That much effort for 26 sec shot... Imagine a 2.5 hours long movie... 😲
Respect for filmmakers 👏🏻🙏 🎥
Not just video editing too but there are soo many people who make film and he is only 1guy
He also had to explain everything to viewers. If you already know what you're doing, then the whole process is also much faster. But yeah, editing probably took more time than filming it. Great tutorial :)
True
just imagine a whole 3 plus seasons of a show lol
In big budget movies, sometimes, you will have to shoot one single scene for a whole day. Yup !!!
I’ve been searching for vids that actually teach some practical skills and I couldn’t find any, until I found your channel and kinda binge watched all of your vids. You’re a real deal and not messing around like a lot of others on UA-cam and I found all your tutorials very helpful and detailed explanation really helps the viewer understand what to do and what not to. Thank you so much for putting in time and effort for making these. Please keep them coming. Very useful. Love from India 💛
Amen.
Yeah right? Like half the time you click a video from a "famous filmmaker" on UA-cam, and the first 7 minutes are them talking about their day or plugging skillshare.
Hey Aditi, what do you edit with?
Really great video
Jesus Christ loves you and all
Just had to pause the video to say that dude... you are like my new *favorite* person! Holy crow!! *SO* many ingenious ideas here. Especially holding the tripod upside down while walking. I live in an area where it snows 6 months out of the year. That old "use a skateboard" tip that everyone gives is LITERALLY useless here in Northern Michigan. But this? *THIS* is gold. Thanks Sean!!!
Seriously.
This makes an ordinary location look way better then it really is, sweet BHS tutorial. please keep them coming!
When you're a creator you really wanted to learn new things and ideas in filming... your tutorial is awesome!
This guy has talent. He's gonna be a major one on UA-cam soon.
Totally agree
Truth
autofocus is talented too. smh
Respect. I agree. We’re starting that wave.
👍
Only recently got myself a grown-up camera and have spent so many hours watching tutorials, UA-cam, Skillshare etc. But I've gotta say, having only discovered it last night, your channel is easily some of the most valuable information I've come across.
Who needs film school?! We got it all locked down right here! THANK YOU for sharing much knowledge. Just in time for my personal video challenges. I'm more comfortable with shooting myself. You got a new subscriber!
I love the behind the scenes feeling of this vid! More like this please
I cannot thank you enough. I learned a lot from you, thank you very much.
Instablaster.
Gosh there is so much in this to try out! You explain everything so clearly thank you so much for taking the time to make this. Looking forward to seeing how you edited the footage. Subscribed and liked superb channel. I have a football vlog channel so don't have the time to film in that way but it is B-Roll footage I dream about shooting it will still help my thinking with the establishing shots and the left to right movement especially during my approaches to football grounds. Thank you so much from the UK😊👍
That was crazy! I would never know from seeing the end product that you filmed this yourself. Awesome stuff man, thanks for the upload.
This was so detailed and inspiring at the same time. Thank you for this Sean! That sequence was sooooooooo cool. I'm impressed. Thank you again
Great tips and really nice result. I'm a solo creator so this has been really helpful as I've been struggling with ideas for interesting b-roll. Would be really interesting if you could do a video about how you edited and cut the clips together. Thanks for this great video though.
The Rich Maxwell Channel agree!
Agree!
Absolutely!
Yes I surly would appreciate that too
That would be something great!
It's so nice having someone showing step by step these bts! Thanks!
This helps tons, thanks bro! 💯
That cinematic scee was soooooo impressive. I enjoyed this video, and it has helped me with a few ideas.
This is SO helpful! I'm excited to go outside and start filming right now!
Over the last year, I’ve watched this video at least 10-times...one of my absolute favorites for meaningful and useable B-roll techniques that yield great results without over-priced gear and magical camera shooting tricks. Thanks, Brother Sean. Be well.

I love that the 35mm is a Pentax K-1000. One of my favorite 35mm cameras ever. Tough as nails and steady! I have had a couple over the years and love them so much. Good taste.
Nice video. Great tips.
Thank you so much Sean for sharing your gift. Learned so much on your channel.
Omg!!! You are amazing at this! This video popped up on my suggestions and I'm glad it did. Very nice work! 👍🏽
Binge watching this channel this weekend. I do a lot of solo vlogging and my b-roll is downright atrocious. Thanks for all the helpful tips!
That was really cool #keepfilming
Ohhhhh the exposure trick is golden. I’m even more excited to go out and make beauteeful B roll. Loving the idea of forward-moving shots to open up a video... Thank you Sean!

me: switches camera on, walks away...... walks back towards camera.
And that... is what you call an excellent video! Great tutorial, broke it down really easily and simply into all the little steps yet was still direct and to the point. The final edit was briliant! Great flow. Gonna watch more of your videos now.
These tips have been amazing to start learning thank you so much for all your hard work!!!!
Awesome walkthrough! Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you for yet another fantastic tips and tricks video Sean! Much appreciated!
Superbly helpful. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the thought, patience and TIME it must have taken you to break down what probably now comes quite intuitively to you, into so many do-able steps, with attendant explanations of the why and the strategy. I, too, would love more videos on how you edited this footage and also more videos on how to shoot close up broll of your own hands doing things.
I cannot emphasize enough how good you are in what you do.! Thank you. Keep making more vids like this 😊
💕 from Philippines
Yes! I realize how much it takes to put together a scene that tells a story! Thanks for showing us the behind the scenes work! 🙌🏾😀

Appreciate all this info Sean. Being a lifelong carpenter, adapting my business, but not wanting to hire a full on videographer, some of these have really helped. You weren't joking how long it takes to compose and frame everything, has easily doubled my time on a jobsite, but it's been a blast. Appreciate the info, please keep it coming!
