Hi Jason😀. To be honest I think we are only just starting to appreciate it ourselves! Making videos helps I think, because it's almost like seeing it with new eyes. Cheers, all of us
Thanks again Eddie😀 I’ve bumped into people from Campbeltown in different parts of the world and even if they left 50 years ago they still talk about it with great fondness. In fact I would say as soon as they start talking about the toon you can almost sort of see a big smile deep within them😀. If that makes sense. Also they all seem to have a confidence about them. I don’t know what it is but there is something about the place that prepares you for life a bit better than anywhere else. Cheers, Brian and Rhona.
We’ve just watched your video for the second time parked in our camper van opposite the memorial looking out across the bay ready to explore this lovely place 👍
Awwww great😀. I’ve just been told the weathers not too great today, but I hope it’s okay for you. The Royal Hotel at the pier does pretty good food if you were looking for somewhere. Also the Ardshiel hotel, which has a whisky bar as well. Cheers, Brian and Rhona😀
Thank you John😀 We keep meeting people who have come to do the North Coast 500, but for me Kintyre is the most scenic part of Scotland. The Laggan….many years ago someone I worked with was going to the campsite. I said he should go to the Laggan bar and ask for someone I knew (best not name names). He told me when he asked the whole bar went quiet and he thought “I’m in trouble here”. However he says he and his wife had one of the best nights ever, just dragged into the company and made welcome😀😀. Cheers, Brian and Rhona.
Loving your trips out and about it reminds me of the holidays we had in scotlland with mum and dad. Looking forward to your adventures back in europe and all the tips you share with us.
Great video, thanks for posting. I use to go to the Highlands every year, love it, but it's too far for me to drive now, may pop up on the train one year & hire a car.🤔
Hi Robert, thanks for that😀 We quite often get people asking us why we go anywhere else when we live here. You get used to where you live I guess😀. I think making videos has really helped us to see it through fresh eyes. I hope you get up here sometime😀 Cheers, Brian and Rhona.
Love your videos of Spain and now from the west coast , it’s a area we know slightly from holidays especially Oban , we really like your down to earth attitude to life and your gratitude to be where you are now , please keep making them 👍👍
Thank you Neil😊. We're genuinely happy that these videos are even watchable. We didn't realise how much it would mean to us that people would like them🙂. Cheers, Brian and Rhona.
Hi guys it was lovely watching the spain vlogs, but when you see the beauty of Scotland 🏴 it's has a beauty all of its own it's timeless. Thanks another nice one👍
Thanks Angela😊. I think timeless is right, especially these little West Coast towns. They really haven’t changed much from when we were kids. Cheers, Brian and Rhona.
Thanks Pam😊. Unbelievably it's a five and a half hour trip from Inverness to Campbeltown. I always find it odd that we could get to Newcastle faster! Cheers, Brian and Rhona
awesome references to your own lives and wording class life. we have bought a go pro! set up the UA-cam account and now im figuring out how to use it so much to learn lool
Hi Simon😊. Good on you! Yeah, we're learning all the time. I just kept plugging away at learning youtube and editing software, but there were times I had to leave it for a while as it was information overload at times. For us I think the joy now is its like seeing things through new eyes or something? Cheers, Brian and Rhona.
Subscribed and watched all your videos. Really enjoyed your Spain videos and this one. We also love Campbeltown , born and bred here. My husbands father owned the farm beside the Laggan bar. Keep doing what you’re , love the humour, great videos
Awww thanks for that Janice😊. I think you can leave Campbeltown but it never leaves you🙂. We've spent this afternoon visiting old haunts (Burnside, Royal, Ardshiel thinking about the Gluepot). You'll know what we mean😁. Cheers, Brian and Rhona.
Hi Brian and Rhona another great vlog very informative on the history of why you love that place so much and why you keep going back, what amazing scenery you can see the passion you have for the place too. Look forward to the next instalment and maybe a few boats too, sorry Rhona lol😆
Hahaha, thanks Kurt😄. Funny you should say that, because Rhonas refused to go up the pier so far and Sundays the best day for viewing fishing boats! Cheers, Brian and Rhona.
Enjoyed the reminiscing and so important too, to share it with the young ones coming on. 'Palm trees growing in the street' nice turn of phrase. You can't beat a home boy to expertly describe his lovely coastal town of Campbeltown. A must to do on my next Scottish visit for sure.. Liked and subscribed and looking forward to so much more of your really nice videos....🚐👏👏☘
Thank you so much for that JJ😊. You know I could hardly do that little bit of video on the esplanade because of random people coming to talk to me. It's just that kind of place. A strangers just a friend you haven't met yet sort of thing🙂. Cheers, Brian and Rhona.
Great insight into your Scottish history, looks absolutely amazing. Hopefully we will get to Scotland shortly and will be asking for advice. I used to get there on business but nothing further north than Peterhead where HQ was located. Andy & Bev
Hi Andy and Bev, thanks for that😊. We always think the area they used to call Argyll is the most interesting part, but we may be biased🙂. Cheers, Brian and Rhona.
Thanks Alan😊. In September on a motorbike I would suggest staying in Northern Spain (at least North of Madrid). We went on the bike one September and it really was too hot down South with bike gear. Maybe you could stand the heat better than we could. But Northern Spain has the Picos de Europa mountain range which is a bit of a bikers paradise and Potes is a great base. Santander itself is a great city with good Tapas. We stayed in the hotel Bahia, which has secure underground parking. Can't go wrong anywhere up there really. Cheers, Brian and Rhona.
The Scottish Highlands is for me the most beautiful place on earth. I'd absolutely love to live somewhere up there.

Brilliant thanks for your great explanation about the place and your love of family and place 💕
Thanks again Eddie😀

Thanks George😊. That's a good idea. All the time we lived here we never went to Arran. Seems mad now.

Thanks Brian, we should all be doing more of this to show off this special place. The Laggan Bar was indeed some place.
Thank you John😀
