Biggest mistake people make is to assume another human being thinks like you. We never can tell what other's are thinking even if the word's are good..
This is very true, but also, not everyone who thinks differently than you is harmful either. It's just trying to figure out if they are someone we can learn from or someone we will be harmed by before it's too late.
You're right it's the biggest mistake we can make to believe others think the same way as we do. It took me decades to understand some people have zero empathy.
I totally disagree with not being able to see it in their eyes... I was married to one for 16 yrs. You can totally see the darkness and emptiness in them. It's usually more noticeable when you are the target of their anger.
To: TheresaMarie1... I absolutely agree with you 100%... Seeing what we see in their eyes is very much a part of the spiritual world as well, seeing, recognizing and being blessed to notice their soulless spirit that eventually is revealed to us through the psychopaths eyes, their intent, their plotting, their deep true unhappiness and general disdain that they have for us... I agree with part of what the psychologist said when he said that they will attempt to fool him, however 'The Lord' will allow some victims to see the horrible spirit in the psychopaths eyes... Psychologist may have all 'The Book Smarts & Education', however being 'Angel Driven Human Beings' as we born, we are gifted to see the true inherit evil of the psychopaths forever dangerous soulless spirit... 'Just My Thoughts'!
I've experienced many people suffering an anti social disorder. Some were narcisssist, other sociopath or psychopath. Most diagnosed. I didn't yet know what to think of it. I could not see evil in their eyes. My brother in law murdered my older sister and later was diagnosed before the trial, as a psychopathic narcissist. I didn't see any evil in his eyes neither but 2 out of about 15 had a rather empty look in their eyes, in retrospect. There was one person who wasn't diagnosed, and which was the first person of which i realized he was mentally abusing me. I was already feeling really bad, was on disability and during a conversation he was seriously devaluating my person and it got me angry. Wasn't the first time but this time as i got angry i saw the pupils of his eyes become very, very large.... and as quick as the grew they snapped back to normal rather small size. In retrospect it was like he experienced joy in making me angry. THAT is the only time i had ever seen something almost otherworldy in someone's eyes.

My father is an intelligent psychopath who worked for the defense industry. The scariest thing about him is how he can fool people into thinking he's a nice guy. He was a master of the double life.
because modern people have been taught to trust people regardless, especially if they are decently looking and carry themselves well, as a sociopath we know this and play on it
I was married to one for 14 yrs. I carefully planned my escape. He didn’t resist & didn’t try to get me back. My life has been so much better. It was all about control, but it was then too much effort to get me back so he is now on his 3rd wife. I am married to a great guy who’s helped me work through my years of having someone suck me dry. He never physically hurt me. It was all psychological. Almost 40 yrs & it still hurts if I let it.
Capitalism is an economic system that puts profit above everything including humans, and any type of morality. Why should we think that it would do anything other than reward psychopathy
@@Phishyificationyou can go ahead and put yourself out there. If it isn’t caught early the odds lesson some people are born this way. Some may not be and only a product of their environment.
imo "being evil" is a moral choice of a sane adult person. for example: mafia boss chooses to be a mafia boss. if someone is "born evil" it means such person can't choose between good and wrong, because has no other choice from the get go. thus should be called differently. maybe... psychopath? sociopath? etc. such words bring not only awerness, but also scientific answers: why such person is like that and what can be done to prevent it.

I briefly befriended a Narcissist once... in the beginning, she played all her charm to make sure I'd be fond of her. Once I realised how fake she was (by her actions), I finally noticed the empty look in her eyes... they looked right through me. The things she said sounded good/well-meaning, but the eyes never matched. There was nobody behind those eyes, no soul... Also I could tell by her eyes, that she did not truly recognize me as another soul/human being.
@cheri4939, yeah, I have experienced that. This woman at work one day I felt her looking at me and I turned to the side and saw her staring at me like she was staring into my soul. It truly gave me the creeps.
You cant, on some you Can, but others are extremely good at being social chameleons. And Can mimic emotions so they are even more believable than the real deal.
Dated a psychopath for a year- would never wish that on anyone. They're very good at wearing a mask of normalcy, and undermining your instincts (that tell you something is wrong). But the mask always eventually slips, and if you pay attention to those instincts, you'll catch on.

