Although I do agree with you that Legends Z will be in the past my guess is you will play as an architect from the future.
I don’t necessarily agree with this meaning next gen is pushed back to 2026, not unless legends is next holiday game.
Also in the city could be the city’s boundaries which normally go a bit further than the walls.
As for the futuristic bit that’s a blueprint in the current timeline which probably has something to do with main character story

I love the logo for this new game, really hoping that it's a BIG adventure despite taking place in the one city. Legends Arceus was so good, so I'm keen to see what they do with Z-A!
GameFreak always releases a Final Pokemon Game before the Next Gen System everyone knows this! From B2 and W2 in the DS and US/UM on the 3DS Pokemon Legends Z-A is a Final Switch Title. Either way I am excited!

I'm sort of surprised that everyone's expecting this game to be like GTA whenever it's at the topic of taking place entirely in one city is brought up.
Personally, my expectations for this Legends game would be akin to the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series where it's a much smaller world but highly interactive.

@@AndresRestart another ideal you could do is the possibility of Pokken 2 ever happening especially with Mega evolution being a part of that game and that we'll possibly get new Megas thanks to Legends ZA.
I just hope this game will let us explore all of old kalos and not just lumiose city

Hiii, so i'm an history fan, specially related to clothing. the clothes of the characters are 💯 modern in this trailer. Its absolutely not in the style of anything before the 1980s.
The dresses do not have the right shapes for most decades, and people are not wearing hats which was a must, outside, pre 1970s. The silhouettes of the 1970 are also very characteristic. And tbh it would fit the 1980s either , but mayyybe with a stretch. If its in the past, they do not follow at all the actual looks of people in the past, which would be surprising, as the inspiration of Meiji-era Hokkaido is very clear in the Arceus game 😅.
I'm not interested in Pokemon Lore and theories are lazy but I never played the most Nintendo Game's and Pokemon Game's ever being boring LoL But unfortunately who knows

That people believe this is set in the past is simply unbelievable, don't people have eyes? You people are going to look very silly when the next trailers come out, but this discussion and speculation is fun, so I have to thank you guys.
But this game is certainly set at least in modern times, even in the supposedly old sketch there is a woman wearing modern clothing, I don't know if you iPad kids don't know it, but people still use pen and paper guys. This is most likely set after XY, just because it says "beautfiul coexisting" doesn't mean that they fear Pokemon like in Arceus, that doesn't make any sense Kalos was far ahead of Hisui when it comes to Pokémon training even 3000 years ago, where they already trained Pokémon for wars, and in Hisui, only about 150 years ago, there were no trainers, the Hisui people only fear Pokémon, but Pokémon trianing culture was already well established in other places, and that's why the Galactic Expidition teams are outsiders.
It's more likely that they want to fully integrate Pokémon in the city, so going from what Lumiose was in XY where the only Pokémon where those with trainers, to something more like we see in Rhyme City. From the trailers, it looks like the Plaza of Lumiose were reworked to possibly be more like parks where wild Pokemon could live, like Pokemon biomes. There is even a reference to that in XY, where an NPC in a Plaza said "I can hear wild Pokémon".
Remember we had to go out in the wild and come back to the village to build up LA.

When they simultaneously, is it possible that they mean there are two games? Legends Z and legends A?
No Pokemon Legends Z-A is one version.
When they say "simultaneously" they're actually referencing the fact that X & Y were the first games in the franchise to release at the same time worldwide. They said the exact same "Releasing simultaneously worldwide" bit back in 2013. There is no deeper meaning than that. No two versions, not a Switch/Switch 2 multi-platform release.
I’m gonna be pissed if I’m charged $60 and this game ends up being a pile of hot dog shit like scarlet and violet are…. Billion dollar franchise producing garbage is unacceptable.
