October 2021 I was in hospital with Covid, 36 weeks pregnant with my fourth child. This song has always brought me comfort, I was listening to it when the drs told me I was very ill & they had to deliver bubs. I knew I was having a c-section but I wasn’t prepared to be having my baby alone, under general anaesthetic, I was so scared she would need me & I wouldn’t be able to see her or hold her. For the first time in my life I was truly scared I would die. As I was hurried into theatre I told all the staff my baby had a name. Grace. 2.5 years later and she sure is Amazing! I sing Amazing Grace to her every night as she falls asleep.

Para mi ellos hace 10 años casi, fueron mis salvavidas - lo que era oficial del Titanic para Rose cuando la rescatan en la película Titanic -. Pues pasé muchisisimo tiempo con una fuerte depresión a raíz de la muerte de mi abuelo. Murió de cáncer, y fue muy rápido en cuestión de 2 meses. No podía escuchar cantar, ni siquiera la melodia de un móvil pues me ponía a llorar. Ya que me recordaba a mi abuelo, que también era un gran cantante y muy buen imitador a : Camarón de la Isla, Antonio Molina (grandes figuras del flamenco). Y cuando murió, ya te digo que no podía ni escucharlos a ningún tipo de música pues me rompía el corazón tal y como lo tengo ahora mismo.... Hecho aire, ellos (Carlos, David, Urs y Sebastien) casi fueron mi nexo con mi abuelo fuera de la música, aunque no era su estilo musical. Así que necesitaba las palabras idóneas e incluso pensar que le diríais vosotros (el resto de los fans) de las mejores, espectaculares, asombrosas, nobles e increíbles ARTISTAZOS y personas. This was the first song I've heard Il'Divo perform. I 'll never forget my reaction when I heard the whole song and especially Carlos Marin voice. I held my breath while Carlos performed. I called my collegues to see the video and listen I' ll Divo and Carlos. We listened, 4 of us, in our seats with our eyes wide opened, in total silence. I could hear our hearts beating and nothing else. Not even a fly. After performance stoped, we look at each others, eyes full of shiny tears, amazed and touched.... Thank you Carlos for your existance. Thank you for the amazing character, person, singer and soul you've been. You'll always stay in my heart. This was my first song I heard from them too. I was touched by how emotional they sang, then the bagpipe played and then Carlos blew me away with his part.. The song really shows just how incomparable Carlos has been. No doubt, each of these guys is impressive in their own right, and they usually complement each other pretty well. But Marin is just on the whole different level. Not really surprising, considering how decorated he's been in the Opera world. Recorded his first album when he was just eight, then became primo baritono in some of the most famous operas ever... There's no Il Divo without him. RIP Carlos

October 2021 I was in hospital with Covid, 36 weeks pregnant with my fourth child. This song has always brought me comfort, I was listening to it when the drs told me I was very ill & they had to deliver bubs. I knew I was having a c-section but I wasn’t prepared to be having my baby alone, under general anaesthetic, I was so scared she would need me & I wouldn’t be able to see her or hold her. For the first time in my life I was truly scared I would die. As I was hurried into theatre I told all the staff my baby had a name. Grace. 2.5 years later and she sure is Amazing! I sing Amazing Grace to her every night as she falls asleep.

Para mi ellos hace 10 años casi, fueron mis salvavidas - lo que era oficial del Titanic para Rose cuando la rescatan en la película Titanic -. Pues pasé muchisisimo tiempo con una fuerte depresión a raíz de la muerte de mi abuelo. Murió de cáncer, y fue muy rápido en cuestión de 2 meses. No podía escuchar cantar, ni siquiera la melodia de un móvil pues me ponía a llorar. Ya que me recordaba a mi abuelo, que también era un gran cantante y muy buen imitador a : Camarón de la Isla, Antonio Molina (grandes figuras del flamenco). Y cuando murió, ya te digo que no podía ni escucharlos a ningún tipo de música pues me rompía el corazón tal y como lo tengo ahora mismo.... Hecho aire, ellos (Carlos, David, Urs y Sebastien) casi fueron mi nexo con mi abuelo fuera de la música, aunque no era su estilo musical. Así que necesitaba las palabras idóneas e incluso pensar que le diríais vosotros (el resto de los fans) de las mejores, espectaculares, asombrosas, nobles e increíbles ARTISTAZOS y personas. I called my collegues to see the video and listen I' ll Divo and Carlos. We listened, 4 of us, in our seats with our eyes wide opened, in total silence. I could hear our hearts beating and nothing else. Not even a fly. After performance stoped, we look at each others, eyes full of shiny tears, amazed and touched.... The hymn is a profession of the power of God’s mercy and grace to uplift and redeem the human spirit to triumph over adversity and corruption….as John Newton, who wrote the hymn in 1772, experienced it. This is a stirring rendition.

The song really shows just how incomparable Carlos has been. No doubt, each of these guys is impressive in their own right, and they usually complement each other pretty well. But Marin is just on the whole different level.
Not really surprising, considering how decorated he's been in the Opera world. Recorded his first album when he was just eight, then became primo baritono in some of the most famous operas ever... There's no Il Divo without him. RIP Carlos

yes it is a Beautiful song but so much misjudged in what the Lord had to say about Amazing Grace as he died and rose again to give it to us in his Gospels he tells us we must be born again of water and the Spirit as flesh and blood cannot enter the Kingdom of God please check the Acts of the Apostles in ch 1 where Jesus tell them to wait in Jerusalem for the promise of the Father then in ch 2 the day of Pentecost where they were all filled with the HOLY GHOST and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterances also look in Mark ch 16:15 John ch 3 this is the true meaning of Amazing Grace hope you check it out
