribing it for fear of public speaking. One pill did the trick.
They gave the name of the drug so that people would be aware of what they do. Being shady helps no one :) And being public about things doesn't mean they want you to copy what they do.
They should had let them watch the animals on TV/Internet many many times, before they see them in real life. What they are doing now is put them into more fear and anxiety. This is how my fear ended, I forced myself to look at the spiders on the screen everyday til my fear ended. Now I'm cured. Peace ✌
Breathing exercises and meditation helps with fear, anxiety and gets rid of negative thoughts. These people doesn't know much. Isn't this what they are doing called chock therapy?
If I had a dollar for every time some well-meaning person suggested I try breathing exercises or meditation… It doesn’t help people in situations like this because the fear response is too quick and too powerful. There’s no way you can clear your mind and meditate when your mind is on fire and your body is screaming at you to run.
Seriously, they act extremely forced. I'm not gonna say these people are faking it because people are different and react to fears differerently, but they just seem like bad actors trying to come off as people with phobias
This is real, we just don’t get exposed to people in the middle of a emotional trauma. Most people hide or at least try to hide that part of themselves.
@@fredlind8270 by forced do you mean tense ? Trying look unafraid ? That's what you do when you have a camera on you and you are being backed into a corner. Either you act like a wus or you scream while trying to act brave.
Maybe, but you have to remember that what you are seeing here is not just terrified people, but people that are actively choosing to face their fears to try and get better. That duality is not something very often seen in person. I don't know if I've really seen it to a degree like this in my whole life. The only place I've ever seen anything similar is on television, and they are actors. lol
Oh my god such overacting. Can’t stand people that like that, what are they going to do when they have real problems in life? Too much time on their hands imo

Most PTSD is a “behind closed doors” kind of thing. We hear about veterans having these uncontrollable reactions but other than that there is very little discussed about trauma.

typo, you wrote "overacting" instead of "overreacting" okay no I get that you actually misunderstand that these people are having completely sincere emotions. It can be hard to empathize when their fear makes no sense to you. It makes no sense to them either. They intellectually know that the fear isn't related to real safety concern. But their brains are just generating sincere fear. It's a mental illness basically. It's not acting.
It's brave to allow fears to become public. Thanks for letting people film.
