    I'm at 8 or 9 pull ups 25 push ups and 20+ assisted full range dips. Not bad for a 54 year old who only started last year? Still got a long way to go before I can even think about starting this it seems. It's good that AS specified at the beginning the minimum strength requirements. Stops NOOBS like me injuring ourselves. 😃

      Awesome work! I'm 44 going on 45 and can do 40 push-up's, 7-8 pull up's, and 15 full rang dips with 10lbs on the weight belt. My main hurdle is increasing my pull-up capability. None the less I started the planch leans and the tuck planche holds several months ago, and can hold them for a good 15-20 seconds on a good well -rested day! Keep at it, I'm sure we'll both get there soon! I'm anticipating perhaps later this year I'll be able to do the full planche!

    • @drewetpa
      @drewetpa 6 місяців тому

      @@zod-engineering-welding I'm the other way round. I'm a climber so I can get pull ups easier than dips. The strength work is carrying over to climbing too. I'm not working on the planche TBH.
      Keep it up man. I'm sure you'll get it.

After I'm done with that I'm almost certain that I will be going for a full planche. Calisthenics just gives me energy and power.. i finally fell in love 😂

    Probably the most comprehensive guide to the planche. I saw many of them, including the very popular ones from the people with 5 mln subscribers, they are good, but only here I found this approach centered on the right technique of the training and not just the stages showed elsewhere. Andry helped me to understand the essentials: how to do the movements right and how to move the body. I don"t know if I ever will be able to unlock the planche but at least with this guide I know what I need to do to achieve it. Thank you very much for this very detailed and clear lesson. Well done!

    Good to see elite athletes sharing useful information these days. 10+ years ago people with good genetics but lack of education skill (training others) they would always just tell you do tuck, then adv. tuck, then straddle then full and you have your skill. Works when you are gifted just like them. But individuals can have smaller or bigger challenges between the progression stages and you need to get creative when overcoming them.

    I have been doing push ups for almost a year now. But i have always loved Calisthenics started with Chris Heria. But until few days before new year, I decided to try the planche i couldn't even do the correct lean but i have since been training my forearm and scapular like never before ever since. I watched this video on the correct lean and i was able to lean fully am amazed. Funny how i have been doing the wrong push up for the forearm and shoulder planche. This year is the year. I must "PLANCHE"
