A could relate to the Latin word Arbor, which means tree. This could be relating to the legends of Yggdrasil, which is a common theme of the Kalos legendaries. Yveltal represents the eagle at the top of the tree that flaps his wings and destroys branches on the world tree, Zygarde represents Nidhoggr, the dragon/snake (varries by myth but most often a dragon) that knows on the roots of Yggdrasil, and Xerneas, representing the four stags that eat at the branches. The A could be a Pokémon representing either Ratatoskr, the squirrel that runs up and down the tree carrying the insults of the eagle and Nidhoggr, or one that represents the tree itself.

I think thats gonna be super refreshing and fun Canr wait to see how they incorperate wild pokemon within the city. Are we defending lumpise from wild pokemon?@Itsaidioticgamer We already had tons of region adventure games. They are finally doing smth new let's embrace it
After ten years following x and y's we are gonna get another legends spin-off happening by next year. Man I can't wait for that very day to arrive soon.
The reference to actual historical events in the world of Pokémon is interesting since with Arceus we had something very reminiscent of the colonization of Hokkaidocon and with Z-A we could have something similar to the great urban redevelopment of Paris, which occurred around the same time. Eager to see a Legends Unova where we also participate in a historical event that occurred also around that time, without a doubt the "Black and White" title would have another meaning then....
the "black and white" title probably always had two meanings from back then when it was announced. one obviously being the black dragon zekrom and the white dragon reshiram and the other being the black and white skin toned people since Unnova is based on metropolitan NYC, an American region. We just noticed the other skin-tone meaning recently with the Legends series.
I agree. I’m really hoping it can be more animal crossing with the building. I think we got a sneak peak with how giving Pokémon to npcs in legends arceus worked and how resources would be given to npcs. Pokémon hasn’t been super challenging recently, diamond and pearl were somewhat at the end. I replay black and white 2 since i think the leveling system there was better to bring a challenge. I wish a setting to change that was added
A game that literally let's you be in charge and design would be revolutionary. Its always just a few choices in games so you can't be really creative. Definitely can't wait to see what this game turns out to be. Also does this mean we get to design our own clothes as well ?
the first video i've watched back then was your x y playthrough, i dont have 3ds that time and watching that makes me feel like im playing too. and now we back on kalos im gonna play this legends Z-A whenever you'll stream it.
I'm so hyped that we are getting mega evolution again. It felt like forever ago when we last saw it in a pokemon game. I hope they bring back the catching mechanic from legends arceus.
I'm so hyped for Pokemon Z-A! I'm excited to play with Mega Venasaur again, and any potential new ones! *Please* give us a Mega Delphox and Chesnaught! 🙏
We also have systems in past Pokemon games like seasons and weather that could make it easy to fill a single city with a whole Pokedex worth of Pokemon just not necessarily all available at once. The Pokedex could also not be a huge focus unlike Arceus and be more like XD or Colleseum where there is some gimmick to catchable Pokemon.
I can’t wait to see the new regional forms and mega evolutions! Ik Arcanine just got a regional form but a fire fairy or ground mega would be awesome. But regardless, I just got hope they can execute a cohesive art style unlike SV and arceus. There’s potential for the games to be visually appealing.
The first Legends game was amazing, really confident that its sequel will be great too! I am so happy to know that we’re going back to Kalos, I know which starter that I am going for!🐸🔵

Ready to see that ghost girl from X/Y that said something like "you're not the one I was waiting for" or some crap like that since it's in the same city.
I think its going to be in the past with Lumiose acting like Jubilife in Arceus where its the only main city but you will have other places around Kalos just not as big
1. 5:08, I rlly hope that the game doesn’t take a past and future approach. I want it to be purely set in the past just like arceus was. 2. I RLLY hope that by what they mean by “set entirely in lumios” is that the main STORY is based around lumios as well as lumios is our main base camp like in arceus we had a main base. Imo, it would bring the game down if we couldn’t leave the town to go explore the region. Like am I the only one confused at how we’re gonna even catch pokemon if the whole thing is in a city? Idk. We’ll have to wait till gameplay footage. Other than that, I’m hyped asf for pokemon z.
same i hate the idea of it being in the future and i hate the idea of time travel even more. fingers crossed it’s in the past and it has that nice vintage, parisian feel
@@balen9261 Luckily I saw some other peoples breakdowns, and there’s no future, the blue lines were just 3d blueprints. So that fixed that problem. But now we’re back to if it really is ONLY in the city.
