So I'm getting this kit on Amazon would the upgraded chain tensioner its black and spring loaded as well as the ignition could up grade are any of this any good
Honestly the stock ignition is plenty for this motor, it’s reliable and I wouldn’t change it. Ur the chain tensioner yes! That is an amazing upgrade for this kit. It’s a lot more reliable and safer than using the one provided.
@Barrios Builds ty very much I can't wait if I run in to any issues I'll just post em here u seem to know your stuff very informative and ty for responding
Just regular 87 I believe, then mix your oil with the gas. I always buy that pre mix stuff, but you can get more out of your engine by using your own mix. Because you can use your own ratio.
@@AlShams69 I wouldn’t worry about it. In the end you may get better performance, at least that’s what the 4 stroke guys say. But I’d just stick with 87. Cheap, reliable, etc.
@@AlShams69 honestly, I don’t think it matters. I’ve used white lithium, bearing grease, etc. just be sure the bucking bar and ball are greased, probably the most important part for greasing.
The kill switch and the throttle handle are one unit so if you installed the throttle handle and cable then all you have to do is wire just plugs into the motor. Black with black and blue with blue (sometimes it’s red).
The only way for the chain to move when the motor is off is when you pull in the clutch, you should be able to walk with the bike while holding the clutch. If not, check to make sure your clutch is adjusted properly, and that your chain isn’t too tight.
You can put all kinds of mods, I think it’s a fun part of the hobby. Exhausts, intakes, carburetors, heads, reed valves, etc. and they are a blast to ride.

I have a question? When i finally put everything on the bike and tried to start it by pedaling then everything else. But the bike wouldnt even let me pedal, so i got someone to tow me as i pedaled. This started the engine and i could pull the accelerator and get some action going but as soon as i lost speed and momentum from the person towing me. It would turn off, this happened three time and on the third time it knocked the he chain off, popped my tire, and i ended up drifting. How do I fix this because I really want to my bike?
Sounds like your clutch is locked up, or something. Check the handle and make sure when you pull the lever the arm on the clutch moves. If it doesn’t you’ll need to adjust the flower nut under the clutch cover. Sometimes they won’t be adjusted correctly from the factory.
Hey I need a little help, all my electrical stuff works fine i tested it and bought a new NGK-B6HS spark plug but my engine will not start. You got any tips?
@@bardiamirzahekmati7406 did you try the spark trick? Holding the spark plug where it touches the motor and walk with the bike to see if you have spark? If you do, then it’s probably fuel, make sure you got fuel getting to the carb. Then make sure your jet is not clogged. Next is air, make sure the bike is getting air through the filter. And next is compression, hopefully it’s not that because you’d need a new jug assembly. These motors are VERY cheaply made so it does happen.
Yo was good man I just got a new chain today but the adapter comes on Sunday. So what I’m going to try and do for now is just to try and straighten the sprocket until it comes. Just so I have shit I can do on my day off 😂. I’ll of course keep you updated and I’ll tell you when or if I works and how well it performs with the upgrades I made already

hey, im a little late but im wondering how big the frame is/ what bike is it? cause it didnt fit on mine so could you please tell me the exact bike and model you have
This is a road master bike from Walmart. They were my favorite frame to put motors on until Walmart discontinued them. Now they are kind of hard to find. I think the model is granite peak, they are blue but this one just doesn’t have any stickers.
@@JalapenoSmoothie that’s weird, I’ve personally haven’t had one to be defective. But I’m sure it’s possible. Just that barrel should be in the notch on the sleeve. And if you pull the other end of the throttle cable the sleeve should move up and if you let go the spring should bring it back down.
Yes the exhaust that came with the kit worked perfectly. He just wanted the spare I had on hand, but it didn’t end up working. So we just used the exhaust that came with the kit.
Mountain bikes are my favorite because you can go off road. But sadly this frame is discontinued. I’d just take a tape measure to Walmart, lol exactly what I did with these.
Yeah, the entire jug assembly is different. And I’ve heard people have problems with them. If it’s not too late I would still get the 80cc version. Just a personal preference, but I don’t know much about the 100cc
@@DeadSharkOG yes, most of the parts from the 100cc kit should bolt on to the 80cc motor. Only thing that might not work is the exhaust and intake manifold. But most 80cc engines come with intakes.
You’re gonna need a spacer that goes between the sprocket and the disc brake. And then figure out some way to mount the caliper. It’s in the plans for me, and I’ll be sure to make a video on it. I already have all the parts.
Hey man I’m buying my kit next week but I’m going for the 100CC one. I have a question about it though. When they say this “Fuel type: 90#, Mixing Ratio of Fuel and engine oil: 16:1 for new equipment, 20: 1 the run-in period (after running 500km)” I don’t understand what kind of fuel that is especially when I don’t know anything about gas or different types of gas. Can you help?
Yes, don’t listen to the manual. The engine will smoke to death and won’t actually break in properly. Pretty much burning oil. Just use 40:1, even on first start.
@@barriosbuilds7688 oh wait ONE MORE QUESTION 💀. Do I have to drill a hole into the handlebar for the throttle thingy? I seen someone else just get pliers and snip the thing inside of the throttle thing is that okay?
@@DeadSharkOG depends, sometimes you’ll get a metal one and you can’t snap it off. But It’s best to drill the handle bar. Because the entire throttle assembly will twist if you don’t. But it might work if you tighten the Jesus out of it.
Hey man one more question, can you list some upgrades I can do that will effect the performance of the bike? Like upgrades to go faster? Or more miles?
Exhausted with an expansion chamber, carburetor, racing head, and smaller sprocket for speed. Don’t get a smaller sprocket if you live near hills. Sometimes the stock carburetor is best, and it’s cheap to fix.
I really like to use mountain bikes because they can go off road comfortably, but for the clutch lever it can be loose but as long as the clutch fully disengages and engages your good. You can adjust the flower nut on the other side of the bike under the cover if needed.
I mean they definitely won’t ride smooth. There are so many vibrations coming from that motor. And depending on the frame with the bumps and motor vibration, it can make a very rough ride.
Yo bro after like 2 months and $800 later I finally got it up and running bro. I put rubber in between the engine to relief the vibrations it gives off 😂. Ima make upgrades soon as well, I made a spark plug upgrade first though, I got a B7hs spark plug I think it was called. But anyways can you list some upgrades I can make?
I like mountain bikes because it makes a great trail bike. These are just cheap Walmart bikes, and I loved them but they got discontinued. Currently still using these frames and don’t plan on changing.
Yes, you just need a spacer that goes in between the sprocket and the brake disc. And then I think a custom mount for the caliper. A lot of work, but it’s in the plans for one of my builds.

