My dad was a WW2 veteran this was sang at his funeral ❤
I’m not Scottish, I’m am English but when I hear this incredible music it truly humbles me. I am so proud to have neighbours that produces this level of inspiring music and culture.
Written by John Newton a man from Wapping, London ! An ex Slaver and at one time a Slave himself!
Belíssima música!!
Amazing Grace doesn't have anything to do with Scotland. It was written by an Englishman called John Newton.

It might be a blessing from God that “ listening to Amazing Grace” leads me to be really convinced of the existence of God in my heart 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
My dad was an Army veteran of WW2 and the Korean war, when he passed in 1983 the only song he had requested to be played at his military funeral was Amazing Grace on the pipes and drums. Still gets to me all these years later.
🫡🇺🇸 May your Father rest in eternal peace
Bless you! 🙏
I totally understand. My father was in the National Guard and then the Air Force. Amazing Grace was his favorite song.
Gone but never forgotten.
❤
This brought everyone to tears as my wifes coffin was carried into the church …god bless all of you 💔

As I listen to Amazing Grace, my heart feels like it’s being wrapped tenderly in warmth by the soothing soul living in the melody 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
I am reminded of the 18-20 year old kids who died in service to a nation and will never sit on a bar stool and have a beer with friends and laugh, or cry, or recite words that once helped them thru rough times. May they Rest in Peace.

One of a very few songs that bring me to tears when played on Bagpipes, God bless you Brothers & Sisters!
My tears rush upward and outward, my Celtic soul weeps, this soulful song of moving into the heather.
M VINCE Turner beautiful
@@porky_ribs5691 Thank you! Years ago I treated a friend to an ensemble of The Pipes and the Queen's Own. I was suppressing my tears so severely my entire body was shaking. He said, "Vincent. LET IT OUT!" I couldn't. A clergy colleague, a Lithuanian/American, said once he "didin't get it". His wife. also of Celtic ancestry reacted the same way with the Pipes. Who dares to say it does not live in our "blute and DNA"?
M VINCE Turner you our so poetic and myself am not I just find how I am not the only person who enjoys bagpipes and the beauty of landscape

Yeah totally understand you. Have lost my mum years ago and still cry every time I hear this song. My condolences to you too.
I am so sorry, you have lost your mum. I lost my lovely, super mum 5 months ago, and i am so lost, she has and was always there, through good and bad. Now she is gone and I don’t know what to do. What I wouldn’t give for just 5 minutes to have her here so i could say thank you and I LOVE YOU X
@@helenjervis7253 send that thought and feeling of love to heaven when you think of her. She'll always love you and she knew that you love her when she passed, I'm sure. She'll still be there for you.
I'm incredibly proud to be a Scotsman, whenever I hear the pipes it always moves me in a way nothing else has or ever will. Whenever I hear the pipes, pride and serenity runs through my veins I remember every soldier that has ever fallen and keep them tucked away deep inside my heart. Never forget, wherever you go in the world you can call Scotland your home, the place to find peace not just with yourself but with everyone around you. A place full of beauty, culture, history and romance. Even though we didn't invent the Bagpipes, we were the ones who made it ours. If you ever miss this beautiful country or if your just having a bad day play this song or anything with bagpipes and you'll feel at peace. Absolutely stunning version of Amazing Grace 🏴🏴🏴. Sending love, peace and happiness to every single one of you. Stay safe and be happy
God bless Scotland. I might not be from Scotland, but damn am I proud to have such brave souls in this world who I can call my brothers.
I am Full Scotsblood. I am an American that my Scottish family fought and died for when we came to a new world and fought not for our children to go hungry and to be FREE.
WERE GOING TO DO IT 1 MORE TIME AGAINST YET AGAIN THE SAME EVIL POWER.
WE ARE READY TO FIGHT FOR IT AGAIN.
WE WILL NOT LOSE.
NO SURRENDER. NO RETREAT.
They have a fight coming...
WE STAND WITH GOD.

Unglaublich erhaben, da geht die Gänsehaut rauf und runter.
Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost
But now I'm found
Was blind, but now I see
'Twas grace that taught
My heart to fear
And grace my Fears relieved
How precious did
That grace appear
The hour I first believed
Through many dangers
Toils and snares
We have already come
'Twas grace hath brought
Us safe thus far
And grace will lead us home
When we've been there
Ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun
We'll have no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we first begun
Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost
But now I'm found
Was blind, but now I see
One of my favourite hymns xx
My darling wife of 44 years passed away suddenly in March of 2021. We plan to play this exact rendition at the Gathering of Friends in the near future. I believe I will need a chair after just a few seconds of this song playing honoring her beautiful life, and her heritage.
My condolences, I'm sure she's in a better place.
Amen
Sorry for your loss

Amazing Grace always touches the heart, no matter what instrument is used to play it, however when played on the pipes, touches the soul as well.
Of my friend I can only say this. Of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most............human.

I live in Nova Scotia, New Scotland. Born a Buchanan, lived on Cape Breton Island for awhile, when you live on the island you see it in the people and the music and their love for all things Scottish. My home is here on the main land, but i have always been proud to the point of tears of my Scotland roots. The sound of the drums and the bagpipes live in my heart forever.
My ancestry goes to Scotland and looking at it feels like home. If I can ever get out of the States...
As a Military Veteran, this will be my “Last Post” when my time comes.

Amazing Grace is my favorite Christian song, and the bagpipes are perfect for this. Gives me the goosebumps, and makes me cry.
This song is at its best on the bagpipes. It brings tears to my eyes every time.

A very different version of this was played at my girlfriend’s funeral who passed away a year and a half ago at the age of 26.. But that version was no where near as beautiful as this version. This version always brings tears to my eyes. Especially when I think of my girlfriend who I loved very much
