Same!! I find the male side of style youtube is very lacking in this type of content. I’m not a fan of the yelling at the camera, strict rules, the constant ads and the fundamental attitude of guilting the audience and the intention of dressing better just being about attracting women. I want to learn how to dress well - for me, find my own style and how to care for my things. I like Audrey as she is calm, well informed and well spoken. She never says “you must, you cant, never do this, and you HAVE to”, she always goes in the “you could, consider trying, perhaps this & i like to” direction. The first is so aggressive and restrictive, and the last is more approachable and flexible. It doesn’t feel like shes trying to sell me something, and i love that she encourages slow fashion and intentional closet pieces.

A very informative post, Audrey. Great that you featured Crockett and Jones who really do make classic shoes and boots using top quality materials and traditional methods. I come from a Northamptonshire (England) shoe making family and am related to the Jones family. Two points I would like to add to maintain the longevity of your boots are to insert shoes trees after wear and to polish regularly. Wearing classic classy shoes/boots always always makes me feel chic, no matter how casual the outfit. You are spot on!
This is one of your best videos. I don't know where you live, but as an Italian that went to Paris last year...you really know almost everything about being truly chic. Thank you for this content. You really know what you are doing. P.s. you are a beauty!
not to flex but I have 100 years old boots in really good condition haha. Bring back those edwardian boots, their shape is just GORGEOUS. Anyway, I also think it is important to go for a timeless style, a low heel, laces and a skinny fit around the ankle is always so pretty (like yours at 5:40 !!). I always choose a lace boot because I have very narrow feet.
@@keydesignelements862 I don't know much about shoes brand tbh ,, I have some from Jonak which are good quality for the price (150€ with a leather sole) and in that style. They are made in Portugal.
Omg, yes, both Edwardian and Victorian boots are just so gorgeous! Be super happy with the boots you got! (I got combat boots from 1920, that are amazing, but unfortunately finally start to wear down after 5 years of intensive use)
Just some extra info here :). You can actually repair a glued sole by sanding it off and glueing another one on top of the old sole. Also the term full grain leather can be abussed a bit as its not a protected term. If you really wanna know if its a good leather you can look for a well known tannery or the thickness and finish of the leather. :)
I live in Australia and I love buying shoes from an Aussie brand “Wittner”. It’s been around since 1912. Their footwear is made of leather inside and outside. They are really comfortable
tigrezz 08 it lasts very long time if given proper care. To me, they are like investments. I have sensitive feet, they are the only brand of foot ware that don’t give me foot pain or blisters.
Thank you for talking about this! I hate buying shoes I love but that fall apart quickly! This is why I never buy Pleather aka "vegan leather " They always fall apart on me after 3 years. I bought my first pair of Durangos almost 6 years ago. They have been re-heeled and are still going strong after 30 hrs a week+ standing ! per month so far my cost per wear has been $2.19 . They have been well worth the money I spent on them!
Also, love the Dear Frances Park boot. It's an understated combat style and works great for me as a petite. I refer to them as my "magic boots" because they are so flattering and versatile.
Good timing, I have been binge watching Trenton and Heath! They are two shoe cobblers and they have taught me a lot about shoes and care. Really worth a watch if you want to learn more about quality shoes and their restoration!
Audrey, thank you for a very comprehensive review of boots! Every single individual who sells footwear should watch it! I also love boots and agree that it is worth to really take the time and ensure one is getting the quality and value to suit the purpose. By the way I invested in my first over the knee boots last year, the Stuart Weitzman low heel ones that you showed and I absolutely love them! In addition I have a couple of stylish all leather shoes with a leather sole, that were made in Italy from over 20 years ago that I have had re-soled a couple times and they look and feel brand new. They are so comfortable! Similarly, I do social ballroom and Latin dancing and I can tell you a good fitting leather shoe will not hurt me at all when I am dancing all night. Stay safe! 🇨🇦
Audrey, thank you! I’ve been eyeing the Thursday Captain boots forever, but the only comprehensive reviews of them that I could find were for their male version. After reading your blog, I’m sold!
I haven’t even watched and I am so excited. I have had a run of bad luck with boots, and have had more than one pair fail before their time in spite of buying what I thought were quality shoes.
