    Follow up..again, thank you for this video. Very helpful to mediocre "weekend" mechanics like myself. Just wanted to share my experience... 1. I found you can just jack up the car at the normal jack points just in front of the tires to just high enough to expose the top bolt/nut. The tire does not even need to be off the ground. 2. A couple long ratchet extensions and an impact wrench are almost must haves. I purchased an electric impact wrench off amazon and it changed my life. 3 . The lower bolt for me was the biggest pain. Super tight. Had to soak in blaster just to get it off with the impact wrench. 4. Be very careful reinstalling the bolts. It is easy with the shock to get tension and things cross threaded. Take your time and don't force any bolt (maybe this is common sense) .Take off top bolts 1st, then bottom, and put back in reverse order..Easier to get the topped lined up with the bottom installed than the other way around. Again thanks for this method! Worked great other than my super tight bolts!

    About to replace rear brakes. Shop said rear shocks were leaking, and this looks like it will be easier to replace than the brakes so might as well do them all while I'm there. Thanks for the content.

    Hi Sir. Just want to know your opinion on a replacement part for the rear shocks? Are TRP, monroe, KYB good relacement or should I buy the Original? My pilot is lifted 2inch at the rear. Thank you

      KYB and Monroe are good since you have it lifted. I would go OEM if you had the stock height.

    About to tackle this project. Do you have to jack up the car high enough that the wheel is off the ground or can you do it if you just jack it up high enough to expose the top bolts? Was thinking maybe if the wheel was still touching the ground it would keep things aligned? Maybe there are some other issues with that method?

    • @Jedi_Luke
      @Jedi_Luke  3 роки тому +1

      Nope just jack it up high enough to access the top bolts. You won't be unbolting the control arms so this method doesn't affect the alignment.

    Do you have a video showing how to do the front shocks?

    • @Jedi_Luke
      @Jedi_Luke  Рік тому +1

      No but those are pretty easy as well. Jack up the car, remove the wheels. 2 big bolts on the bottom and 3 on top.

    I have problem with the driver side lower bolt it’s seize in there won’t budge. What to do

    • @Jedi_Luke
      @Jedi_Luke  3 роки тому +2

      Soak it with PB blaster and let it sit for a few hours, if that doesn't work then heat the bolt up with a torch.

    About to tackle this project on Wednesday. Any reason to leave the tires on?

    • @Jedi_Luke
      @Jedi_Luke  2 роки тому +2

      @Brad T. No reason. if you jack it up high enough you won't need to remove them. Leaving them on just makes the job quicker. Thanks for watching.
