"What's On My Bass Drum Pedal?" Grip Peddler Shout Out

- Howdy All. Over the years many viewers have asked me "What is that DW thing on your bass drum pedal?" It's a product I discovered on my 1st tour as a tech working for Kenny Aronoff, and a product I thought was no longer being made. Hence, I never gave it a shout out as why shout out a product that you can't get. Well I WAS WRONG! So to make up for my unawareness on the matter please say hello to the awesome Grip Peddler. The Grip Peddler is a rubber pedal mat that increases your foots grip on the bass drum pedal, allowing you to really dig in to the pedal. Even with feet that are wet, and sticky from a barroom floor. In addition I found that it adds a bit of cushioning for your foot, which is a Godsend for drummers who play 4 hour sets, multiple nights in a row. They have smooth surface models like the one I use. They have models with raised bumps/nodes that allow even MORE grip on your pedal, as well as the "Bump" Model which has a raised rubber ridge that acts as a toe stop so you can use it as leverage for special single bass drum techniques that rely on "bouncing" or "feathering" the pedal. So for all those who wanted to know? Here ya go! :-)

I've used skateboard grip tape on my pedals for years, but this looks pretty sweet!
This is actually something I'm looking for without really looking. I'm usually doing long gigs every month where I'm playing for four hours with breaks in between.
For the sticky, for the icky, for the ankle. 🤣🤣🤣 If those are the issues, this is helpful. Thank you so much for watching.
Hi Kenny.
I’ve used Grip Peddlers since they came out.
Then Pro Mark purchased the company. Flopped w/ them.
Hopefully the product is back in the original hands.
They’re killer. It’d be nice if he could find a better distributor.
Maybe Big Bang Dist…?
Thanks for the killer review.
HI Kenny, what bands did you play in? I had a band called AXIS and we played a lot on 6th street 1992-1998.
I remember Axis. At that time I was playing with my band Vox Bux, and later with my Zep tribute band Custard Pie
Hey, Kenny! Do you know where these can be purchased? I can’t seem to find them in stock anywhere…
www.grippeddler.com should be the place. Thank you so much for watching.
@@KennySharretts I’ll check it out, thank you 👍
@@KennySharrettstheir website doesn’t seem to have any way to purchase? It’s not working for me anyway. Maybe because I’m in Europe?