I'd love for this to be a series! I've bought from thrift stores and fast fashion clearance racks my whole life and I'm only just getting into wanting to buy long-lasting, quality pieces for my wardrobe so that I don't have to keep repurchasing coats, shoes, clothing, etc. I would love to see this video idea but for different areas of clothing!
For those in Canada looking for good boots I’m setting up to order the Ladies Romeo from Canada West. They aren’t as formal, but they’ll hit all the craftsmanship markers. I haven’t found anything else this quality at this price point. They also have an insulated version.
I will take your recommendation of buying boots that are not too dressy, and not too formal, black and suits every clothing items that I own. Thanks for the tips, Audrey. 💞💞🤗🤗
Oh I’ve never been this early, how exciting. And perfect timing because I was JUST looking at knee high and ankle boots since mine are over 6 years old and ready for an upgrade.
@@AudreyCoyne thank you! I would love to see you expand on this video by hearing more about your boot collection and any styling tips/inspo you might have!! Especially the lace up boot. Ive seen the Christy Dawn modern victorian-ish/edwardian(??? Im not sure) lace up boots styled with dresses and it gives me big Anne of Green Gables vibes that I am loving. I'm 5'4 and on the curvier side so I don't know how that'll play out on my silhouette but nevertheless would love your style insight!
I was't sure if I wanted to subscribe to your channel at first, because your style is quite different from mine and I find more style inspiration from other UA-camrs perhaps. But, you have becoe one of my favourites anyways, because of the detailed advice you give on finding quality fashion, and making long-lasting sustainable purchases. Made me a lot more toughtful and observant on what to buy and what, for example, fabrics I like (spoiler alert: it's usually the natural fibers and not polyester, etc). You definitely have educated me on what to look for, and I love that! Thank you
I absolutely love ankle boots. I'm "vertically challenged" and tells have a tendency swallow me up. I think I'm going to treat myself to a pair of Crocket &Jonses in 2021.
Wow! Thank you so much for making this video. I recently moved to Michigan from Texas and have realized the importance of investing in good boots, but didn’t know where to start. This was extremely helpful. Thank you!!!
All i live is in Docs, Cowboys and platforms boots most thrifted and vintage yet look so damn good in their condition. I have a hard time wearing any other type of shoe. Leather is the way to go for forever boots.🙂🙂🙂
I love boots but I have a really hard time finding any that I can wear. I have super high arches. I’m pretty much confined to lace up boots but they have to have a wide tongue or there’s a gap. Feels like I’m hunting for the holy grail sometimes! On the other hand I have a pair of wingtip ankle boots that is, no joke, thirty years old. Quality pays for itself in longevity.
Christina Aubin I have the same problem. Most boots don’t seem to accommodate high arches, so now I never buy boots without trying them on first. Every once in a while I’ll find one that fits just right and without laces!
I wear vintage Frye harness boots. I have never bought a new pair. Buy them on eBay mostly. I lucked out finding that boot that I can wear for tens hours. Wide foot high arch. I always feel well supported and somewhat edgy.
Hi Audrey, I wanted to watch a video about boot quality from a women's perspective. And I have to say, I give you 2 big thumbs up after mentioning "goodyear welted" and recraftable boots. My personal opinion is the goodyear welt is pretty much the defining boundary between high quality and low quality footwear. Best wishes to ya!
