Thanks for uploading this video, very handy… Used it to do mine today. Next job is brake discs and pads, I’ll be using your other video.
    Top chap🫡

Glad it helped...the brakes are fairly easy...just make sure you take your time and the pistons all work freely....you won't go far wrong.

Really helpful video, doing an oil change this weekend on my 2.0 TFSI , it’s an 06 car but it’s new to me... I’m guessing that once you push the release valve on. Ottoman of oil filter housing to release the contained oil the valve closes by its self once drained ??

Hi Terry... Did a little look online to try to work out the valve at the bottom of the oil filter and it seems "a special tool" surprise surprise is required ... Some people have made a tool up and it basically pushes the spring loaded valve up to release the oil from the canister... To be honest I'm OK with a little mess unscrewing the housing itself as its easy to clean.. Got an oil change to do myself soon so may film it again if people are not too bored of my doing it yet LOL...

I have lost the threads of one of the PCV Valve screws from the same car. Do you know how to get that screw to hold again?

I guess you could replace it ... or maybe fill it with resin and drill/ tap it ..

@@jordanvolson8476 well in theory ... most of the oil would drain back to the sump, you will loose what ever is in the filter but that's about it... I must say I have never tried it but I guess it's "Do-a-ble" if you are quick .. Cheers A.