Together they came up with a plan to get me to the alter by threatening to put me out on the street in the middle of winter if we didn't get married bc it was suddenly a moral problem for them. The Justice of the Peace said that he'd never seen a more unhappy bride and questioned whether I really wanted to go through with it. I was actually trying to get away from him which is why he came up with that plan.
This seems to be about the mind of the murdering psychopaths, or serial killers, a subject which has been covered so many times that it almost fells like many people watching could write the script. The psychopaths who affect us much more often are those who are our bosses, or involved from top to bottom in government or business.
Those with delusions of grandeur like Soros and those who are with WEF. The WEF are some truly frightening individuals when you listen to them speak on society. They want to control people and God knows they have the money, media, resources to do just that if we allow it.
I remember when I was growing up, as well as years later when my father was dying and people would just gush and say what a beautiful heart, what a wonderful man, I must be the luckiest girl alive to have such a charming and sweet father. I was dumbfounded every time I heard it. My dad was a sadistic, extremely violent man who knew no bounds to his violence, abuse, and meanness. I used to have nightmares about him. Even after he died, I'd have nightmares of him crawling out of the grave, grabbing my ankles and dragging me below. If people only knew what he was really like behind closed doors...

Prefacing my comment by stating that I'm a retired mental health social worker specialized in Level 1 clients both in the Child/Adolescence and later in the Adult system. Level 1's were chronic, severe requiring multiple agencies involvement. In the adult system I had 2 cases that were Rule 11's - guilty but mentally ill and were in the psych ward at the state prison - indefinitely. But I'm not going to focus on them. My focus is on the children who grow up to be psychopaths. There were 3 things at the time we looked for in our clients/patients. Cruelty to animals, fire setting, bedwetting. These behaviors were the first indicators of pathology. Then it was the misc. behaviors - stealing, lying, aggressions, passiveness, etc. For example, one client that I did an intake on had the 3 indicators. 1. Cruelty to animals: He would capture and torture smaller animals - pet hamsters, turtles, birds, lizards etc. He'd skin them alive, set them on fire, break all their bones and so on. 2. Fire setting: He would go around the apartment complex and check to see if car windows were down. Didn't have to all the way down or half down, just a gap would be fine. Then he'd light matches and push them through the opening. Sometimes he'd shove paper in and push the lit matches on top. 3. He was a bed wetter. The parents had taken to padlocking his door at night so he wouldn't get out. Then they had a padlock on the inside of their bedroom to keep him out, and a padlock on the baby brother's door. Padlocked all the cabinets and fridge; the same with all cleaning and bathing supplies, all the utensils and so on. He was 11 years old. At that time, per the DSM IIIr - his diagnosis was Conduct Disorder. Also, one cannot give a child a diagnosis of psychopathy. And in my 20+ years in this field, these children are more common than you think. We cannot wait until these children grow up to be adults before we identify them. Because by that time, they have honed their skills and become proficient in their deeds. Ted Bundy is one example. I don't know what the answer is, but it is something that we should not overlook nor ignore.
The family should have negotiated a lucrative endorsement contract from Master Lock. Monies earned could have been spent on fortifying the door entry ways with reinforced steel and concrete, then get a lucrative endorsement deal with US Steel, and use those proceeds to build a church in which to hold an exorcist event to rid the poor child of all the demons so he can be reunited with family. Then open the church for worship giving prarishners an opportunity to exercise their demons, as there seems to be an abundance of them floating about these days looking for souls to take.
But bed wetting at that age is sign of abuse ..no?we're you looking at these aspects too?,the corellation, I mean if some become psychopaths due to what they saw and experienced
Betwetting is caused often times due to lack of certain nutrients! Diet plays a huge role in aggresion, criminality also. Lack of longterm breastfeeding also together with a lacking mother who is warm, caring, sensitive, calm letting the baby drink in her arms, caressing the babies head, giving kisses! Many hate women, due to a cold demeanor, irresponsive, neglecting mothers who do not interract, play, talk nicely, cuddle with their newborn and baby age, toddler age. Also letting babies sleep in their own bed, instead in their arms body to body cintact. This is my personal experience and experience with nasty men/women.
Dr Matt Logan is giving true advice. You can't tell on meeting a psychopath that he is one, nor do they all have "dark eyes" or eyes showing no life. In the spectrum covering narcissism and pscyhopathy there are varying degrees of both conditions, and it takes getting to know a person before you start to see signs of either condition begin to emerge. I've had one devastating experience with a covert narc and that was enough to scare me for life - it changes your ability to trust openly ever again and makes you very wary about just who you may be talking to .
And then there’s the common kind who just victimizes his own family. The people who are in their lives don’t comprehend psychopathy, so they usually condemn the victims; the psychopath is a professional liar.
You are so right about that. I saved myself to be able to save my children. Now, we are all saved from him. My children chose to break contact with him. He had no empathy and enjoyed the suffering of family members.
1% is very rare - not common, but narcissistic tendencies or NPD (specifically vulnerable/covert) behave in that way. Present themselves to everyone else as different from how they are, preemptively spread lies about those who know the truth about their true self so they look like the crazy ones. They are the ones who actually commit the most murders, they do this when they about to get caught in their lies & their true self will be exposed (recall the word vulnerable) OR they are about to lose their control over you (think domestic abuse, where the most dangerous time is when or just after you leave). I've personally known diagnosed & suspected (hard to get a diagnosis for most narcissists because of denial of responsibility & self reflection so they won't voluntarily see anyone who would call them out/ID them) & 1 diagnosed Sociopath (yes that DSM ago). There is a big difference, but both can destroy & damage, just differently. But only a sociopath can dive deep into your psyche beyond the narcissists superficial charm, they are the true con-artists that talk you into things that you'd never do otherwise...not lazy 'Nigerian Prince' cons playing on ignorance/innocence, they play on your internal psychological wounds & deficits. It's a whole different level. Not to diminish narcissistic trauma, that is real & requires real therapy. But as it's said in this video (tho using term psychopath - like the new anti-social personality disorder in current DMS) I knew about sociopaths, I even called the diagnosis (to myself) before I say the official. I thought I was immune...& yes, I came out better than others, but I was still destroyed. So I'm not nit-picking, the difference in terms DOES matter, it IS important, educating yourself is important & it DOES NOT mean that your trauma is less "correct", it is very real, but the difference can diminish the experiences of others. & personally, I'd like everyone to get the treatment & understanding & acceptance that they deserve & not be dismissed because every medical professional thinks they are "exaggerating" or is misusing terms as it's hard enough to be believed as female to begin with. I have an MS & I was blown off or rather LAUGHED off, so this is for ALL of us.

