Love the idea of breaking the shots up and not being all over the place. Super helpful tips along with the lower angle sweeping shots too.
For anyone getting frustrated with the shakiness of their hand held panning (moving from side to side or whichever direction) just practice. It gets easier and more fluid as your body learns the muscle memory of the movement.
I found just getting my camera in a rig, essentially adding weight just made it easier to achieve smoother hand held shots.
Good explanation vid but to be honest I thought I your "pro" edited version was too rushed/jumpy. I would have enjoyed it more had you spent a bit more time on each shot.
Hope you enjoy the simple edit and it helps you take your own video to the next level!
Hi, you use stabilized settings or catalyst browse?
You always make amazing tutorials mate ...thanks for sharing your tips ...you are a legend
Excellent take Sean ! Thanks for all the info. Another thing beginners ( like me ) think, is that a shot that every pro takes is perfect, and that's not the case. You actually need a lot of footage to complete a single B-ROLL and most of them are unusable.
Your work is always great... thank you for your effortless teaching
Love your video. I will practice something similar to improve my skills, thank you.
awesome result, your videos are always very helpful, thank you!
Sean your instructions are excellent. It would be very interesting to see how you view a location and come up with a plan on what you actually are going to take video of and why. You make it look super easy and obviously you have an intuitive knowledge of what will work. When I show up at a location I sometimes struggle to know what to use in b-roll particularly if the location doesn't have stunning content. I am usually at a location because of wildlife and this is the main subject so I may just be in a forest that is fairly common or consistent. It also would be interesting to see how you use b-roll to supplement into a video that has an obvious subject. Best regards, Jeff
We're in the same boat my bro...
Thanjs for this video! I started my youtube channel not too long ago and decided to improve on my video quality recently, i love the process of content creating and sharing my passion and knowledge in sports and fitness. So these beginner tutorials are very useful and hopefully I’ll be able to employ these in my future vids. Keep it up man!
Thank you! I've learn quite a bit...
That was great…love the technique
Yo this video was so good. Very helpful and you kept my attention to the end which is even better.
Awesome Tips!!
Thank you for this awesomd Pro B roll tutorial. I'm from Palawan, Philippines.
Thank you ❤️❤️💯💪🏾
Great video man!!
Hi from Germany, again a nice and very helpful tutorial. I learned so much from you - thanks lot for your work
Super useful tutorial. Thanks! - Dave
loving all the help your throwing out there Sean. I'm upgrading from my gopro to my first dslr been watching your videos non stop!!! Any tips tricks or advice for somone getting there first dslr.
they both look the same to me, the second one its a just a lot of jump cut that all.
Thanks for sharing this Sir
Thank you bro, im trying to get my B-roll to this level !
The great work
Sick!
thank you
great job my friend, waiting for new videos
Lokasinya di pantai sangat indah ya lokasi shootingnya👍👍👍
Very well done. This helps a great deal. Going to try it out. We do a lot of waterfalls, any advice?
I like all your tips and ideas. Just one question if you don't mind. Every time you change your location and position to shoot. Do you change your camera settings. Because I hear you about camera settings. Thanks again bro.
Are you shooting in slog? Is so how do you expose it? Can you make a video on how you expose your footage
Hey man, always watching your videos since 2019...
When the sun flaring is used and why? (Not sure if i formed my question correctly).
In movies when there is a lot of drama there are flares too
Saya suka
Super🎥🎥🎥🎥👌👌👌
Thank you for this🤗 I learned a lot from this video. My dream is to become a photographer or videographer and content creator . I'm very inspired of your works. Keep it up . Watching from Philippines
Hey my friend. I just wanted to know what is the focus mode that you use.
Hello sir watching your Vlog from philippines
Great video Sean !!! Oh I've seen you've upgraded your gear to an a7SIII ?? or A7IV ?
Very informative as usual Sean. The video filming you though is very dark. Hard to see all the time
Your video edit was way too fast for the amount of time you spent on the beach. Again, great work though. Love your work. Love Squarespace, love Gili, love the ship wreck, love plastic on the beach!
i notice you change your zoom but im curious if youre changing your aperture or shutter speed throughout the different shots ? sorry if this is a obvious question but im a beginner
Do you always record in 60fps so that it can be slowed down when editing?
Enjoy bali..nunggalan beach..thanks
What lavalier did you use because it stands out great in the wind !
Sean, I found your UA-cam channel and I'm loving your content!! At what point do you shoot from left to right and right to left? I love how you break up the shots!!
Ah that is awesome to hear! I find myself going left to right most to be honest it just gives the feeling of going somewhere more. Maybe has something to do with the way we read Im not sure actually. I think if the scene or locations fits the other way it works just fine though so do both!
good
Great work. Always informative! Since I started my channel I feel like my filming skills have improved. Considering I only have my phone and a go pro! There's still a lot of room for improvement! Never stop learning! Appreciate ya!🤙
bruh, You're brave man. I would never let my camera get that close to the water. I just cannot if it gets wet >_
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Im always watching your video. I hope Someday i make a good cinematic video in my channel
These bushes are cool 😎 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
why is this video so insanely dark?
Nisi VND filter???
అన్నా🥰🥰 నమస్కారము 🙏🙏😍😍 బాగున్నావా
Another epic class ♥️♥️
Hi bro ❤❤❤❤
I saw you in the canggu area and said hello but you didn't see me
Hi bro
cute
you are very cool and your videos
Cos of bad connection No. 659 viewer 😁😁
Felt like it was too fast 🤔🤔🤔
Hi, brother. You are really cool. ❤️ from Bangladesh🥰🤘. I'm a travel vlogger from Bangladesh. I have learned lots of thing from your video. But, I need a suggestion. I'm using canon m50, will you suggest me a lens for Cinematic for my travel vlog...🥺
your camera man is so bad haha. the footage is too dark. great content btw
Nice video beautiful
i think a bit of of warp stabilising would have given the last video 🤌🏿
The second version is actuañly pretty badly edited. You could've just made a few still shots. Movement are barely noticeable. For me they both lind look ok. None is actually better.
your camera man needs to get fired lol
The last version was crap.. cuts were far too quick
I like it but I guess edits are subjective. Thanks for watching anyway.
First few minutes are just roasting beginners 😂
you make videos great but speak too much.😄😄
Another BS promotion of a squarespace. Tons of affiliate links. I hate this attitude. How about using a gimbal if you call this a PRO b-roll?
