Thank You Alfred Hitchcock for making Frenzy! Thank you Jean Marsh for creating Upstairs Downstairs! We also enjoyed seeing Clive Swift on Keeping up Appearances! Both on PBS !
RIP Clive Swift who has died aged 82, Jean Marsh I only really know from my childhood, she was in a show called the Ghost Hunter. I'm glad I was born in 1990s when we had good films, television shows and children's shows. Unlike now, all about reality shows and looks etc. and who earns the most and actors with no real talent.
Thanks so much for sharing this! I’d love to see the rest of this if it’s available anywhere. Clive Swift played Hitchcock in a radio play with Patrick Stewart as Raymond Chandler in which they’re working on Strangers on a Train! Wow; I had no idea, and must find it. Does anyone here know where it’s available? Thank you!
Have you ever noticed this very peculiar coincidence? In this film with Clive Swift a woman who looks remarkably like Hyacinth appears in the opening scene. I always wonder if it actually IS Patricia Routledge. She’s listening to the dignitary give his speech before it’s interrupted by the discovery of the body. There’s a close two-shot of her and a decorated male companion.
I think it should be re-titled "Clive Swift Talks about himself and Frenzy". To bad Jean Marsh didn't get more than half a dozen words in. Her character actually makes the film.
I corresponded with Clive Swift in the 80s when i was considering being an actor. Very kind man. I met him subsequently and he was charming.
I could literally sit around and listen to stories about the makings of these movies all day long. I loved Clive Swift's explanations ❤️
Yes, listening to the late Clive (1936 - 2019) you feel as if you were there, he paints a true picture.

Jean Marsh obviously still recovering from the stroke she suffered in 2011.
Hitch believed if he hired the right actors they would know what they were doing and he didn't interfere unnecessarily.
Looks as though the video ended before the Q&A was over. Shame. Still, very nice!
Clive Swift ❤️

Poor Clive Swift he lost his daughter and brother in the same year of 2017
Clive would have made a great Hitchcock.

@Capri You’re correct, I’m sure. And you’re kind to take the time to reply; I appreciate it very much!
Hitchcock's wife Alma had suffered a stroke, not Hitchcock himself.

Clive Swift not a very nice person
What makes you say that? Is that part of his reputation?
