it's not really different towards non-Asian people with their non-Asian classic dishes, tbh. everyone has their own preference of pie for Thanksgiving, their own savory crepe, the mushiness of aloo gobi, or the chicken broth with rice, waiting on their home or maybe even still opened restaurant/food joint.

Honestly whoever is in charge of finding people for test kitchen videos, especially in cases like Priya who are more guests (vs direct BA employees) needs to get all the bonuses. How they manage to find such fun, interesting and charismatic people so consistently is beyond me. I love everyone in these videos and always come away with an abundance of knowledge.
I'll admit, I shied away from BA in the beginning because I though it would probably be pretentious and over the top, yet everyone and everything on this channel is amazing. A far more grounded, down to earth and enjoyable experience especially compared to Tasty and the like. Seeing the outtakes and especially keeping in things like Carla once throwing away a part of a recipe she messed up. Continuously reinforcing that mistakes in the kitchen are ok and happen to even professionals, and that things don't need to be 100% picture perfect is so refreshing and reassuring.
TL;DR All of you behind and in the BA Test kitchen are amazing and lovely people. I'm so glad to be able to have the experience this channel provides.,
