      @@neometalx9 they do. You can tell those are knee sleeves and not elbow sleeves by the length and the elbow sleeve don't have the red lines going like that, which the knee sleeves do.

    There are probably no more than 5 guys in the world with the strength/confidence to bench press 585 pounds for 6 clean, unassisted reps, on an 8-foot bar, with no spotter. They don't call Eddie "The Beast" for nothing.

      Also not that out of the ordinary for someone just starting out. An 80KG squat, 100kg deadlift, 60kg bench, and 25kg curls add up to 265. Those are pretty standard lifts for those getting started out or just looking to lift a little for general health and fitness

    The control with no spotters is what impresses me the most. Even guys with half the weight or more weight don't have motions that clean and crisp. And they certainly don't work without a spotter.

      Yeah, he really was a beast back then.
      Bench press was just accessory work for him as well, as it's never done in strongman. He just thought it helped with his overhead strength.

    I recently benched 395. Its taken years. So close to 4 plates... and here we have Eddie doing SIX plates with no spotter, excellent form and control, on what looks like a heavier bar. FOR SIX REPS. WTF.
