Hey there, thanks for making this video. A good piping friend of mine has discovered this on her UA-cam channel, and I stumbled across hers first and then she linked to yours, anyway I am using these notes now, although they do not come out all of the time when I do them, but when they do, They are in tune and work as they should. What a great idea though I absolutely love it.
GHB have plenty of history and tunes/songs for weddings, funerals etc. Sadly the commonly requested Braveheart song isn't playable for GHB pipers. Originally piped on our pipes, the uilleann pipes, by Eric Rigler. I am more than happy to pipe as an uilleann piper for weddings, funerals etc for Braveheart songs. Many songs are sacrilegious on UP that originated on GHB. Eric also done Titanic, and Outlander.
That’s legit why I learned the bagpipes and then realized years later I learned the wrong ones!! Lolll still have the desire to learn the Irish pips though and play that braveheart theme
on the other hand, I can see why the Royal Regiment of Scotland isn't doing this all the time . . . . (Falling down gasping is not a good look . . . .)
Digging your thumbnail into the A-hole to pinch one out? There’s a lot more going on here than meets the eye! Truthfully tho, I woulda joined the HP camp had I known you could do that! Instead on the UP side.

"i just have to dig the corner of my thumbnail into the A hole"
That's hot

Thanks mate. Pushing those boundaries.
i must now stop myself from pulling out my pipes right now to try this… i don’t think my neighbors would be very happy if i did
did you ever give it a go?
@@wetootwaag not yet… tbh i haven’t pulled my pipes out all week 😅 (i have practiced on my practice chanter every day though!)

Oh wow, that's tragic and hilarious
woah, that’s fucking cool. opens up a lot of possibilities
You may have just saved me. I've been asked to play with an orchestra ( I'll be using my Bb chanter or should I get G1's new B chanter?)
So many people out there saying it can't be done and here you are playing it.
Awesome
Is that the Cameron tartan on your bagpipes?
What if there was an Octave Key?
Ooh 👀 that's very interesting!
Holy crap ❤
👌💯
Uillean bag pipes are needed 👍
Uilleańn*
Why did you 🛑 stop ✋ That was amazing
Bravoooooo

Nope, some good tutorial stuff on here though
Outlawed songs on outlawed pipes.
Appreciated
Sometimes you have to stop talking and do the playing ❤❤❤
Are you a lefty??
Naw, just mirror image issues

hahaha, yeah.
It was definitely more common when Pipe Bands didn't exist and Pipes were a Solo Instrument.

News fuckin flash- brave heart is not a fact based film.
Not atypical from a Scotsman xx