Two stroke oil mix, like used in chainsaws and weed eaters. I personally use 40:1 oil mix.
Thanks bud. For real. I thought i got the wrong size bike lol i got the bolts on backwards for the back sprocket
Did you have to cut the chain? I have the same kit and I think my chain is too long
Yes you will need to cut the chain. They give you a lot to accommodate larger frames.
That's a "round slide " carburetor. Round because of it's shape they also have "flat slides" as well .
And The gas on/off switch is called a "Petcock"
So I'm getting this kit on Amazon would the upgraded chain tensioner its black and spring loaded as well as the ignition could up grade are any of this any good
Honestly the stock ignition is plenty for this motor, it’s reliable and I wouldn’t change it. Ur the chain tensioner yes! That is an amazing upgrade for this kit. It’s a lot more reliable and safer than using the one provided.

maybe if you spoke English we could help
Did I miss when he did the kill switch? I can’t figure out where it goes
The kill switch and the throttle handle are one unit so if you installed the throttle handle and cable then all you have to do is wire just plugs into the motor. Black with black and blue with blue (sometimes it’s red).
I just finished mine but when I put the chain on the back wheel just doesn’t turn. Any clue why?
The only way for the chain to move when the motor is off is when you pull in the clutch, you should be able to walk with the bike while holding the clutch. If not, check to make sure your clutch is adjusted properly, and that your chain isn’t too tight.
Can you get speed equipment for stuff like this, like a supercharger for a four stroke engine?
You can put all kinds of mods, I think it’s a fun part of the hobby. Exhausts, intakes, carburetors, heads, reed valves, etc. and they are a blast to ride.

When i finally put everything on the bike and tried to start it by pedaling then everything else. But the bike wouldnt even let me pedal, so i got someone to tow me as i pedaled.

@@bardiamirzahekmati7406 did you try the spark trick? Holding the spark plug where it touches the motor and walk with the bike to see if you have spark? will this fit specialized mountain bike xl men
As long as the engine will fit in the main frame of the bike, you will be good. I like to go to Walmart with a tape measure!

hi i have the same engine but i cant get it to spark .?
Hey man I’m buying my kit next week but I’m going for the 100CC one. I have a question about it though. When they say this “Fuel type: 90#, Mixing Ratio of Fuel and engine oil: 16:1 for new equipment, 20: 1 the run-in period (after running 500km)” I don’t understand what kind of fuel that is especially when I don’t know anything about gas or different types of gas. Can you help?
Can I still use the 40:1 gas?
Yes, don’t listen to the manual. The engine will smoke to death and won’t actually break in properly. Pretty much burning oil. Just use 40:1, even on first start.
@@barriosbuilds7688 alright thanks man.
@@barriosbuilds7688 oh wait ONE MORE QUESTION 💀. Do I have to drill a hole into the handlebar for the throttle thingy? I seen someone else just get pliers and snip the thing inside of the throttle thing is that okay?

Maybe 30-35. With mods it will go faster.

Also is the actual lever on the engine the clutch is it supposed to be really loose
I really like to use mountain bikes because they can go off road comfortably, but for the clutch lever it can be loose but as long as the clutch fully disengages and engages your good. You can adjust the flower nut on the other side of the bike under the cover if needed.

I like mountain bikes because it makes a great trail bike. These are just cheap Walmart bikes, and I loved them but they got discontinued. Currently still using these frames and don’t plan on changing.
Can you install 50cc motor on mountain bikes with rear disk brakes
Yes, you just need a spacer that goes in between the sprocket and the brake disc. And then I think a custom mount for the caliper. A lot of work, but it’s in the plans for one of my builds.