This is starting to have a pattern; Pokemon scrapped the original Arceus event and created Legend Arceus, then they scrapped Pokemon Z and now they're releasing Legends Z-A. But what other things that Pokemon has discarded in the past could be recycled into a Legends games? Legends Pink? BTW. Ekopeons Petrnsm? Peketoprneosmns? Epekotrpensonms?
Maybe when they say it takes place entirely in Lumiose, they just mean the main part of the game. Maybe there will be a postgame or DLC or hidden sidequest that takes us outside of the city. Because there was too much left undone in Kalos to leave things the way they did. (I'm also interested to see how we catch Pokémon, because I can't imagine them just spawning in the city.) I still can't shake the feeling that (rather being shunted through time by PokéJesus), this will be a more purposeful time travel, like someone trying to replicate the work of Professor Sada/Turo. And, if that's the case, we might be able to jump through time, going back and forth between past and future, and maybe we could go see the Pokémon War, too (I still have hope, guys). OR, (and this is more likely) we might get a save-file-sensing event in Scarlet and Violet in that big empty space on the northern part of the map... You know, the one that is right about where Spain (Paldea) connects to France (KALOS?!)? Then maybe could find out about the loose ends outside of Lumiose. Also, Lumiose has some trains, too. Trains were pretty early technology, so perhaps those trains could lead somewhere.
Moxie2D has a great theory for how AZ and the weapon connects to terrastilization in Paldea and possibly a connection to Galar too. He talks a bit about it in his nuzlocke video from like a year ago and then went through it again in his reaction stream yesterday. I think he's on point with it all.
"Real-time battling where you directly control the Pokemon in-battle" sounds like *Pokken Tournament* to me. lol Also, maybe they will have *DLC* for this game that will eventually allow you to explore *outside* Lumiose City?
If it is about building or rebuilding, Lumios city to be more pokemon friendly maybe the whole game won't just be in the city. Maybe you need to venture away from the city to gather materials. You might need to study pokemon in different habbitats to see what might attract different pokemon to the city. Maybe you need to catch some pokemon and bring them to the city to see if they like the accomidations and might consider staying. This game can go in so many directions, I am really curious when we will get more info.
@@megaferalioth8595 it’s not a game at all it’s an idea for the “GOAT” Pokémon game. The game functions as normal you know go here go there talk to this npc do a side quest boom battle……. When it’s time to battle it should be like poken tournament where you (I) play as the Pokémon and dodge attacks launch our own attacks etc like that shit would be fire and I’m shocked gamefreak hasn’t thought of this yet but maybe poken tournament was just a test run of how battle maniacs would work in a game like that
Might be a coincidence but I've noticed that remakes normally happen double there original generation. Eg. (Gen 2 remade in Gen 4), (Gen 3 remade in Gen 6) and (Gen 4 remade in Gen 8).
January 2025 is exactly 3 years after Legends Arceus, besides Legends doesn't have strict completion dates unlike the generation games so they will announce Legends games when they are done rather than selecting a completion date several years ago for the generation main series games and have to stick to that date no matter what because of all the other factors that are connected to the main series like TCG, the anime, marketing, merchandise, etc.
I never had a chance to play XY since I didnt have a DS in the first place. But after watching the trailer, I tried checking for any information I can find about the XY, Zygarde, and the Kalos lore. So I came up with my own prediction (also basing on the PLA). So I'm thinking of PLZ-A occured after the ultimate weapon was fired. Then chaos obviously takes over to most of the land, and probably destroy most part of Lumiose. That could mean Human-Pokemon became disharmonious. This disharmony lead to 2 factions, 1 is looking for Xerneas to restore the world in abundance, and the other looking for Yveltal to just destroy everything entirely to start from scratch (much like the dispute between Diamond Clan/Pearl Clan in PLA). So a company (like Galaxy corp from PLA), tried to build the Lumiose City as a metropolis that welcomes both human and pokemon to build the harmony once again (much like Jubilife village). The player then is tasked by this company, or AZ himself, to catch pokemon and help redevelop the city so that it can become a place for both human and pokemon with the aim of calling Zygarde, the Order pokemon. After this human-pokemon cooperation, harmony returned to the world and Zygarde appeared (much like Arceus from PLA) since this pokemon already felt the peace and order from human-pokemon relationship. With the arrival of Zygarde, the 2 factions wont be able to use either Xerneas or Yveltal and tried to cooperate with each other instead. The pokemon that the player catches will complete the pokedex as well as work with humans to help redevelop the city. Since the city is too large, it is only necessary to have a lot of required pokemon (unlike in Jubilife were you only need a couple of them: garden, guard, and construction, if I remember correctly). This means the Lumiose is just another version of Jubilife in this new Legends game. It doesn't mean that there is no place outside of the city. Just sharing.
