I love the way the colours and designs on these tiles tie in together without being identical. The tips you give as you work are very helpful and the tips in the comments section really add an extra dimension to your tutorials. I only found you yesterday and I've learned so much - you are a great teacher!
+Linda Friend Hi Linda. I love to share what I have learned along the way. Glad you like it. I do lots of different crafts and jump around a bit. TFW, Sara
Hj, Sandra from Birmingham UK. I am new to all this and am so glad I came across you on you tube. I love all the things you do, especially all the clay projects. I am waiting on a giant order from amazon then I can start trying the ideas. I have to say Sarah you are great to listen to and a great teacher. Thanks and take care x
Absolutely gorgeous! I feel so inspired. Wish I had time to get my clay out right now! Can't wait to get started when my kids go to bed:) Thanks for sharing. Love, love, love it!
I am really loving your tutorials!! Thanks for sharing all this, I have just gotten into clay with a friend of mine, and this is so wonderful to see how to do these things, thanks for the inspiration! hugs, Kim xx
these are beautiful!!! I think if you used liquid polymer on the back of the swirlyques that go across the glass beads it will stick to them........... Just a thought! But I love these tiles and I think they would make awesome pendants!
Hello new subbie here, I was inspired by Gabrielle as well. I did an ATC swap with Colorxplosion by Rosa and I create an ATC out of clay. I do love your creations. I feel you have taken it to the next level. I will continue to follow you. Diana
create557 Hi Diana, Thanks for subbing me. I don't stick with one thing for very long and long learning new things. I will try anything once as just love to create. TFW, Sara
Love your tiles. Just wanted to suggest that you make a little knob out of clay, bake it and glue it on your wood pieces for a handle. What dept did you find them in?
Your pieces are so pretty and those little wooden pieces of the 2 flowers and a dragonfly look great for texturing clay. Where exactly did you find them?
hello.. 1) i live in a very hot and humid country..is it ok to keep the polymer clay in the refrigerator and take it out a couple of hours before i will use them? 2) this idea of mixed media..and the polymer tiles...do you take clay that its left over or do you plan what you are going to do? im kind of lost. i dont understan how the polymer tile thing..and the mixed art..can you help me?
For the ATCs, could you just use any color for the background before applying the mica powders? Also, which brand of polymer clay do you recommend for the ATCs?
myserenitycrafts Sara, what glaze do you use for products you make that have mica powders like jewelry? Cause I've heard many different things and I keep researching before buying. I just want to know that facts, because I've heard that if you don't glaze your items even after baking the polymer clay with the mica powders on...If it is jewelry, it will eventually fade or rub off!!
@@cdelosre2006 Yes, the mica powders will rub off. Sculpey makes glazes, in gloss and satin finishes, that can be used. Or, water based varathane can be used, or newer ultraviolet cured resins.
I don't know if I missed this in one of your videos, but do you use a single layer of clay your tiles? It seems that when I use one layer, the piece gets really thin from pressing down on it with the stamp. Please let me know if there's a vid that explains this. Thanks!
I enjoyed your tutorial and I liked the part where you decide not to get the acrylic roller (LOL) sometimes I feel the urge to get things for my polymer clay and then realize that i don't really need it :) Many thanks,
Hello. I use premo or Sculpy. The baking directions are on the packaging. I use a convection oven and I need to get a thermostat for in the oven to see the true temp. I don't remember the color of the clay, I think I was a mix but I knew I was gonna cover it with the mica powders. TFW, sara
Please note mica will not stay with out sealing. It will ware after time. Also please let everyone know when using mica powders it is best to use a mask. Perfect pearls do not need sealing on raw clay but does need to be wet with water on baked. paint should not be apply to raw clay. You could also use liquid sculpy to adhere to class> Please also note that metal will not stay on baked clay. You would need to remove it after baking and use super glue, do not use the glue before, hope this helps. Great design ideas.
janet west Hi Janet, Wow, Great information. I am by no means an expert. I hope to learn more about clay this year. I have signed up to Polymer Clay Adventure, a year long series of on line classes. TFW, Sara
Great I am glad to share. There are many books at the library which could help. You inspired me to try the tiles, I am new to mixed media , have a long background in polymer clay. I am glad that you were receptive to my comments. There is much to know about safety. . Look forward to more of your work.

I am so glad Linda, thank you very much. Sara
I'm liking what I'm seeing and I'll have to try it.
i get better results with i spray matte finish vs glazing. they both work well in different ways. i really liked your tiles!
ClaydelaDre DFranklin I may try that because I get bubbles sometimes when I glaze. The spay will seal the mica powders down too. Thanks, Sara
i'm glad that you did the tutorial!!!!

Shirley Ping I think you are right. I think I actually used regular white glue. They are really fun to make. TFW, Sara

Your pieces are so pretty and those little wooden pieces of the 2 flowers and a dragonfly look great for texturing clay. Where exactly did you find them?
drobberbaron Hi, I am pretty sure they were from Michael's a while ago. TFW, Sara

You have inspired me to make a tile mosaic with my clay. What side are the tiles you are making?
Oh good. I just make a variety of all different sizes. Some big but don't forget to make tiny ones to fill in all the spaces. TFW, sara
For the ATCs, could you just use any color for the background before applying the mica powders? Also, which brand of polymer clay do you recommend for the ATCs?
Chris D. Well Primo and sculpy are both good. You should use any color you want and the mica powders just add glimmer. TFw, Sara

putting the color on first will make difficult to put the swirls on. and clear nail polish works great just use a softer brush
thanks for sharing
You are very talented! Love your work. I just subbed you :)
Thank you so much. Sara

Terry Imbach Hi, I usually use the pasta machine set at a thick setting and never had a problem. Maybe don't press to hard too.
TFW, Sara
avant de passer la poudre, tu met les mosaique au four?
What brand/color of clay did you use for these? They are gorgeous!!!!
Sophia Street Studio I always use sculpy III or Primo and I don't remember exactly what color. Sorry TFW, Sara
Hi Sara, can you please tell me where you bought the metal tools that you use? Thank you very much.
Marieville55 The Stainless metal tools are from the Christy Friesen website. She designed them I think. TFW, Sara
I enjoyed your tutorial and I liked the part where you decide not to get the acrylic roller (LOL) sometimes I feel the urge to get things for my polymer clay and then realize that i don't really need it :) Many thanks,
Chiraz Ben Fekih Glad you liked it, Sara
Ok thank you... It's so pretty :)
awesome...thanks
What color clay are you using? Thanks.
Hello. I am pretty sure I was using a mix of some scrap clay I had. I think it was some bronze and maybe blk? Sorry. TFW, sara
What type of clay do you use and when it is time to bake, for how long and at what temperature? Thanks very much.
Hello. I use premo or Sculpy. The baking directions are on the packaging. I use a convection oven and I need to get a thermostat for in the oven to see the true temp. I don't remember the color of the clay, I think I was a mix but I knew I was gonna cover it with the mica powders. TFW, sara
it gives me inspiration
I am glad
What are you using as color?
Hi Elizabeth, It's perfect pearls, TFW, Sara
you're too funny, looks fairly easy too.
Please note mica will not stay with out sealing. It will ware after time. Also please let everyone know when using mica powders it is best to use a mask.
