Keep us posted on what you do next with that roller 316!

I ended up passing it onto another guy. His plan was to swap another B&S Vanguard into it.

That roller 316 should be a good project for someone as it's in great shape. I bet someone out there has a nice Onan waiting to go in it.

I may even still throw the P218 in it, I haven’t decided yet.

if I had a roller chassis open frame 316 I would try to see if I could try putting a Kohler K341 in it

Just bought a 78 316k love it. I am trying to find the bagger system that fits a 46in mower deck. Please, can you tell me what setup you have rigged up. Looks great. Thanks

I bought a 316 this summer, good tractor, came with the tiller and blade (that's the reason I wanted it). It has the hydraulic lift (which I am told is rare), and the issue I have is with settling. The blade and or tiller settles down rather quickly, but I am not losing hydraulic fluid anywhere. Do you have any thoughts on what the issue might be?

All 316s have hydraulic lift, regardless of if it’s the Onan powered 316 like you see in my videos or the older Kohler powered 316. Hydraulic lift was somewhat uncommon on the 200 series tractors, which I have some videos of as well. If it’s not holding position, chances are the control valve or hydraulic cylinder internal seals are going bad, allowing fluid to pass around them. You won’t really see a visible leak with that.