am I restarted or is there not any "past version" of lumiouse in the trailer and the drawings are just the blueprint papers for the development plan of the future one? like I'm pretty sure the game is just going to be set in the future in the new giant lumiouse the building is just in classic french style because they want it to still look like Paris
1:40 A Wavelength is the distance between two crests (Highest points on a wave, made on xy plane) or two doughs (Lowest points on a 2D wave). It's the distance of an entire unit wave, Idk how to explain this better without bringing out a blackboard lol
I’d take the Nintendo tweet with a grain of salt until we get gameplay footage, it’s totally possible that there was just a miscommunication with whoever runs the Nintendo of America account, I think they’ll need some sort of wild area even if it is as lackluster as legends arceas because I don’t think they’ll be able to fit the whole regional dex without one. Also I don’t think the hologram lumiose means it’ll be in the future necessarily, it’s easy to try and pick apart everything when we have nothing to work with, and it’s totally possible they could use hoopa to do some time travel stuff, but if the games come out and there’s no time travel I think retrospect it will be obvious simple visual spice for the trailer
Man like so many others i am so happy megas ate back. I hope Pokemon who need it get them. Flygon is an obvious pick. But i hope Pokemon like slaking regigigas and archeops get it. (Idc if they nerf the stats give them justice damn it)
I think the concern with the city stems from the fact that it be hard to imaginen how catching wind pokemon would work not to mention a single city isn’t as diverse as exploring a full region the only way I see this working if they’re area’s in the city like Wild area but as parks or the city itself isn’t built yet and your exploring the area that’s going to be urbanized
i just really hope it has the same art style as PLA, i know everyone was hating on the art style but its honestly the best looking one so far in my opinion.
i'm just sad considering the way the last Legends game, went, I myself and many others being blind or Visually Impaired will not be able to play this game.
Idk if this. Is just me but scarlet and violet are past and future so what if gen 9 is past and future so time travel make sense in legends Z-A and scarlet and violet since both of them are kinda similar because they may have time travel but this is just a theory
The character designs should better be like XY with the same custom options mixed in. People are fine with "Do you want to play as a boy or a girl?" like from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX. The other features need to come back too. The National PokéDex, Exp. Share setting, overworld Ability effects, farming, Loto-ID, remtaches, and others should be featured.
I’m thinking we can switch back and forth between past and future, where changes we make in the past level up and unlock new things both in the past and future
That Kalos door = GameFreak round out of time and had to ship the game so they scrapped the idea altogether, but it was probably meant to be some kind of difficult post game dungeon.
If there is time travel, and there are those five blank circles around the city, and the whole game is set solely within the city, and the game is about "rebuilding the city and make it more pokemon friendly", there has to be SOME way to catch all the Pokemon in the game, and its kinda... weird to expect that the whole dex is just walking around in a single city. So what I could imagine is that you can chose certain designs for these circles in the past, and each design represents a different habitat in which different Pokemon will appear in the future / present when building these habitats is finally done. And if you want to get new spawns on the map you have to travel back in time and change the chosen habitats again. Other than those five circles the city seems to be flooded with buildings at least, so I couldnt see any other place on this map to catch wild pokemon other than these circles.

Canr wait to see how they incorperate wild pokemon within the city. Are we defending lumpise from wild pokemon?@Itsaidioticgamer
We already had tons of region adventure games. They are finally doing smth new let's embrace it
After ten years following x and y's we are gonna get another legends spin-off happening by next year. Man I can't wait for that very day to arrive soon.