I used to think, I'd be devastated if someone talked to me like they did to her, but it used to just brush over her without a worry. Her husband came from a very wealthy family and when the farther-in-law died, she left her husband but not before telling him she wanted half his dads inheritance. She told me with glee how she had all these compromising sexual pics of her husband and if he tried to fight her right to half the inheritance, she would send those pictures to his boss. I was charmed when I first met my language professor almost a year ago. He was cheerful guy, seemingly loved what he did, and was super friendly to kids which made everyone like him on the first class itself. He was particularly close with me.. Or I think so because I've never seen him interact with other students like how he did with me. For example, during our first class, we were writing something and he sat beside me. I was so focused on my work I didn't notice him at first, but then I felt as if someone was staring at me. I turned and saw him looking straight at me. My face. I just smiled awkwardly and made small conversation (I wasn't too social at the time). When I mentioned it to my friend who's highly intuitive and slightly spiritual (trust me it is very crucial because he is also spiritually active), she was the one who made me realise that was weird. Why would he stare at me instead of what I was writing? Well.. Two months after our class started, I noticed his mask slipping. At first I thought it was just me and the lights were probably playing tricks on me, but soon, I realised it wasn't just me and two of my other close friends also felt the same. Sometimes, he has this maniacal look in his eyes when he smiles. Almost like he's taunting us. I consciously backed away from being close to him and I know he noticed it. He has tried to get close to me again but when he saw I wasn't going to let that happen, he stopped. Sometimes he acts as if I don't exist. I scored the highest in his class this semester, and he didn't even acknowledge me or said congrats, which is weird because he was praising the kid who scored highest last semester. He's very odd. We tried to observe his pattern. Very unpredictable. Sometimes we feel like he has split personality. Very easy to irritate, but won't show. Unfortunately we still have two more months to go. After that, we'll be free. His gaze unsettles me. Usually I can maintain eye contact with people.. Except him. Very creepy and mentally exhausting.
I think you see it in their eyes in unguarded moments when they're not performing , when they momentarily forget to act a certain way. That's when their countenance becomes totally blank and the void behind their eyes becomes momentarily visible. Blink and you'd miss it. If you catch a glimpse of it it's eerily disconcerting ...Almost chilling but for how brief it is.