Great subject, I wear Chelsea boots all the time, they are my favourite. The article on your blog is so well documented I will definitely check out a few of those brands ! The ones I wear are from Orban's, a french brand with a fabric in spain, probably the cheapest Goodyear welting on the market at the moment, maybe due to the genuine leather (it's still good but not great), and the fact that the shop is tiny and looks more like a storage room (wich is actually cool especially when you're poor, shy and just starting in the style/sartorial path, plus they are so nice and down to earth). I asked my cobbler to put rubber soles and metal toe taps and I'm sure that with good care they are going to last very long now ! 😊
For those who are interested in combat boots or more alternative footwear (or simply curious), here's a quick (okay, not so quick haha) observation on Dr. Martens: I was able to go to an alternative boot store in Camden about two years ago. I had bought a pair of classic Dr. Martens about two years prior to that and they were the only boots I was wearing at the time. This shop sold everything from classic combat boots, to more "hardcore" punk/skinhead/goth footwear. The gentlemen tending it were really nice, and talking to them lead me to changing my mind about Dr. Martens. Dr. Martens became really popular within more alternative communities in around the 60s and 70s, with members from bands like The Who wearing their boots on stage a lot. They were made in England and countercultures like that of the Skinheads wore them proudly for that reason. It was the ultimate "in-your-face, this is my culture!" boot of the era, and remained the staple of subversive fashion styles all throughout the 80s and 90s. However, recently - I don't recall when, exactly - the brand was sold off to a larger Chinese company. Notice how, apart from their special "Made In England" line, their boots are all made in countries with extremely cheap labor, like Vietnam or China? The men working at the shop I visited explained to me that this meant that a single pair of boots cost no more than $10 to produce (most likely at the cost of the workers' livelihoods, what's more) and yet they're sold for drastically higher prices. (I myself had purchased my pair for 175 euros!). Not only that, but the quality of the boots themselves has decreased quite a bit over the years. I was shown a vintage pair from the 90s and although the model was the same, it looked completely different. In comparison to the beautifully subtle wear of the leather on the old pair, mine looked horrible. The leather had no grain, somehow the factory smoothed it out to a near plastic appearance and feel - and I don't mean in the way dress shoes are polished - ; and instead of molding to my foot, there were simply areas where the uppermost layer of the leather "wrinkled" (which is absurd considering how leather is supposed to age). Needless to say, I left the store quite pensive. Now, mind you, I did suspect that the shop owners were trying to sell me their boots so I remained a bit skeptical. However, once I returned from my trip, I found out what I have just described to you by doing some research and was convinced by their case. I started looking at a brand called Solovair, which they had told me about. Solovair and Dr. Martens actually started off by making their boots in the same factory. Their soles are still identical, only Dr. Martens became more popular, branched off and, well, basically sold out. Meanwhile, Solovair still craft their boots in the same factories in England. I had to wait a year to buy the pair of Solovairs I had my sights set on because they weren't cheap and during that time, my Dr. Martens became worse and worse: the insoles were peeling off in the worst ways and the leather upper was cracking. Finally, I was able to order the pair I wanted. I gambled, buying a slightly different style without trying it on (I got a pair of steel toed boots), but I got lucky because they fit me well. No, not well, *perfectly*. My Docs took me about 3 months to break in - and the process was terribly painful - and these took me barely a week. A year later, they're still in perfect condition and I think I have worn them every single day, without exaggerating. In conclusion, although having been a bit pricier (not by much though, especially if you think about what it is you're paying for) these shoes will last me for years to come. Research is important :) (and if I were to recommend a single pair of boots as you did in the video, I would recommend these boots by Solovair. They're just so perfect! I'm much too enthusiastic about having found such a perfect pair of boots :D)
I have several pairs of boots by Born, obviously not as expensive or well made as the Crockett & Jones but they are some of the most comfortable I have ever worn. There are some great shops on eBay that sell shoes and boots that are returns. My last pair looked as though they have never been worn & I paid %50 of retail. Thanks for this video, it's a keeper I absolutely love boots!
Please make more such guide videos, because they are really helpful. I truly loved your previous one on jeans, and found a pair that's a no brainier for me and I feel very good in them. Thank you so much Audrey ❤️
You have the eye and you have the gift of gab as they say. Sometimes I just will listen to your voice and it brings me back around. Your thoughts of fashion or spot on at least for me. Thank you so much friend😻
I've been wearing a couple of pair of Sudinis for over 10 years and they are falling apart. I enjoyed your fall trends video because you clued me into the heavy presence of boots this year. This is the year to replace them, I think. Your videos are powerful resources.
Thanks Audrey. Also a very timely topic for me. Must be the approaching autumn; everyone is looking at warm, cozier styles. Also love your calming voice and relaxed style. Perfect in these stressful times. Thanks for posting!
You look so pretty with your hair up! Great tips btw, been looking for something like this FOREVER, these are tips you only learn with buying and wearing
Thanks Audrey. Good boots definitely stand the test of the time. Absolutely worth spending more on them without going crazy either. My Dad bought me some beautiful Russell and Bromley suede boots in 2009 and they are still going strong and even look almost as new after all these years. I recently bought some amazing leather ankle boots from Miss L Fire in a sort of Victorian style. You might like them - they're a great brand. Not cheap but totally worth it !
