- Showcasing the best MTB trails from Pila Bike Park in Aosta Valley Italy. Riding the IXS DH World Cup track, the Black Napa 5 trail and some red trails. After spending a few days here we put together footage from the best trails we enjoyed.
Pila Bike Park is part of the Aosta Valley lift pass network which covers Pila, Cervinia, La Thuile and Metabief. There are 3 lifts in Pila where you can descend from the top ridge all the way to the town of Aosta riding trails all the way. The main bike park trails are mostly red and black with jumps, berms and rock gardens. We normally ride natural / enduro mtb type trails so if you enjoy that sort of riding you should enjoy the trails in this vlog!
This is the first vlog from our Aosta trip so hit subscribe to see other vlogs we'll share from the Pila ridge line, Cervinia / Cervino and La Thuile. The Italian Alps have incredible riding and scenery. Just over the border with France and Switzerland, it's not far to popular spots such as Verbier, Zermatt, Val D'Isere and a couple of hours from Morzine.

The riding there looked great fun, gnarly though in sections! Everytime I watch your videos it inspires me to ride and also reminds me how much I want to restart my own channel. Thanks for the inspiration it's just what I needed! Great riding, this looks like a must to visit!
It got a lot more gnarly than we expected! Some bits too much 😅. Oh that’s so nice to hear! Thank you ☺️ honestly that’s why we do the channel - just to have fun on bikes and inspire riding. Mountain biking is awesome! You should definitely restart your channel! 🙌
Awesome content. The trails look superb. You guys are killing it. Gnarly AF
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! Really good bikepark and so quiet 👌
Brutal😍
Yep it was rough 😅
That DH track looked mad! Looking forward to seeing the rest of the tour guys 🙌
So much more full on than we imagined! Awesome, it’s really fun vlogging/editing the different places and riding. La Thuile has stepped it up a big notch 😅
Well done both of you. That first track looked flipping mental, fantastic riding
Thanks! It was tougher than we expected! 😅
Great video guys loved it looked gnarly and tams laugh sooo funny and it did look mint tam haha
Thanks! Yeah it got a bit more gnarly than we expected! Haha 👊
We’re there last week. Epic bike park👍
Nice 👌 it’s a great wee spot isn’t it!
Pila is amazing. Glad you guys had such a great time. I’m looking forward to seeing the ridge line. Unfortunately, it was closed when I was there.
It is! Really enjoyed it! Oh that’s a shame. There were a few ridge lines but some very exposed so we opted for the least exposed one which had an amazing 2000m descent!
I hope you did the one from the back of the Pila lift station down to the valley floor and San Grato that you access off it through someone’s back garden. Both are excellent
We did the ridge down to Aosta which was super but unfortunately tam has issues with the exposure and it was just too much to go down the opposite side!
@@LauraJaneWeeTamMTB The ridge is a bit exposed. The gully section is great
That looks like the trails here in Tahoe. Steep too.
Ah we’d love it there then!
Looks great fun guys but steep and janky🤙
It was! Full on in places but a good bike park!
May pick your brains when you guys get back. Looking for holiday destination for 2023🤙
You can say "mint" as many times as you want mate, makes a difference from listening to pros videos, who clearly spent all their time on the bike, not at school and only know word "sick" 🤣 So overused, makes me cringe every time I hear it now. Those braking bumps are indeed huge and were huge 12 years ago when I was there last time, they were the size of 26 inch wheels, now they are 29.
I really want to go there now after watching this video, it looks as gnarly as I remember it, thank you!
A bit off topic, does "pila" mean in Czech same is in Polish - "a saw"?
👍 yeah these braking bumps are pretty horrific 🤣. We enjoyed the techy trails as they didn’t have too many! Lots of good trails. Cervinia and La Thuile have also been great. Haha yes it does mean saw 😁
