Hello I can highly recommend you using wood glue mixed with one third to one fourth water. Apply it thinly with a brush this will stop the paper form bulding that much (it happens when the paper absorbs too much water and then dries. The water is used to thin out the glue if u want to make it extra tight use isopropyl alcohol to make the glue thinner. Remember the thinner the layer of glue the better!
i think if you want to help with the deformation you would have to keep the roller/wood inside until it dries and take shape or somehow hang them so gravity doesnt help deform it
@@pyro_chimera the ones i made didnt deform i left the dowel inside but then again could be our paper or glue difference Or technique. I like your technique as well and learned a few things. I may try to build an rolling device at some point but gotta see if i’ll stick with this hobby long enough or not lol

@damien_zsn6252 ok i get it now, i did it because i feared that the force from lift charge would just blow through the spolette and ignite the shell while still in the tube or close to ground. I dont know if that would really happen but i dont want to try it. For smaller shells i put spollete and burst next to each other

Little recommendation, try mixing the white glue with a bit of water, it uses less glue, it is easier to spread on the paper and it works as well. 😊
i also add a rubbing alcohol so it dries quicker

You should mix this glue with water in 50:50 ratio
You're doing it kinda wrong cause if glue gets on wood, there will be no way of removing the tube
It has only happened once to me if you mix the glue with water the tubes will just end up softer in the end
