Eddie will always be the boss in my opinion. He did this while competing in world's strongest man, Europe's strongest man, Britain's strongest man and UKs strongest man around the same years. Plus his 216 kg axle press just a year after as well as benching and squatting nothing short of insane numbers. (265kg x6 bench and 345kg x7 squat with a big pause on the last rep)
Wtf he pulled out of europes that year because of the deadlift 😂 thor broke this record after winning major comps that year and also broke the elephant bar deadlift without a suit and also won that same comp. Eddie is a chump compared to thor
@@TF-mn1wo okay sorry. But i still think he is the better athlete. He performs better in strongman (which is his weakness) than Thor does in other different lifting events which is his weakness. This for me translates into Eddie working harder than Thor and therefor gains more of my respect at least. (which of course means nothing but whatever).
@@Melkiors how the fk does eddie perform better in strongman when thor has 10 major titles and eddie only has 1 😂😂😂 plus his only win was linked to a scandal anyway

The Beast looked around for an extra few seconds, made eye contact with each section of that crowd, even after the coaches were telling him to drop it. he looked around and saw what it is to visualize what accomplishing your dreams looks like in as many faces as he could, with the fury and blood on his face, before dropping that 1/2 ton to the ground and shaking history itself. absolute legend.
That’s what made this lift iconic. Can’t get tired of seeing this lift.
The title is actually wrong. It should read : Eddie Hall pressing the planet away from a 500 kg barbell.
That's technically true, both objects attract each other, when you jump up and down you're literally moving the earth, but the amount is so so so tiny it can't be measured, but yeah Eddie did press the Earth away from a 500kg barbell.

@@thordurkarason7904 Hmm, would you mind sharing with us what you've accomplished?
When you're biggest achievement in life is lifting something up

How many pounds do you want to add?

I love how the crowd celebrated and the sportscaster made a joke when Eddie was literally one breath away from death.
Only his wife stayed silent and cried.
You can hear them grow concerned but still clap they were worried for him too.
Lol, she was crying because she could see the life insurance death benefit slipping away as he recovered from the lift.

@@20alphabet lol that’s terrible
Seeing how banged up he was after the deadlift makes you look at hafthor's lift with other eyes! Thor's was like "just another day at the office
Yes but thor didn't do 8 previous lifts and break the world record twice with 478 kg and 500 kg and hold it for that long all in 3 hours so shut up
Eddie added 35 kilos to his record in a few months, Thor took 4 years and a failed attempt to beat him by a kilo
@@cameronbishop8827 you're clueless lmao. Eddie was a guest lifter for the deadloft and did nothing else. Haftor used the exact same weight jumps as him but has strict timed rest times unlike eddie who did as he pleased
Love this sport so entertaining
If he was hydrated he could have done an over head raise
🤣😂
@Joseph exercise is rewarding, and makes you live longer
Edit: I come back to this 9 months later to say to your comment, pull your balls out your body and don't think in such sad ways
@@mr.100rupees3 this guy said the same exact thing on another comment💀
@Joseph ever consider this is his life dream? I love running and it hurts and im tired but I love it and if I just dropped running simply because it put my body through stress I would have nothing left
@Joseph maybe because it’s rewarding and helps people live longer
Damn, he almost died from that weight, truly surpassed the limits of any human beings. Legend
Assootosh Motah Thor destroyed him today
FBI theyre still both so impressive. And thor only beat him by 2 more pounds anyway :)
@@markiplex4333 he still beat him tho, and he could have pulled more.
@@bunto4854 So Eddie could
Z Zero
Eddie struggles with it, Thor did it without falling off his legs with a brain damage
