Thanks for the video! I have to say that learning by following notes is not only a western thing. Asians did and do it as well - they adapted the western notes later, but they did always (not "always" always, but you know what I mean) have a note system. Learning by improvisation is a preference - I personally prefer following instructions, but some people don't. It's not a western vs. eastern thing.
Also - the western flute looked very similar to the dizi at the start. People changed it as time went by, by adding the technical stuff so you can play more notes and to play them more efficiently.
I don't think it is necessary to throw shade on other instruments, to advertise a different one so I had to comment on that - be it western or asian flutes, they all sound great. They also all have their advantages and disadvantages.
I just got a C Dizi today!! I used tape! I love it! Learned several notes already today!

I've been looking for an actual video on Titanium Dizi flute I saw on AliExpress. But no one has made a video about it yet.
