I am a self taught mechanic of over 30 years in the field. Helping people save money and stay safe on the road is what I am here for. If I can pass that along in my videos, that would make me feel even more accomplished. I am rather old school and do not really do things by the book, for this reason, I do not claim to make "Instructional" videos. My videos are for entertainment purposes only. Please use safety and knowledge when doing your own repairs. ~ Ben - MegaMiles

LoL! I been doing it that way for years and years, doesnt bother me. If you hit in the right spot you wont even feel it.
I do that so I can feel when the wrench or socket is slipping and stripping the nut or bolt. You cant feel that with a hammer.

Nice work! Does changing these out require an alignment after? What suspension parts being replaced would you say you should get an alignment after?

Definitely get an alignment with tie rods since they are directly related.
I recommend an alignment with pretty much any suspension work except sway bar links. All it takes is for a millimeter difference in a part to throw the alignment off.