I have two pairs of black Vagabond ankle boots that I love. One pair is lug sole zip up with faux shearling lining and taller shaft. Another is 2.5” block heel zip up that hits below ankle bone. I am not a boot person because I like to slip in and out of footwear, not bending over or kneeling down to get shoes on and off. Also, where I live there’s no 4 season or rainy season, I wear Converse or Simple low profile sneakers all year round. However, I do love lace up wingtip brogue shoes and monk strap Oxford. They remind me the time I lived in London.
May i make a suggestion? A great place to search for leather ankle boots are at a tack shop. The sole is sturdy, they are leather but you can find faux leather. Most are lace up. You can find pull ons, and ones that zip up the front. I didnt care for the zips. Caused problems for me when I was riding. When I had my foot in the stirrup with heels down it caused the zip to slip. We call them paddock boots. They are comfy and hard wearing. Good luck!
I've learned so much watching this video. You're absolutely amazing, Audrey. I'll start saving up for a really good pair of boots to get at the end of this winter. I'm going to follow all your tips. I have so much admiration for you. Please don't think that the time you put into editing and making your videos is unnoticed. You inspire me to create more content for my own channel 💖
I loooove this, and really appreciated the recommendations in your blog! After years of buying fast fashion, it’s hard to just know where to *start* looking for higher quality pieces!
Just in time for fall! I have some boots that I've had for many years but haven't worn much. I'll have a better appreciation of them now I hope. I loved learning about leather too. Thankyou.
This was so helpful and informative, thank you! Might you do a boot guide for finding high-quality boots for snowy winters? I'm in upstate New York, so I'm trying to find boots that are high-quality, but still look classy. Thank you so much Audrey!
Hi Audrey, I love this deep-dive into boots! I finally got the Captain boots and I'm completely in love. I want to take care of them so they last forever! Much love, Jennifer
How about if stores had a digital measuring system for feet, like the box some use when selling running shoes? One that took all foot measurents, and used ultrasound to measure hard and soft parts, and with all weight on each foot? Then all shoes and boots in all models and sizes were in a nice big data base of measurements and "give" and you got a recommendation, "this shoe is most likely to fit you well, and these three come next." Some very good sales people have a talent for this, but it is rare.
I’ve never purchased second-hand because if boots conform to the wearer’s foot wouldn’t that not work out for the second owner? Do they just “re-conform”? Can’t wait to read your boot blog. Thanks!
We all walk differently so someone may have a step that rolls in or rolls out that will affect one’s spine . I I always say that footwear is what supports our whole spinal column so I need to have some thing that conforms to the way I stand and walk. All one has to do is look at the heel and one can see where it starts wearing down.
lots of second hand shoes have only been worn once or twice and then are resold at a discounted price! So they’d be practically new and you wouldn’t have to worry about them being moulded to someone else’s foot.
Nighthawks , good to know. I do give away my own footwear where I have only want it once or twice because of wrong sizing. There is one thing I have learned, unless I want to take the chance, I’m not going to buy footwear when I’m on vacation out of town , because often I am in a rush and then I don’t have the opportunity to return it to the store if there is a problem.
@@nighthawks764 I was just going to say the same thing! I got gorgeous Frye boots second hand, because she'd had them dyed but didn't like the end result. I got boots that were like brand new, I love the color, and only paid a fraction of the new price 💙
Thank you! I just found your channel and I’m obsessed! Going to buy boots day after tomorrow (I live in Amsterdam but currently in Poland) so this is super perfect timing
Could you do a video about styling boots? I actually have the 2 basic styles that you mentioned and, eventhough I love them, it's been hard for me to styled them.
If anyone is reading this, I highly recommend Red Wing boots 😊 they’re USA made and awesome quality. I have the women’s Iron Rangers but they have a few other styles as well and I’m obsessed with them!
I enjoyed your video and also referred to the blog where I read each boot profile even though I do not intend to purchase leather. As always you are just as elegant in print as you are in video. I would assume that we can apply much of the information to construction and style when buying vegan. Would you consider doing a video for vegan accessories and shoe/boot products?
