    I have been doing HSPU for a couple of years now, and am in a long-term plateau at 1 to 3 reps on high parallettes, and up to 6 reps on the floor (if I haven't been eating). Seems like I never get stronger - just thinner or fatter. So thanks for the suggestions!

    I just have one question. I've been observing people who do isometric techniques such as HSPU or pull up. It has come to my attention that most of the time their one side were stronger than the other one. So I could easily see them leaning towards the stronger side when they do pull ups because they pull more with that side. I do pay attention in front of the mirror to not to have the same disequilibrium they have when I do pull ups. However it is not the case for HSPU because it is harder to control the balance. I could feel that when I try to do it, I had more force in my right arm so I push myself mostly with my right arm therefore force it too much while cannot use my left arm as efficiently as I should. So my question is: Do you have any examples/recommendations to strengthen the weak side? Maybe some some unilateral exercices with paraleds or idk?

    • @andrystrong1
      @andrystrong1  Рік тому +1

      I recommend to do all exercises symmetricaly. One arm push up- do both arm. All one arm exercises you have to do both side. Also when you do all exercises try to concentrate that both arm work symmetricaly
      I also have weak side, but i work on this
      Started do all exercises both side

    Is this true that lower back arching in freestanding hspu is mostly lack of shoulder strength i can actually do the ppt = posterior pelvic tilt there is a small amount of leg knee bending because even though i have countless of times stretched out my shoulders i still aint that much flexible. But the lower back arching on the way up is it a lack of shoulder strength or lack of ribcage core pelvic activation?
