Man that was real impressive, Söldens trails are SO nice...and full of braking bumps :D BUT please please PLEASE NEVER do what you did at 13:23. Speeding past on such a narrow spot (Tom was almost touching the womans bars) is just bad etiquette. Especially because she was riding with her kid in front. Be aware that Sölden is also a family location, so if there is someone slow in front, you slow down and wait. Also in Austria they have right-hand traffic, so people aren't so aware of being overtaken on the right. That's life. You're always such a cool and nice dude and I love your videos, so please don't stop being a good example!
You should expect faster riders, yes they were beginners, all the more reason for them to stay to the right. Sam and his buddy had their bikes under control..cannot fault them.
seriously disappointed at @Sam Pilgrim and also Tom. you should be an example for kids how to ride but instead you did behave like an a****** on this one.
Absolutely blows my mind how fast Sam is. Sam if you ever read this, would love to see more POV runs of you leading. Not that they're slow my any means (!!) but it always feels like whoever you follow holds you up. Would love to see more videos of you going absolutely flat out like a demon 👌🤘
Hahaha I was the guy in Turquoise Jersey you were overtaking on the bottom of the trail. I didn't realise you are so close. Just heard you screaming "racing line" and taking the manual afterwards 😂
I generally like ya Sam, but that pass at 13:20 was no good. To make it worse, I have seen your response to another commenter saying that pass was bad, and that response was "Oh well." You could have acknowledged it was a bad pass but instead it clearly doesn't matter to you. I hope I'm never at the same bike park as you if this is how you treat the other riders. I made it through the whole video until that point and was enjoying all of it but I couldn't finish it after that pass. It really killed the mood and just because you were "having fun" doesn't mean you get to lessen other people's fun for your own gain.
12:36 I love how Sam said “there’s a load of wimps that had to sit out” when he was complaining for the past 5 minutes about his arms feeling sore. 🤣🤣 But like seriously your a trooper for not stopping down that whole trail 🤘🤘
Sam is that guy you love when he comes to the group rides because he makes it so much fun and you learn a bit when you ride with him. Never a dull moment.
my head is actually moving while watching the POV shot of the run 😅 so much fun watching and feeling like i'm the one riding it from your camera lens 😅
Don't apologize, Sam was being a jerk and has some of the worst trail etiquette I've seen. He expects everyone to get out of his way, but doesn't reciprocate the courtesy.
I love how everyone is riding with their full suspensions and then you get this man with his hard tail going down the same trails and doing the same stuff. Love your vids man!
I believe at 1:48 when they’re dropping in Sam said “on our enduro bikes”.. so I think Sam is on a full suspension for this ride as well. But nonetheless he is a great rider and has mad skills. And big cojones for the full sends he does lol
I'm learning from every biker online that I'm definitely not visiting these types of trails. There is no etiquette or common sense. Don't follow too close, don't take blind turns too fast, don't race past other riders assuming they will stay in place, get off the trail if you stop, and don't get on trails that you aren't prepared for. The woman and child weren't best suited for that trail, but that wasn't cool either.
I remember going to trail on a cheep hard tail my seat snapped off half way around and front shocks just stopped working. I was in agony by the end with arms and back pain, fun times.
Sounds awful. I remember my first serious trail. Didn’t have any shocks yet. They were in the mail and I thought, let’s try this out so I can appreciate them more when they arrive. I knew they would make a difference but I seriously underestimated who miserable it would be without them.
I remember doing Solden-Rettenbach ascent with my dad on roadbikes and passing by this track several times - it looked epic! it's great to see Sam having some quality time there!
That was awesome to watch! Those trails look really good for people that want to get an idea of what bike parks can be like but on a intermediate level
Rad video. I'm digging my basement out and using my 30m sloped garden to build a dirt line with the excavations. These a 5m deep gully left of the garden too.
Or he could've just waited a sec and not ridden so close ... Not everyone cares he's making a UA-cam video, and I love Sam but his trail etiquette is abominable.
What great guys to let you ride their trails… I really like your honest comments for the track…. Perhaps that’s a whole new series? Sam Rides? You could even get a new bike to ride every tack too perhaps? Well done Tom for organising 🫡
Sam definitely does these trails and has never touched a shock pump in his life. Tuning your suspension would make these trails a whole lot better mate!
@@dvs620 yup, you can tell when he rides over rock gardens ... I run the same setup and especially when they pop up suddenly, I always feel like I'm gonna go OTB. Tough on tighter berms too, but pays off on jumps and flow for sure!
@@topspot4834 I think it has more to do with the landing. These guys are getting a lot of air on big jumps. If they kept their forks and tires the way we do, they'd bottom out and cause their tires to burp or damage the wheels.
Sam: Casually sends massive jumps and tricks every day.
Also Sam: “Horrible unnecessary rock garden, I almost died.”
imagine only being able to ride jumps smh

Epic trail ! I done Pen y fan the other day in Wales but stopped 3 times on the decent lol put to shame

my thoughts exactly. Kinda killed the vibe for me a bit
True!
And no comments from Sam to this situation. Thats the reason why i down voted this video.
You should expect faster riders, yes they were beginners, all the more reason for them to stay to the right. Sam and his buddy had their bikes under control..cannot fault them.
The comment of the woman said it all: "oh man, BOYS!" (Translated from German).
Behavior like little boys! Or behavior of Brits in a foreign country?
13:20 You and Tom were bang out of order there. You should have slowed right down and waited for them to let you past instead of barging through.
Oh well
Facts… Poor trail etiquette
seriously disappointed at @Sam Pilgrim and also Tom. you should be an example for kids how to ride but instead you did behave like an a****** on this one.
Yes that was very uncool. There was a kid! Really inconsiderate...

Awesome video great trail! But feel like that was pretty low almost running over that little kid.
While you’re there, I really advise you to ride „Leiterberg-Trail“. Sickest one there by far. Singletrail like I’ve never ridden before
