Seen Frenzy 40 yrs back,it's still a masterpiece...Hitchcock the master of suspense 👌👍👏
The last hurrah of Hitchcock’s illustrious career
great film and one of hitchcock’s best films
Anyone who looks closely can spot Hitchcock as early as 2:24 - he is leaning against the wall at the lower left edge of the picture.
The one with the bolar hat.
"Its another necktie murder! Oh its like Jack the Ripper. Oh no no dear he used to carve them up". Lol.
One of my most favorite movies❤
The opening scene WITHOUT credits? Where do you get this footage? Never saw it before! What a gem!
THANK YOU for sharing this opening theme ! It's interesting to compare it to the rejected theme from Henry Mancini (both are good, but Mancini's has an eerie feel to it. This opening theme is upbeat & could be used for any type of film). CHEERS !! :-)
@@highhopes9654 great film
One of my favorite Hitchcock films. So droll, and such a quirky view of human nature, and evil.
This opening scene could have been produced and directed only by a genius-which Alfred Hitchcock was. Happy 125 to the master. Thanks for posting it.
I love the potato sack and lorry scene
One of Hitchcocks best films. Very good actors and a lot black english humor.
Hitchcock's last great film and that time it became a superhit.
The Thames for centuries was treated like a sewer.
It's better today but old England has a long way to go.
You can tell how civilized a country is by its streams, lakes, rivers and of course, the ocean, Atlantic-Pacific.
Goodbye Piccadilly, hello Leic...
... my favorite film of Mister Hitchcock :-)
London County Hall is where the London Eye now stands. And the London Aquarium
County Hall still stands - it's a hotel. The London Eye is on the Embankment nearby.
Alfred Hitchcock is a name most viewers would be familiar with. After all, he is the director behind acclaimed classics such as “Rear Window” (1954), “Vertigo” (1958), “North By Northwest” (1959), “PSYCHO” (1960) and “THE BIRDS” (1963)…
The master of suspense has 61 directing credits to his name (though “The Mountain Eagle” (1926), a silent drama, has been lost to time), meaning that there is a rich supply of pictures beyond the most iconic titles.
Among those underrated, underappreciated motion pictures, “FRENZY”* (1972) starring the likes of Jon Finch, Alec McCowen and Barry Foster.
Hitch’s penultimate flick was made in England. Based on a 1966 novel by Arthur La bern, “Frenzy” might be his most violent and racy oeuvre ever. It contains a certain grit and depravity that usually only got hinted at in his American productions, and doesn’t pull many punches in its story about a serial killer throwing England into chaos… and a down-on-his-luck fellow who gets falsely accused of being the killer.
“Frenzy” is a somewhat rough movie, the lack of polish and Hollywood sheen making it quite unique. And for those who like dark comedy and old-fashioned suspense, the thriller delivers both in spades. 💙🎬💚
RE-WORTH WATCHING‼️
May you rest in peace (IF YOU CAN❕) Alfred Joseph Hitchcock (1899 - 1980)… 🌹
* Alfred Hitchcock’s cameo appearance can be seen three minutes into the story in the centre of a crowd scene, wearing a bowler hat.
Tower Bridge looks a lot cleaner now.
How did they get the continuo0us bridge approach shot along the river? It seems like a helicopter was used, but close to the bridge at water level there's no downdraught rippling
They utilized a zoom lens as aircraft was not allowed to fly under the bridge in 1971/72. I do not know if that has changed in recent years.
My fave Hitchcock movie 🎬 ❤ Jon Finch was so good looking 😍 👌
Mrs Warboys at 4:22
How did you remove the credits?
If Alfred hitchcock is deceased then who runs this channel...
Maybe instructions are given via Ouji Board.... :-)
あ全角ヴSALEM - his great nieces 💚
Lisa Gialucci I didn’t know that! Thanks for informing me 🙂
Ghost's
His cousin brother Ditchcock
No I didn't spot him
Hitchcock alert ♡♡♡
@ 3:20 (bowler hat)
Also at 4:06 at the bottom.
He stands against the wall as soon as 2:24 - look closely!
Closely if you look at the spectators in the crowd Hitchcock is wearing a black hat and black suit.
