      LOL, that is so funny... Every time I watch a video I learn something new. Some of her videos I have watched a few times just to see something again. I do not have any of these craft stores close to me so I have to make a shopping list and then the closets store is Hobby Lobby, which is my favorite. One time I spent close to 900 dollars at one time. That was the best day ever it felt like Christmas to me for sure. Have about three pages of stuff to get this time to.

    These tiles are wonderful. Reminds me of the 60s and early 70s. Can't wait to see what you decide how you'll use the tiles and what the final product looks like. I loved the tile box that was red and black with music buttons. Now we have the hippie 60s. Love it!

      I went to Etsy and tried to order one of your art work; It was not possible for me. Do you ship overseas as I really would like to see it in real life. Please send me the link to the proper place. I am in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. I can order stuff from USA on line before. Thank you.

Making tiles are still on my to do list but I think it just got pushed towards the top of the list. These tiles would also make some cool jewelry. Thank you!!!

    I have been avoiding playing with the clay because it's been so hot and my clay gets so soft. I've really missed it, but I have gotten some quilts done. I will be going back as soon as it cools off a little. Love looking at what you do.

    I have baked sticky clay with plastic buttons in and they came out fine. I just popped them out after they cooled and then glued them back in. Don't know if it will work with all plastic. Thanks for the new tiles (at least new to me).

    When impressioning sticky clay, it would be a lot less sticky if you dust it with cornstarch.

      Lorna Norris hi Lorna. I made a fairy door and it’s been out side for 2 or 3 years. It definitely looks worn but it’s hanging in there. Your piece will take a beating for sure. But if you want to do it do it. Have fun. Tfw. Sara

      @@myserenitycrafts Do you think she should have to seal it with something to protect it from the weather? With your fairy door did you seal that with anything as well. Thank you for all you show us I have learned so much for you. I just wish I could keep my tiles straighter. Do you have any tips on how to keep my tiles straighter when i pick them up and put them on the baking tile.

    Are you wiping it off with a dry paper towel or a baby wipe? I tried this and my tiles turned out terrible. The colors did not stay as bright as yours, maybe my paint was too thick. Yours are just perfect. I was very disappointed with mine.

    • @myserenitycrafts
      @myserenitycrafts  8 років тому +1

      praynow1 pretty sue it was a baby wipe. I'm no a huge fan of antiquing and I do t always love the results. Make sure you use watered down paint too. Then it won't be so dark. Tfw. Sara

    Just started making tiles and it's soooo much fun!!! I'm going to make a plaque for my mom and I was wondering what kind of glue do you use?? and do I need to put something on the wood before I glue the tiles on besides the paint?

    • @myserenitycrafts
      @myserenitycrafts  7 років тому +1

      Kim Brenner awesome. I use weld bond glue. It's a white glue that I got at dick black on line. I'm pretty sure i mix a sealer into the paint to seal the wood but I don't varnish the areas that i glue to but I do varnish the rest of the piece. Hope that helps and mom loves her gift. Tfw, Sara

    • @myserenitycrafts

      I've only been crafting with clay for 4 years and in that time mine has been fine. I usually make tiles or cover things in clay and so far it's held up.

    • @sherrilynnhill
      @sherrilynnhill 5 років тому

      I am sorry to hear about you getting motion sickness so easily. What you could try to help with that is watch from a computer screen and move far away so you are not so close to the screen so you do not notice the screen moving so much. She really does show us a great deal of stuff. I hope this tip helps you with being able to watch longer. Also, see if you could take some Dramamine which is OTC it helps with motion sickness my little girl takes it before we go for a drive she gets car sick.
