How To Roll Kraft Paper Tubes for Fireworks
#fireworks #rocket #firecracker #papertubes #kraftpaper
This method is very useful for those who want to continue as hobby for fireworks. Thanks for the share brother.
Thank You So Much Sir For The Support
there is something about this tutorial that is so damn satisfying
Thank you so much 😄
Great video! Good craftsmanship. Tubes are expensive and shipping costs are expensive as well. Thank you for the video.
Be safe!
Thank you very much.
Thanks, just what I was looking for. 👍👍👍👍👍😊
The work is well done, and the method seems to be good. But the music, is wonderful. So good that I will have to turn this back to watch the video properly
Thank you so much bro
Nice. Use this method for my rockets
Thank You
The tube wall will be denser / tighter where your hands were pressing on the mandrel compared to where your hands werent pressing on the mandrel :)
I'm sorry but I'm having little difficulty understanding. Can you explain what are you suggesting
@@PassfireRocket
The tube will be rolled tignhter where your hands are. The longer the tube, the more difficult it is to get an even tightness unless you have really big hands :)
I test the burst strength of the end sections of my homemade tubes on the press so i know how much pressure each tube will take :)
Oh yes yes. That's why I roll them 1 inch instead of 0.75
@@PassfireRocket
I generally go 1/8" wall on 0.5" id tubes, 3/16" wall on 0.75" id tubes. If you roll a 6" long tube and a 20" long tube, the 6" tube will be stronger because you can apply constant pressure with your hands over the full length of the 6" tube as you roll it :) If you make a lot of tubes with different id`s, you should consider making a rolling machine.

Yeah, a rolling machine would be quite useful.
Thank you pyro brother ❤
What is your flash powder composition?
Is white glue wood glue?
Yes bro
Will this work for whistle fuel or just Black Powder?
It will work for both
Very nice vid 👍👍
Thank you 👍
almost died trying to pull the tube out
Cut the tube into smaller portions also let it dry before you pull. And if possible put wax.
Si quieres sufrir de una tendinitis en la muñeca por andar cortando el papel con cuter, adelante
How to make glue ????
Just buy it in the Store
Try to use another white paper,it reduces your time, less weight and heavy load capacity
Oh. okay. Thank you for the suggestion
So, similar to the Skin Man's technique (also on UA-cam): no glue in direct contact with the former.
Do you roll your own tubes or buy them?
@@PassfireRocket Mostly roll my own, but it depends. I started with Weingart's instructions, white glue, and metal formers. It's just as he says, you need lots of glue on the former to act as a lubricant -- and I *still* had some stick and have to be cut and scrubbed off. With the Skin Man technique I could use wood dowels as formers.
However, for a demanding application -- 1-lb. (3/4") rammed BP core burning rockets -- I bought the tubes offered with the tooling. And I use salvaged tubes for a lot of applications. Kyle Kepley sent me a box of 5/8" ID heavy wall millenary cores to use as guns for cakes. I get a lot of larger diameter tubes as salvage too. My first 1.75" shells I made from a shipping tube.
I started with paper bags for paper, but that was partly recycled. Eventually I bought a roll of virgin kraft.
Oh. Okay. And do you press everything (comets, spollettes, etc) or hand ram
@@PassfireRocket I hand ram everything but whistle cases of 1/2" diameter, which I press using a hand grapefruit squeezer. Sometimes I press 3/8" whistles. Smaller I press with my own weight.
That's nice. And one more thing have you worked with potassium picrate whistle?
What Glue you Use on this?.
Wood glue
Way too thick
Looks like a big mess you made.
walls to thick.
Maybe it is for rockets
Instead of wood glue, how do you feel about a “paper mache” paste made out of either dextrin or SGRS?
Definitely. You can use those. You can also use wheat paste. But wood glue is readily available.
The instructions in AFN for blender rockets use cardboard (from cereal boxes) *soaked* in wheat paste. They take longer to dry and don't make quite as hard a case, but they can be rolled directly on a wood dowel without sticking quickly to it. Probably would also work with vinyl wallpaper adhesive.
@@goodmaro Kraft paper tubes are quite easy to make and when dried gets rock hard
@@goodmaro
For the strongest tubes use 70gsm virgin kraft and a glue with a high solids content (ideally >50%). Neat PVA wood glue is usually 50% solids but its too thick to work with. Most wallpaper adhesives are around 20% solids.
Wheat paste is literally like flour and water.
Ten times cheaper than wood glue. Just an FYI.
5cups water 1 cup flour. Works like a charm.
