Unbelievable how after all these years I still get shivers down my spine and goosebumps listening to these tunes touches my soul well played R. I. P sir love from scotland
This is fucking awesome. Nostalgia hit hard. Reminds me of my old man. I remember when I was a pup he had Braveheart on a double VHS pack and it was one of his favorite movies, so it became and still is one of mine.
Eric was going to play at my wedding and then he called me one day a few weeks before and said he was busy working on the movie Titanic and would be just too busy to commit. Seemed like a really nice guy!
What beautiful music it has always been my favourite and I just love the bagpipes I'm a great friend of all the rochester pipe band uk they say regular at the charles dickens festival every christmas and also in june every year.ive known them now for 30 years.as I have been doing miss havesham for 30 years so i love the bagpipes. I’m sure the friends and family of your friend were so pleased to have you attend and play at this funeral. We had a (Scottish) Piper at my Dad’s funeral (he would have haunted us if we didn’t 😅) and he played so well. It was so fitting. I adore the Uilleann pipes. So poignant, and you are such a maestro with them. Lovely.
What are you fantasising about here? The Union Pipes (later renamed "Uilleann pipes") were never "outlawed" and nor was the music played on them. These pipes developed from earlier Pastoral Pipes by makers in England, Scotland and Ireland and were at no stage banned or outlawed. The crimes of the British Empire in it's colonies (I'm referring to Ireland being the colony) were many and cruel, you don't have to go around making stuff up.
@@clintonreiler2627 What "feeling of what was behind the comment" did I "misinterpret"? The Great Highland Bagpipes and its music were not banned either. There were no "Outlawed tunes on out lawed pipes" ... and that particular myth is about a civil war that happened around 340 years later.
Wow. I don't know this family, or the person who passed on, but I'm sure this was a beautiful moment for all people involved. I wish he would've been able to see this while he lived, but this is still a moment to treasure. Thank you for being so kind as to share it with all of us. RIP Cris.
Every time I have an excuse to shed a good tear, I come back to listen to this music. It gets me every time. My family is related to the real Sir William Wallace. To hear something that beautiful played in depiction of my family touches my heart in more ways than one.
@@rfinn9898I traced my ancestry back to that time. My mother’s side is Scottish-Irish, and it was a surprise to find out. But hey, all our families have an interesting story to tell.

If you ever want to know why the Irish generally don’t wear kilts, ask a piper-they have to sit. THAT is part of why they were outlawed in the first place - for the front row. I kid - he plays so beautifully.

Outlawed tune on outlawed pipes กับ scene อำลาถิ่นฐาน ....