@@STORMDAME good math. It's astonishing how many the 1% is. I'm currently dealing with one, he fits 90% of the attributes descrbed on this program. And he is able to gaslight the police, the Court, friends and family. It's scarry to be next to him. You feel the proximity of 'evil' with him.
Who's reporting the percentage on this? A psychopath? Lol But, seriously, the population u can guess is probably over 50%. We live in a predator - prey world. It has always been this way.
19:32 I remember when that researcher found out he had the brain of a psychopath. As we know today it is nature AND nurture that is necessary to create a monster. That man was fine, but had he been abused as a child, he might have been a danger to society. Many people are abused as children, I was one of them, but people like this are not a danger to society because we do not have the nature, or the DNA to create a psychopath.
Especially without the proper help to navigate life's lessons and losses. We have become more insulated and isolated with the influx of technology, but now the algorithm knows and watches what makes people tick.

Love all these comments from women claiming their Ex’s were psychopaths who obviously didn’t pay attention to the documentary. If they havnt been evaluated, YOU CANT KNOW! It’s way more likely that your ex has BPD or NPD. Or even more likely that YOU have BPD or NPD and are projecting it to your partner to avoid looking at your part in the relationship. Relationships are a 2-way street and no one is without fault.

All you folks who imagine you can spot a psychopath thru their eyes or their aura or some other Spidey sense for psychos you claim to possess, I would respectfully suggest that you are actually suffering from confirmation bias. You are looking for outward signs of psychopathy in someone you already know isn't normal or even someone you've been married to for years and know extremely well. You aren't counting all the psychopaths you don't have a clue about, which is almost all of them. There are too many cases of men who outwardly lived normal, often mundane lives by day but who stalked raped tortured and murdered people for fun when the mood struck or an opportunity presented itself. Then they return hone and cook dinner with the wife and help the kids with homework and not a single person who knew them had the slightest idea who they really were. Try to find anyone who knew BTK or Israel Keyes personally who has a single negatve word to say about either of these prolific serial killers. There aren't any, every single person the police interviewed once their crimes were discovered spoke of them in glowing terms. No one had a clue
Imagine the people who blindly follow a man who has all of the tendencies of a psychopath to the point that they attacked their own government and would kill for him? That is how powerful these manipulators are. I have seen many a person under the spell of a psychopath and have never had any luck in talking them out of it. Only when the psycopath no longer needed them and turmed on them did they finally wake from the spell they were under.
Imagine being so scared to even consider the notion that your idol is a false idol? That’s cultist mentality and the worse bit is you know it. Because denial and lying to yourself begins in your own mind. I don’t give a flying F about Trump. But I would consider anyone I idolise may not be who they say they are because you simply do not know them! People don’t know their children or spouses are like this, let alone an idol amplified by the media and money!

I don't always regret these actions though. i don't know if this is a calling out for help, or a rant. I just feel really confused right now. I want help, but I feel so far beyond that point, plus it has protected me for so long. I don't know what to do

@@gmercado7298 I think you can go to a psychiatrist to get a diagnosis about it. Simply share your thoughts and claim to be tested. Wow. Currently being chased by a psychopathic killer in the Middle Tennessee area right now, and as anybody could guess I am in complete fear over mine and my family's & friends life. 'suffering life' is the exact term I have been experience of and am in fear of, they are still attempting to comprehend this guy. I'm in complete co-operation with Law Enforcement and federal agents to track down this man who has been over my shoulder the whole time. It is terrifying to experience; and even more horrendous to know there are or were multiple people suffering under his mind games - still currently, as of right now. If anybody in the Middle Tennessee area spots or has seen a strange unmarked black police vehicle driven by a fake-cop by the name of Seannery. y'all better be on the look out. He knows how to get away with murder case-and-point. It probably won't be long before this guy is caught, and they are tracking his every move. I'm not quite finished, and it's been slightly touched on re careers, but being a psychopath and having psychopaths in society is not necessarily a bad thing. Very few psychopaths go out and kill. The types of careers smart psychopaths go into may utilise their psychopathic traits. Lack of empathy can be an advantage. If as a surgeon you are operating on a small child - the same age and sex of your own child say - is it not better to have no emotions to distract you, and instead the psychopath can logically provide the best care? I see the majority of psychopaths as just another neurodiversity.

Jail for life on diagnosis. It cannot be cured.
Good job
@@goldenautumn3073 narc is not psycopathy
And then there’s the common kind who just victimizes his own family. The people who are in their lives don’t comprehend psychopathy, so they usually condemn the victims; the psychopath is a professional liar.
Look in the mirror
You are so right about that.
I saved myself to be able to save my children.
Now, we are all saved from him. My children chose to break contact with him.
He had no empathy and enjoyed the suffering of family members.
Thanks for the info doctor
The inversion! The victims are framed and show up as the problem/ crazy one!