I had a brown pair of ankle boots I just adored, looked great, lasted 10+ years and so comfy you forget you were wearing them... They did die last winter and I'm still trying to find something decent to buy, and cozy season is really just around the corner!
This may have changed in the intervening years, but when I sold shoes: A~narrow B~medium D~wide E, EE~extra wide I think the sizing was different for men’s shoes; that was outside my experience.
love this! I'm on the hunt for a knee-high boot with a wider toe box. The problem is that the trend for the past few years have been for pointy toes - ouch! :(
This was such a timely video for me. I'm also starting the hunt for my first high quality boot. I'm definitely settled for a Chelsea ankle boots. Thanks Audrey. And yes please create the other boot videos you suggested.
Alancy Rebello I can highly recommend the Penelope Chilvers Chelsea boots, the best purchase I ever made! I’m considering getting the fleece lined Oscar Chelseas that Audrey highlights. They are pricey but I see it as an investment and it works out cheaper than spending £100 every year or two.
That was amazing! Thank you. I want to get all my boots out and give them a good look over. I like to take them to the shoemaker for a good professional polish and heel check before the boot season swings into high gear.
To offset my missing the ease and quickness of warm weather dressing, I look forward to wearing boots, wraps/heavier scarves and felt/wool/etc. hats. 🤓♥️
Another info-packed video 👏🏽 Audrey, Im curious if you wear perfume and if you’ve found a signature scent. If yes, do you have a specific approach or tips on choosing perfume? A video on that would be so interesting, as I’m trying to come across a perfume that would just be a love at first sniff :)
Audrey could you do a video about pants lengths, we're about the same height and I can sew so I take up hems myself but I'm not sure about the correct lengths for diffent styles of pants sometimes.
Excellent content. So well researched and presented. A question please. Of the suggested boots, I don't see any side zippers, only pull on boots. Is there a reason for this? I like the ease of a zipper. Any links for zippered boots? Thanks as always for your grace and style
Excellent guide, Audrey! Love to learn some boot lingo and the name of some styles I didn't know. The tips regarding the different types of leather and durability were particularly useful as I'm looking to add boots to my wardrobe!
If you’re looking for a resoleable boot the Thursday Chelsea’s are unfortunately cemented. Meermin has a beautiful Goodyear welted Chelsea for 230 usd, which is a great price for a Goodyear welted boot. A company called John Doe Shoes also does Goodyear welted women’s Chelsea’s which come out to 156-181 usd depending on the leather you choose.

@@fitzyfitz95 Thanks for the tip! 👍I will have to take a peek at their website.
@@ThePedersenHomestead American duchess is so good !! Memery shoes is also great if you are in europe
Omg, yes, both Edwardian and Victorian boots are just so gorgeous!
Be super happy with the boots you got! (I got combat boots from 1920, that are amazing, but unfortunately finally start to wear down after 5 years of intensive use)
I'm so lucky, I live in Portugal and leathers shoes are affordable and we can buy national brands, handcrafted shoes with good quality.
Can you do a boot care video ?
Absolutely :)
Especially how to STRETCH LEATHER BOOTS🙄
Hello. Can we make friends and talk about fashion trends?
Just some extra info here :). You can actually repair a glued sole by sanding it off and glueing another one on top of the old sole. Also the term full grain leather can be abussed a bit as its not a protected term. If you really wanna know if its a good leather you can look for a well known tannery or the thickness and finish of the leather. :)
Oh amazing! Thank you for sharing!
I love your channel, and I appreciate that you are not continuously doing hauls.
Hello, can we talk about fashion trends?
Yesss Audrey is a cultural reset in fashion
I live in Australia and I love buying shoes from an Aussie brand “Wittner”. It’s been around since 1912. Their footwear is made of leather inside and outside. They are really comfortable
Catlady Lion no wonder that price tag! 🤔
tigrezz 08 it lasts very long time if given proper care.
Yes! All of my faux leather boots are ruined within 3-5 years. I’m sticking with real leather from now on.
Also, love the Dear Frances Park boot. It's an understated combat style and works great for me as a petite. I refer to them as my "magic boots" because they are so flattering and versatile.
I got them in tan and trying to pick the waterproof spray and brush to get to take care of them
Good timing, I have been binge watching Trenton and Heath!
Boots are my absolute favorite shoes, even year round! I appreciate all the thought and detail you put into this.
