McDonald’s Wants Us Back

- Fast food life ? Not for many of us as McDonald’s unveils its five dollar family meal deal. The thing is, we are already over it. They have the highest fast food prices, with the worst for our health, without any form of customer service.
Go to In and Out, go to Chic Fil A. Watch people greet you, ask your name, chat with you, give you half the price of McDonald’s and thank you for coming. How as the biggest fast food chain in the world are you not training and enforcing what is easy for competitors?
Unless we are rushed or don’t have another option, we are done.

Fun fact: for $16 you can get a ten pack of organic grass fed beef hamburger patties at Costco.
Yeah, but chicken nuggets taste really good
Taste better than fast food?
@@MattRieck I think so! Healthier too. With my burger I like to chop up sweet potato with olive oil, salt, paprika, and rosemary and air fry them for French fries. Definitely way healthier than the GMO Frankenstein seed oils McDonald's Cooks their fries in.
We need to contribute money to a single fast food restaurant with cheap prices and locally sourced organic food.
@@JmanHarbo It's called YOUR KITCHEN my friend!
I quit McDonalds in total 4 years ago. Over the course of my lifetime they have gotten too big for their britches as we used to say. They are completely out of touch with their customer base. They also don’t care. I hate to say it, but I hope they fail. They are not what they used to be, so they are of no use to me. It would be better if they were replaced by something like In and Out or Chic-Fil-A. Like you said they really do car about customer service!
Where do you go now instead?
@@MattRieck actually, in 2020, my wife and I escaped from LA, and now live in a rural area of North Carolina. Have to drive too far for fast food, besides, now that I’m retired I have time to cook. So, I make the most of it in our own kitchen. So, there’s no comparison and no going back. Once in a blue moon we’ll get take out. But McD’s is pretty much off the menu completely. Their quality is so bad now. 60 years they were my favorite restaurant. Sadly, not even close now.
Four small hamburgers with a single small fry the other day... over $14 bucks.
Not worth it anymore?
McDonald's needs to work on their food recipes. Every time i go there, i feel like absolute garbage afterward. Like i had drank from a firehose of lard. I quite McDonald's over a decade ago because no other restaurant makes me feel like I am 80 year old man in one meal when im really 20. Something in their food my body absolutely hates. Im not joking.
Im fine with paying more if the quality matches & they take whatever im reacting to out. Otherwise, they can have a 1 cent meal. I'll never set foot in one again.
It’s horrible for you isn’t it?
That 5 dollar deal is only until the end of June and not at all locations.
They think we're stupid.
I haven't eaten fast food in over a decade and I darn sure won't now.
Is the one month to get people re-addicted?
You were on my UA-cam recommendations for some reason. The prices depend a lot by state. $15 Minimum wage was a socialist bait and switch tactic, a fringe idea. Several States have gone from $8-9 minimum wage to $15 during a inflation crisis, just in the last year. You can look up minimum wage, by state, and McDonald's prices, by state. States like Connecticut, that have $15 minimum wage ended up with $18 Big Macs. In North Carolina, prices are pretty stable. A lot of people received what they voted for.
So is it more affordable in your state?
Breakfast sandwhich is .50c with the deal I get it everyday
Is that using the app?
@@MattRieck yea may be particular to specific franchises and only for a limited time.
Must be the location. Generally I don't want a personal name relationship with servers. However I somehow developed one with a few Mcdonald employees.
But those other chains ask your name. That is customer service 101 isn’t it?
i havent eaten mcdonalds unless mcribs
Do you miss the McRib?
@@MattRieck heck yeah i do!
This makes me think people are truly NPCs. McDonald's can price their slop however they want. Just go somewhere else. Simple as that. McDonald's has been obsolete since the invention of the smartphone. The entire point of chain restaurants is the assurances of a familiar menu and quality control. I can use google to find any number of good restaurants or food trucks around me. Or better yet find a supermarket where I can buy my food and make it my own darn self.
Is it though? The drive through is always full.
Not to brag but I haven't had fast food for almost 20 years. Taco shops and lunch specials serve better food for less.
Aren’t taco shops fast food?
@@MattRieck Tell that to the owners who start before dawn to prepare the beans and roast the meat and fresh salsa. Fast food for the customers, not food made fast.
Wait, I'm confused. They took advantage of people not having money by charging them more money? Also, why does he think the prices at McDonald's are worse? Shit cost about the same.
His In-N-Out order (couldn't find how much they uncharged for the large shake):
Double-Double- 4.90
Fries- 2.15
Shake- 2.80
Total- 9.85 (said $12 so let's say the extra cost was the up charge/tax)
Same thing at Mc:
BigMac- 4.89
Fries- 2.79
Large Shake- 3.89
Total- 11.57
So, $12......Same as In-N-Out. Have whatever preference you want but when people complain about option B when option A is the same, it comes across as old man yelling at cloud.
Lol end of the day they cost about the same, taste about the same, and are just as good for you. Customer service will depend on location, management and what you prefer.
Personally, I'm not so old I talk to the cashier in the market so I don't want my drive through people asking me about my day. Smalltalk is worthless lol.
It hasn’t gone up in your area?
I don't understand how a $5 meal is some kind of new low-price bargain. I've been getting the $3 value menu for years, a McDouble and small fries for $3. Does that menu not exist in most places? The bottle of water I have with the meal removes the most unhealthy part of the meal, which is the soda or the shake.
Does that fill you up? How do you feel afterward?