Probably the reason we have fascination for them is bc they can truly function independently.. Most of us when we know we've done something so against norms, the overwhelming resulting emotions of shame, sadness, guilt, etc. Can have a paralyzing effect on our bodies.. but this doesn't happen for the psychopath.. We are only able to do horrendous things when we all collectively decide that it is alright to dehumanize a person or whole group or other species.. Psychopaths are free radicals I guess..

I used to have a friend who I greatly admired. She was fun to be around, very sociable and likable. What I did notice about her was, she never appeared bothered when people wronged her.
That's when I started to back away.
I found out later that she had tried to steal her ex husbands jag and when he stood in front of the car, she smiled at him before running him over. She went to prison and I've never had anything to do with her since.
My son had a friend that was psycopathic. He was a big risk taker.. always testing how far he could go. I say that in the past tense. At 24 years old he took too much of a drug that killed him.
I sure hope you and your friends report the uncomfortable feelings you have because of his behavior.

I think having a diagnosis will make you feel better on the point of uncertainity. Otherwise, you can learn more about how to deal with some feelings for the future by reading, informing yourself about coping and control mechanisms. Meanwhile surrender yourself with people who care about you and love you! I think love and value can be a cure for many disturbances or conditions. On the opposite side, try to stay away from environements that trigger you and undermine your value. These people and toxic environments can get the worst side out of you. Other than that, I wish you the best in life. 🍀

Does the psychopath actually derive pleasure AKA get off on other people's suffering or does he or she just not care?
Great question
Well....as for me personally, I just don't care. I think for most, it's a total lack of empathy for other living creatures. Had I been born in the pre DNA Era of forensics, I'd have been one of the worst, guaranteed. Not because I'm a pervert or a sexpest, I have alot of what I assume is respect and admiration for women in general. But I have a very very strong, deep, immense hatred for pdfiles and bullies. Now those types, Id get pleasure in listening to them cry for their lives. I'd very much be a Dexter type
@@ShitterMcGavinI think a lot of people would. Most of us don't care about the feelings of violent offenders. Psychopaths just don't care about anyone period.
BOTH 🤔a+b=c
the act of not caring fuels their passive aggressive disguise and allows them to be anti-social and into their own damn selves, this in turn🔄👹🔃satiates their non human condition. AN ACTUAL DIFFERENT SPECIES

They are energized by the reaction they get. You'll see it happen if you respond to one.
psychopaths simply do what they CAN do without getting caught. However what fear does to a completely normal person a million times more scary.
Sociopath here... As a milder version with at least some morales and emotion I truly can't imagine how horrible and sad life must feel if only thriving for power and knowing that u should feel something but just don't
Everything in the superficial USA is about dollars, from people to institutions, such as prisons. In Europe it's much more about the people, not possessions, which also goes into the prison system, which is about rehabilitating the criminals back into the society.
Something what we are definitely lacking from you, is death sentence.
I once said to my mother, you know if i was hanging off a cliff i wouldnt trust ( her husband, stepfather) to pull me back up. she replied, to be quite honest i now realize i wouldnt trust him to pull me back up either .
Sounds like a great guy

Been 40 years of gaslighting lies it's not uncommon
12:06 Most people in America fit the "lack of emotional empathy" category like a glove. Is that why the score on the hare test needs to be 5 points higher in America?🤔
I'd be interested in where you founs that factoid about Americans.
12:06 never claimed my perspective to be a fact. Some people have a proclivity to initiate arguments over claims that never happened. Not sure where you see me declaring a fact. Is this what gaslighting is?My original post in the comments is literally attached to this replay.@@chellesama8256
I don't quite think I'm a psychopathic but can definitely shut down emotionally and clear my conscience for enacting revenge against someone who is hurting others or have wronged me. I believe it's just something highly emotionally intelligent people can do.
Every politician is a phyco
I think this is more about your agenda than anything else. It's all about intention!
Please keep yourselves safe out there as I have had to go through some TERRIBLE life-threatening mental torture to survive the grasp of this monster. He targets children and I have witnessed predatory actions first hand and am currently in a paranoid state as I type this.
Wonderfull documentary thank you🎉🎉🎉
I'm not quite finished, and it's been slightly touched on re careers, but being a psychopath and having psychopaths in society is not necessarily a bad thing.
Are you done?
@@albertoarmendariz1827you will be, medium rare
You dont have to be psycho to provide good quality certain job. Normal people can do too ,every surgeon is logic ofherwise they would not be surgeons.
@@albertoarmendariz1827done? I'm not sitting in an oven.
@@user-ye1mq7lk7cno you don't, normal people do great things - but it's very adventageous in many cases.