For those in Canada looking for good boots I’m setting up to order the Ladies Romeo from Canada West. They aren’t as formal, but they’ll hit all the craftsmanship markers.
I haven’t found anything else this quality at this price point. They also have an insulated version.
Yes!!!! I've had my pair over a decade and worn them a lot (through a re-sole already) and they have held up very well. Hi from Western Canada👋
Hello from Northern Alberta!
I will take your recommendation of buying boots that are not too dressy, and not too formal, black and suits every clothing items that I own. Thanks for the tips, Audrey. 💞💞🤗🤗
i've had my Dr Martens Chelsea boots for 4 years now and i'm super happy with those!
Oh I’ve never been this early, how exciting. And perfect timing because I was JUST looking at knee high and ankle boots since mine are over 6 years old and ready for an upgrade.
How exciting! Good luck finding your perfect pair ❤️❤️
Same here! Perfect timing as I was just thinking about how I needed boots but didn't know where to start in terms of high quality.
Love the vibes I get when i watch your channel...from the music to the editing to the outfits to your voice. Lovely
“Vertically challenged” haha nice one, gonna use that next time :-)
I have been searching for the perfect boots for the past couple months... how did you know I needed this video??? I loved it!
I wear Vionic Bethany boots and they are perfect for my high arches+ foot pain
Katie Brister I’ll check them out!
Katie Brister I’ll take a look! Thanks for the tip!
I wear vintage Frye harness boots. I have never bought a new pair. Buy them on eBay mostly. I lucked out finding that boot that I can wear for tens hours. Wide foot high arch. I always feel well supported and somewhat edgy.
You have such an endearing, charming, dorky way about you. I mean that with the most love. You are such a doll! ❤️
My life dream is to visit anywhere in Europe and get some quality boots! Love your contents all the time! Stay safe🤗
For those who are interested in combat boots or more alternative footwear (or simply curious), here's a quick (okay, not so quick haha) observation on Dr. Martens:
I was able to go to an alternative boot store in Camden about two years ago.
Perfect timing Audrey! I was just shopping for boots today 😊
Yay! 🤗
I only watch your videos as a part of my evening routine… it’s so relax 😴
You have the eye and you have the gift of gab as they say. Sometimes I just will listen to your voice and it brings me back around. Your thoughts of fashion or spot on at least for me. Thank you so much friend😻
Please make this a series Audrey, for other categories of shoes too...❤️
This is so informative and helpful!
I've been wearing a couple of pair of Sudinis for over 10 years and they are falling apart. I enjoyed your fall trends video because you clued me into the heavy presence of boots this year. This is the year to replace them, I think. Your videos are powerful resources.
Thank you, Audrey. I learned so much from this video. I appreciate how you talked about all of the boot parts and boot types. So very helpful.
Oh how I love your videos! Here with a hot cup of coffee, hope everyone’s having the same good time as I am. Happy thoughts! Thank you Audrey!
Thanks Audrey. Also a very timely topic for me. Must be the approaching autumn; everyone is looking at warm, cozier styles.
Also love your calming voice and relaxed style. Perfect in these stressful times.
Thanks for posting!
I love my Leona Dr. Martin for my combats. They are not as chunky and have a little heel to it. 💕
You look so pretty with your hair up! Great tips btw, been looking for something like this FOREVER, these are tips you only learn with buying and wearing
The lace-up boots at 5 minutes 40 seconds are perfect! Can't find anything close to that - help?!
Awesome! Now I know which boots are hyped up and which are worth it...
Am I the only one hoping to see next on Audrey's channel her full boot collection and stories behind them??
I love good boots and I cannot lie 😉
Good luck!
I was surprised there was no mention of cowboy boots. I love learning from you.
I would seriously doubt Audrey has ever even thought about cowboy boots🤣
This was a great analysis... thank you so much for breaking down the styles and quality.
I’ve been searching for a boot styling video for weeks! ❤️
Thankyou.
Great topic! Love your videos and your calm, beautiful presentation! I lived in Paris for 10 years and your images make me homesick! Much love! ❤️💕
Then all shoes and boots in all models and sizes were in a nice big data base of measurements and "give" and you got a recommendation, "this shoe is most likely to fit you well, and these three come next."
