Excellent video...I just realised that the child in me is still enjoying the flanged wheels move over the steel rails and watch them switch tracks, smoooothly. I, however, just hope, that engineers do come up with derailment-proof design of both wheels and rails.. Even today, I get uneasy, if I am riding on train running at really superfast speeds....just a phobia though.

0:43 & 1:05 - never really understood how wheels seamlessly swtich tracks at a junction.. the engineering has to be precise..only about 50% of the wheel rim is on the track..yet at high speeds the shifting and changing tracks has to be precise otherwise such a big heavy train comes crashing.. at top speed how many rpm do you think its doing?
