Fantastic! I keep telling myself I don't need to get involved in another sect of the hobby... My scale love, rally passion, and this kinda influence aren't helping. Love the edit.
CompetitionX I just need yo get a sweet Mini Cooper shell and I'll run my Losi Mini Rally in the M class. Maybe I can get some rally action in the 903!
Yup! Usually quite a few more but we didn't invite alot of people to the video shoot. I needed the track for a little bit and didn't want other cars getting in the way! :)
What happened with the Tamiya track ? Just read the FB page; wow, 2018. I knew it was on the market for many years, I guess I thought that some of the property was sold (warehouse) and Tamiya kept the track going. That is to bad, I was there three times.
For Rally racing, I don't think you're going to need a lot of motor - the tire selection isn't the greatest so you're going to want to choose something that gives good control. Most guys are running 21.5T motors; easy to find, easy on power and easy to drive. I, however, am running a 17.5T because I do like the extra power. As far as brand, again I don't think it matters, but look for something that is waterproof. That will allow you to play when the weather isn't cooperating!
Still don't get why the price is so high for these at almost $300, especially in kit form. I mean yeah you are getting high quality for sure because it's Tamiya, but these things need a good bit of aftermarket upgrades to perform trouble free and fast.
On the contrary - other than an electronics upgrade (and softer tires), the car in this video is bone stock. Same plastics, gears, shocks, links... everything. Of course, I'm not really beating it up so the abuse level is quite low, but it does show that it can handle quite well without any upgrades. Of course - I DID upgrade it after this video :)

Thanks Shelton. I thought it would be fun but, you know, it's WAY more fun when you're doing it! Not helping, am I ? :)

Epic run.😎

Fantastic video! I need to ask, does the pit area was a DIY? I need gazebos like that ones!
Yes. The locals do up the pit area at every event. I think they told me you can buy the canopies with custom tops, just not sure where.
Great footage. I'm just building my first.
It's a fun car for sure! Enjoy!
Awesome video & rc my friend! Really enjoy watching especially the slowmo. Great work. Liked & subbed! Hope to see more of your work😁👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

The land was sold a few years back.
Nice rally! Is there room in the battery tray for a 3s 2200 lipo?? Thanks for any info
Should be room for upto 3s 5000mah. Some people run those in tt02 chassis and thats a bit smaller
Awesome video! The link for the Chassis kit has been moved. Do they offer the same kit or how would I come up with the same setup?
great rally video !!! i subscribe !!!
What brushless motor do you recommend?
The engine of the kit is fine?

damn it. Now i have to get a rally car.
great run , i sub
Thanks.
Wish they made a RTR version not everyone wants or has the time to build
Agreed. Sure would get alot more people into the Tamiya world if they had RTRs.

could you turn that stupid music a bit down?
LOL, Ummm, not now I can't. But you can turn your speakers down if you're not liking the music.
