Jalan TAR Saturday night market is so much fun ❤ 🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾
Nice to see you enjoyed it, TAR Pasar Malam is popular among Malay in KL, most tourists don't know n seldom visit here. This is a hotspot if you want to experience locals Malay food n culture in KL 👌
Actually, the drink that you called Durian, full name is 'Durian Belanda'(direct translate is Dutch Durian, Real English translation is 'Soursop' fruit) & 'Mata Kucing'(direct translation is Cat(Kucing) Eye(Mata) & in English always refer as 'Longan' fruit, actually is not Longan but same species with Longan).... The Sweet Potato donut is called 'Keria', the one that you have is coating with Coconut Palm Sugar(dark brown in colour), the other version of 'Keria' is coating with melted coarse sugar... 😊
@@herryherry8659 thank you so much for this info 🙏
@@TwoMadExplorers welcome 😊👌
typically pasar malam/night market in Malaysia are just same. They will sale local foods, fruits, clothes, even vegetables and fish. Its the best and cheapest places where locals buy for daily needs. For same places, there are also morning market during Sunday, just like in Greenwood Park, Gombak KL.
3:25 with confident " they have mata Kucing i think it from Kuching Borneo"
Meanwhile me.. trying to hold my laugh.. but.. i just lost there.. this what i love about this channel very spontaneous...
😂😂 we have a lot to learn ❤
@@TwoMadExplorers Mata Kucing or Cat’s Eye Fruit is a cousin of the Longan (Dragon Eye Fruit). The fruit is called Cat’s Eyes because when you peel off the skin and expose the dark seed under the flesh, it looks like a cat’s eye ... have fun exploring
@@TajulAkbarIsmail thank you 🙏
@@TwoMadExplorers 👍
1. You did the right thing to go to Jalan Tar night market. More authentic and full of local vibes. Somehow I don't understand why so many youtubers are so fond of Taman Conought night market. Nothing much to see and exaggerated.
2. The Borneon trios were right. Semporna is consider second to none in term of beauty and has prestine water and beaches. None of any malaysian beautiful island can compare to Semporna.
Taman Connaught caters more for the non-Halal food clientele. It is branded as the longest Pasar Malam (on Wednesdays) so it is more talked about and promoted. Somehow Jalan TAR Pasar Malam (on Saturdays) is not known amongst visitors; maybe more promotion is needed.
Because Connaught is actually good? and don't forget chinese is considered local Malaysian, maybe stop being racist.
16:05 he is Sabahan, he recommend u visit Semporna, Sabah because many beautiful tropical islands there. But if you love beautiful mountain scenery recommend u visit Mount Kinabalu, Kundasang etc.
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
1) The more locals, the more you are experiencing what locals are eating
2) Locals may not just eat local food but other cuisine as well catered to local taste. Don’t be surprised if you find sushi (just like how you found pizza).
Besides vendors, you can ask passerbys as well if you have certain food in mind; it helps if you have screenshots of the food on your phone.
Have fun, and safe travel tomorrow
Thank you so much for your support ❤️❤️🙏🙏
You're such a lovely couple! I love your accents and love watching the both of you enjoy each experience with such sincerity. ❤
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍☺️☺️☺️☺️
I'm happy that you got to go there. That is my favourite night market. I always went there when I lived in KL
the sweet potato donut is called 'keria' (pronounced like 'carrier'). it is a mix of orange sweet potato & purple sweet potato dipped into liquid sugar or palm sugar
'Apam Balik' was the name of the crispy crepe. There are 2 types: crispy & fluffy. The fillings are normally sugar, peanut chunks & corn. try the fluffy one next time...
Thank you so much for your support and information ❤️🙏
You are definitely foodys ❤️all looks delicious. Lovely atmosphere in the market it looks like. Great video 👍📸
Hi Guys, been following you for quite a while now... not quite the beginning, but close!
I must say, you are doing a great job on your video's and the branding that is coming in. It's well thought out, particularly your use of country colors for text in your thumbnails. Small detail but very clever. Well done.
Thank you so much for your support 😊 it means the world to us. Glad to see people noticing little things like that! We hope you’re having a great week 🙏
@@TwoMadExplorers we are working towards out own travel and will reach out might need some help with ideas to get our channel going!

Probably, u both wouldn't want to miss ancient Melaka, first colonzed by the Portuguese (1511) the city has all the reflective history+cultures 😮of Portuguese, Dutch, English, Spanish, Indies Middle Eastern, Malay,Chinese [subset origins; Nyonya] Lots of interesting historical values to unfold..explore n enjoy!
Welcm to MALAYSIA🇲🇾..for the Best day please come and travel to Johor Bahru town here.. Lots of delicious food❤️💙
Woww.. Nice vlog..🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾
These Pasar Malam (Night Market) is a must visit for visitors at least once ; however the quality spectrum ranges wide - with the good , the bad & the ugly 😅😆
It’s an adventure for those who wish variety and choices ; with a chance to savor so many treats all in one location. The fact that it operates at night attenuates the hot weather and allows for a more pleasant stroll albeit the crowd may be overwhelmingly on a school holiday or long weekend 🇲🇾🤦♂️
The pizza makers recommendation is SPOT ON to visit Sempoerna - go island hopping ; you will kick yourself if you do not - it’s certainly an exotic adventure if you choose the right island 🏝️ to suit your preference - do some research , but is a must visit Sabah State islands and Forest 🌳 expeditions & Mount Kinabalu track if you are fit enough for the challenge. Happy travels, Take care & God Bless 🙏🇲🇾✅
Thanks for coming in our Country Malaysia. Hopefully pls come again in the next time in Our Malaysia especially here in KL CITY.

