Rachel a recommendation for you: if you are not already doing so you really need to keep a record of verbal conversations, name date and time with details, and their contact info, especially with insurance reps. My advice from working as an insurance brokers customer service rep for 26 years. Wishing you all the best.

That is awesome news!!! If you don’t mind me asking what kind of mutations does his tumor have? I’m also so interested in these types of things since my partner has a brain tumor and it’s considered “rare” but I think all tumors are rare.

Woohoo! What great news! I’m so happy for you. Insurance is a nightmare indeed. I’ve had surgery where my doctor was in network but the anesthesiologist was not and I’ve had to pay thousands. I ask how that can even happen when they have my insurance info and should be able to coordinate me with the right doctors all around but they tell me it’s luck of the draw and whoever is on duty that day. Like what?!!!! Anesthesiologists never meet with patients before hand to sort out insurance so we’re kind of screwed that way.
What?? This is insane!! I had no idea that could happen and how?
@@SimplyRachelOBare yep it sure can happen and it’s happened to me. Not one but three times. Same with my husband when he had revision hip replacements. It cost us so much money. We paid it of course but our premiums are expensive so I don’t think it’s fair or right.
It’s all about contracts. Some doctors refuse to accept the contract price from insurance so they are considered out of network.
So wild to me! Glad we got it sorted it out!

Have you looked heard of Thomas Seyfried? He is a researcher and studies (Brain cancer)Cancer. I found him when my 29 year old daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumor in October . He has a lot of good information on managing cancer. I feel for you both.

Could you tell me the name of the Arizona facility?? And exactly what Kyle's Glioblastoma is called. I have a best friend that had surgery 5 years ago. She was going to Tampa Mofitt Cancer center bc her Dr in Orlando is leaving. They knew there was new growth but were not certain as to what it was. She went over Tuesday a week ago thinking they were just going to to tell her their opinion. On Wednesday she was operator ed on and the tumor was twice the size of the original one. That is why I would love to know about the Arizona facility. Thanks so much and I am so happy about your news. What a blessing! Janet in Florida.