Some very good sales people have a talent for this, but it is rare.
Have you looked into shoe cobblers? I would recommend watching Trenton and Heath two shoe cobblers on UA-cam! They fully restore shoes second hand!
lots of second hand shoes have only been worn once or twice and then are resold at a discounted price!
I can’t get over how helpful this video was! Thank you 😊
This video concept is brilliant. Seriously.
That voice explaination combo is crystal clear🔷🔷
Yes! A more detailed video on each style would be amazing!!!
Informative. Stylish. Impeccable. As always!
still waiting for scarf guide to bail me out of my scarves addiction 🤣
Hahah coming soon ❤️
Me too! My mom wore scarves a lot. She died in December 2018 and I suddenly found myself in love with them. Especially silk. Enjoy ☺️
OOOoOOOOO!! I L O V E scarves so much. Looking forward to this.
I'm a scarf addict and it's weird because i live in the tropics, but i love them. My absolute favorite accessories.
Ah, scarves... So many I could open a shop.😋 And I just love them all!!
If anyone is reading this, I highly recommend Red Wing boots 😊 they’re USA made and awesome quality. I have the women’s Iron Rangers but they have a few other styles as well and I’m obsessed with them!
Thank you
I enjoyed your video and also referred to the blog where I read each boot profile even though I do not intend to purchase leather. As always you are just as elegant in print as you are in video. I would assume that we can apply much of the information to construction and style when buying vegan. Would you consider doing a video for vegan accessories and shoe/boot products?
Enjoyed this presentation, is it because the information is great or that you look and sound so good?
I really appreciate all the research you did to bring us this video. I’ll Definitely check out your blog as well. Thank you.
Follow you weekly. Great information. Could you also include a video on boot care.
I had a brown pair of ankle boots I just adored, looked great, lasted 10+ years and so comfy you forget you were wearing them... They did die last winter and I'm still trying to find something decent to buy, and cozy season is really just around the corner!
Audrey, I watched this on Wednesday, and Thursday I got a shoe catalog in the mail; your tips and information was a big help! Thanks!
This may have changed in the intervening years, but when I sold shoes:
A~narrow
B~medium
D~wide
E, EE~extra wide
I think the sizing was different for men’s shoes; that was outside my experience.
I love to wear boots and can't wait that fall starts 🍁🍁
@@SuperPuddingcat Thanks for the recommendation, I'll check it out ☺️
Very informative! Could you recommend good quality brands for knee high and over the knee boots?
That was amazing! Thank you. I want to get all my boots out and give them a good look over. I like to take them to the shoemaker for a good professional polish and heel check before the boot season swings into high gear.
I was in the middle of searching for boots to add to my collection and your video popped up. Perfect timing and so informative. Thank you!
To offset my missing the ease and quickness of warm weather dressing, I look forward to wearing boots, wraps/heavier scarves and felt/wool/etc. hats. 🤓♥️
Another info-packed video 👏🏽
Audrey, Im curious if you wear perfume and if you’ve found a signature scent. If yes, do you have a specific approach or tips on choosing perfume? A video on that would be so interesting, as I’m trying to come across a perfume that would just be a love at first sniff :)
I admire the composition of your videography
Audrey could you do a video about pants lengths, we're about the same height and I can sew so I take up hems myself but I'm not sure about the correct lengths for diffent styles of pants sometimes.
Excellent content. So well researched and presented. A question please. Of the suggested boots, I don't see any side zippers, only pull on boots. Is there a reason for this? I like the ease of a zipper. Any links for zippered boots? Thanks as always for your grace and style
Thank you! I plan on buying my first pair of boots this week.
Excellent guide, Audrey! Love to learn some boot lingo and the name of some styles I didn't know.
The tips regarding the different types of leather and durability were particularly useful as I'm looking to add boots to my wardrobe!
I’ve been eyeing the Thursday Boot co Chelsea boots 👀🧡
If you’re looking for a resoleable boot the Thursday Chelsea’s are unfortunately cemented. Meermin has a beautiful Goodyear welted Chelsea for 230 usd, which is a great price for a Goodyear welted boot. A company called John Doe Shoes also does Goodyear welted women’s Chelsea’s which come out to 156-181 usd depending on the leather you choose.
You have such a soothing voice 😌 💕
