I mean, she basically is dressed up, quite literally, like a classical goth. As in, she looks like the type of character who’d live in an indigenous traditional European Gothic arch cathedral, but have it all dark and gloomy with white face paint
I love how this movie encapsulated the creativity, nonconformity and self-expression that comprised the punk scene that was emerging in the late 60's/early 70's. Like this song was considered one of the first real 'punk' songs when it was released by The Stooges in 1969
The Music, the effect of surprise, the assumed style, the atmosphere and the frustation of the opposing camp. It's crazy how addicting and satisfying this scene is at the same time.
I literally screamed...."OMG!: at this scene. The few people in the audience (because of covid) turned around and looked at me. I literally about died. This is the most fabulous soundtrack in years, to arguably one of the best movies in years. Total surprise!
i did to lol, my friend yelled: “why is Artie so F*caking hot?!” Keep in mind, we were sitting next to two children. I don’t know who let the children in, but I loved the scene so much and I wish that the same color ones so much longer
This was the most badass Disney film ever. Emma Stone was so perfect as Cruella. She added so much depth to the character. Her presence is so powerful and mysterious.
This movie was seriously the best! All the costumes were top shelf and choosing the punk rock movement in the 70s was a perfect choice. I swear in this scene it’s like the movie was saying “I hope you liked the fashion show, the revenge and origin story story, and now for no extra charge we’ll throw in a rock concert”
I like how when the baroness says she killed my dogs and made a coat it gives me that vibe that cruella over the years was doing that even though she was but still
@@matt13r1 which is funny cuz the after credit scene is the intro to 101 dalmatians, with Roger signing Cruella DeVille at his piano, and Anita and Roger both getting pongo and perdita gifted/delivered to them by Cruella. Awesome final scene. But idk how it's a reference if it's still canonically yet to happen 🤔
Doubt it will be like we know it. Cruella loves dogs. And who knows we may get a time jump into the 1990s were the House of De Vil is up against an animal cruelty based fashion rival. @@matt13r1
IMHO, i feel like this should have been the last scene for the Cruella movie, after she says she made her dogs a coat, and remove the rest of the film, while it was good, I feel like ending it after this concert and her outfit reveal, it was have really shown Cruella and just who she is. (yes the dogs woulda died probably and while I don't like that idea, it really represents Cruella and her nature in the original animation. despite that though, I loved everything about this movie, its honestly an underrated gem. Emma stone really proving she is a force to be reckoned with.
I know, but im saying that leaving this scene as the last scene in the film and one of the last lines being" she killed me dogs, and made a coat" would have been really suspenseful and a good lead up to a sequel.
In a way it was the final scene, for one part of the story. The show is what her team had been building toward the whole time, a big 🖕to the Baroness. After that we have the classic “everything goes wrong, team reconciles, one last job” beats most movies have. But I get what you mean, this was iconic.
