These cymbals actually sound pretty good in the recording. I'm wondering if they would work well for very low volume gigs paired with a pancake kit.
The heads definitely sound way better than previous mesh heads, though for me the snare is a bit odd and it also sounds like it kinda kills the tone of the snare as well, which is usually a pretty important thing for most drummers.
I like most of the cymbals.
The ride is really nice and has a solid bell for being low volume. Out of the crashes, I think the larger one above the ride sounds better, but they’re both workable. For me though, it’s mainly the hats that can get real weird… sure you can have your normal lights taps with it closed, but me being someone that likes to incorporate my hats a lot and keep them wider apart than most; I think they just sound weird when going between open and closed.
Edit: Even closed, they still sound like a basket or something.

definite progress...snare still seems to be missing the mark a little. Do you know if anyone is using these in a live setting with mics? I'm definitely impressed by the cymbals!

Can you do in your next video like a really short comparison to a real acoustic kid without those heads. Then I’d be able to hear the true difference. Because to me this still sounds really loud, way and way louder than a roland Ekit?
It is louder than a Roland e-kit, if you want the quietest option, check out the DB Zero heads, but these are kind of a crossover. I believe Drumeo did a direct comparison, I might be able to do one myself too!

E kits are quite loud especially with the kick pedal. People a floor below you can still tell you are practicing
@@csciabar but that’s because of the contact noise of the pedal which is the same for a pedal with an acoustic kit…

Them sticks look much thinner in diameter than regular sticks!
My legs ache just looking at you sat that low down and having to lift your leg up to use the kick.
The whole kit seemed to go together but the Bass Drum was way over the top and killed the mood. The package seemed cool just fill the Bass Drum with soft blankets.
