I visited Fremont today after many years away. Wow, it's different than what I remember. It's crowded and kinda dirty in some areas. The 880 freeway is littered with trash...just looked so bad. Glad I moved away.
Fremont has changed over the years and a lot of the reasons why people lived in Fremont for two or three generations is now gone. Now too many industrial parks and the open spaces gone.

Fremont, Union City and Newark all have completely different personalities... "TRIVIA": The City of Fremont completely encircles the city of Newark & encircles Union City on 3 sides! Land-wise the city of Fremont is one of the largest cities in the state of California!
Fremont has always been popular due to it's safety and great schools. Union City , is okay, but Fremont is still better and more preferred by a lot of people.
