Thanks! Diy went flawlessly. Those without VCDS you can just start your car engine it charges the pump and pushes the filter out as well. Shut the engines after a few seconds.
Thank you for posting this, although I'm not sure what was achieved by running the pump from VCDS before filter removal - in other videos I've seen, the pump runs for a few seconds longer then you see the white filter cover emerge to where its full width can be grabbed by a set of pliers and popped out without all that faffing about.
I notice you mention torque specs for the Haldex filter. Were you able to get a torque wrench on the top bolt? It doesn't look like there is much clearance. Does the head of a torque wrench contact the surrounding area?
Correct its very tight in that area. I know from experience how tight to go without a torque wrench. The bolt bolt is easy, so use a torque wrench here if you can. The top tighten it tight but not overly tight. Get a feel of 6nm on the bench with a bolt and nut.
Hi, on vcds for me the pre charge pump option only comes up sometimes and not others. Should I also expect to see some oil dripping out once it’s precharged?
I took it off the new filter as the original one did not have a spring. As I bought an OE kit which is used for many different models hence why at times certain things are additional.
Hi I'm getting a wobble like effect or vibration accelerating at 2k -2.2k revs on my manual 13 reg Audi Q5, could this be related to haldex oil being low or bad quality

Yea you do not need to run VCDS i showed it in the video as some ppl will need to do so if the filter is jammed in place due to lack of servicing etc

Generally yes, there should be some oil from the filter as seen in the video.
What did you do with the spring in the filter? noticed you took it out from the new filter?

Is it the same as S3 8P facelift?
Yes it is.
@@AutoBuddynz Thank you!

Without cleaning the pump???😮...Waste of money and time without cleaning it up!
Pump is never touched at a Dealership level. As seen in this video this model has the filter. The one you are referring to does not have a filter
@@AutoBuddynz No,For The health of The sistem you must clean The pomp otherwaise the pomp Will fail and The clutches too.
@@AutoBuddynz There is a small filter screen on the pump that should be cleaned. You will have to remove the pump from the Haldex unit to clean it.