Jalan T.A.R Night Market is
My favorite 💞🤩 because..
The food is not only delicious 😋
but also "Halalan and Toyyiban"!!!
So good 😊
TAR night market is malay night market. Quite busy.
Thank you for your great video 👏🏻
Thank you so much 😊
Nice choice when come to the makan time.... Haaa u even got it free test... Enjoyed your exploration
"Bishop Nose" tongkeng is chiken butt which usually very tasty through bbq.
For Malaysia Night Market (Pasar Malam), there seems to be like 2 types of them. One is "halal" ones where mostly the sellers are Malay while the other can have "non-halal" where sellers are mixed (Chinese, Malay, Thai, etc). The food they sell are not limited to authentic malaysian food and some food they sell can be different. Quite a lot of food you see can be inspired / innovative ones that even malaysians themselves might not have tried them before.
❤️❤️❤️
Nutella vs Keria of course Keria wins! It does smell like maple syrup. It is made from Gula Melaka, local sugar made from the sap of coconut palm tree. I like cooking with gula melaka as it doesn’t have that metallic taste unlike white sugar. It’s also used in Cendol and a lot of desserts in Malaysia.
Nice to see you enjoying Malaysia authentic food.
Brown circle sweet potato. Malay call Kueh Keria with brown sugar or white sugar.
Ayer Mata Kuching. Its name of a fruit, as you peel off the skin and you can the black seed like cat eye. So they call it buah mata kuching or ayer mata kuching.
We really enjoyed this market 🙏😊
Thank you for your help and information
@@TwoMadExplorers You are welcome!!!
Taman Connaught is also as local as you can get. Don’t forget Malaysia is not made of one ethnicity only.
Yes true!
Johore Baharu would be very nice. Go to Kota tinggi could find water fall.
Can't wait another adventure..👍
Thank you ❤️🙏 glad to have you here
Nice one👍😘❤️😊🇲🇾
I'm your new subcriber
Guys.
Another great insight in local Malaysia and Jalon Tar. Luke as a Paddy did you try Guinness ?
No idea where ye are going next but looking forward to next update. Safe travels
Thank you so much for your support!
Luke absolutely loves Guinness but hasn’t tried it in Malaysia (yet) 😂❤️
3:25 Durian Belanda is not really a Durian.. its Soursop..
RM15 for sotong raja (that big squid) is quite cheap. My place is already RM20 since a year ago 🥲
So delicious 🤤
❤🇲🇾
Malay pasar malam have more Malay food than Jalan Alor. I m glad u came here! The likelihood of u being overcharged is less here. Nn food is should be more hygienic as sellers r mostly locals who comply to licensing requirents ie vaccine shots n proper food handling
We love this market 🙏
Jalan Alor 🤣only for tourist,Malaysian don’t like to go there
@@dnshhzreenXYZ yes true 👍 Jalan TAR is much better
Good going guys with all that good food out there. I think you are next, headed to Penang, Malaysia.
Thank you for watching 🙏
Good guess! But not there!
Terima Ksih
You really enjoy kl
See you in TikTok...😊
Okay here are some explanations. Mata Kuching literally translates as 'cat's eyes' and it's a small fruit, which looks pretty much like a cats eye hewn you peel off the skin. Asam Boi is a sour drink made of a tamarind-like fruit. Cendol Pak Lah is just the regular cendol. Pak Lah is the nickname of our 6th Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi. I guess the owner of this stall must be a fan. Oren Sunquick is an orange drink which is made of a concentrate. The brand of that concentrate is Sunquick. The ONLY thing orange about that drink is the colour. Besides that, it's just diabetes in a glass.
Thank you for this 🙏🙏
Nowadays, everything gone expensive..😪. However, hope to see you again. around
Pan cake that you eat. It call Apam Balik. Its come with many flavour. Chocolate, Blueberry and Strawberry. Some are thick and big size.

@@TwoMadExplorers visit Johor then. There is a village called Kampung Parit Jerman. Jerman is the Malay spelling for German.

next place will be Ipoh
That spot where you bought the donuts is very close to where I grew up decades ago. Very, very familiar territory. The area was very different back then. By the way, Bishop's Nose is the pointy rear-end of a chicken. I think you let it slip that you are going to Sabah, so my guess is you are going to KK.
Soon will be Sabah ❤️ but not next 🙏