I just hope there’s gym battles and trainers to fight
I bet it will show us the war
“The different sections we can explore” reminds me of the movie Divergent with the different classes or somthing
I really hope everything you went over in this video happens i love the idea of building your own gym kinda thing.
Unknown were in Legends Arceus too...
Great analysis crazy to think how many details they packed into such a small trailer, fingers crossed for a past and future city
I'm really excited to see what kind of tcg art comes out of this, too.
I'm so hyped for Pokemon Z-A! I'm excited to play with Mega Venasaur again, and any potential new ones! *Please* give us a Mega Delphox and Chesnaught! 🙏
No Greninja?
It has battle bond @@billiezeiszler608
Unown were also in a lot of Pokémon directs back in like 2019, I thought back then they were hinting at Johto
Talk about being early and I love your trailer breakdown videos
I can’t wait to see the new regional forms and mega evolutions! Ik Arcanine just got a regional form but a fire fairy or ground mega would be awesome. But regardless, I just got hope they can execute a cohesive art style unlike SV and arceus. There’s potential for the games to be visually appealing.
The first Legends game was amazing, really confident that its sequel will be great too! I am so happy to know that we’re going back to Kalos, I know which starter that I am going for!🐸🔵
I am kinda torn apart between chespin and frokie..
POKEMON Z IS REAL!!!!!! We're Pokemon GOing back to Kalos and it's gonna be mega epic! Legends Z-A is so going to make Kalos great again! LET'S POKEMON GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
FINALLY, it's been sooooo long since Mega evolution
ayo i aint watched u since u did a pokemon black and white playthrough and enderman first minecraft release video, ur my childhood and a blast from the past from when i was like 7 and I'm 20 nearly 21 now, gotdamn, still a 7 yr old proclaiming his age at heart 😩😍😍
Ready to see that ghost girl from X/Y that said something like "you're not the one I was waiting for" or some crap like that since it's in the same city.
Always good to hear your voice!!
(I'm also interested to see how we catch Pokémon, because I can't imagine them just spawning in the city.)
I still can't shake the feeling that (rather being shunted through time by PokéJesus), this will be a more purposeful time travel, like someone trying to replicate the work of Professor Sada/Turo.
"Real-time battling where you directly control the Pokemon in-battle" sounds like *Pokken Tournament* to me. lol
Also, maybe they will have *DLC* for this game that will eventually allow you to explore *outside* Lumiose City?
Kalos and Johto they can make multiple different Legends games for them with varying timelines.
I'm gonna be waiting a long time for a new comfort game.
Y’all forget that TPC does a second presents every August so it’s not out of the question to getting a game this year
Old king? Like the king in paldea?
If it is about building or rebuilding, Lumios city to be more pokemon friendly maybe the whole game won't just be in the city.
Maybe you need to venture away from the city to gather materials. You might need to study pokemon in different habbitats to see what might attract different pokemon to the city. Maybe you need to catch some pokemon and bring them to the city to see if they like the accomidations and might consider staying.
This game can go in so many directions, I am really curious when we will get more info.
There’s definitely the possibility that we get some wild areas of Kalos to explore with some potential DLC for Legends Z-A
7:30 literally mentions the idea for a Pokémon game I’ve had for years
Do you know what game it is ?
I also noticed they happened AFTER the original. wooooow what a catch!!!!!
This was recommended to me and I already learned something I didn't know people were saying the A looked like Lambda.
Wouldn't be crazy if you actually play as AZ? Probably not, but I'm sure he will be prominent in some way in the game. He had such a great backstory.
Also I don’t think the hologram lumiose means it’ll be in the future necessarily, it’s easy to try and pick apart everything when we have nothing to work with, and it’s totally possible they could use hoopa to do some time travel stuff, but if the games come out and there’s no time travel I think retrospect it will be obvious simple visual spice for the trailer
i dont think they would skip gen 5 i think they got something planned for later
Man like so many others i am so happy megas ate back. I hope Pokemon who need it get them.
Flygon is an obvious pick. But i hope Pokemon like slaking regigigas and archeops get it. (Idc if they nerf the stats give them justice damn it)
It's been 3000 years!!! 😢
If its really all within the city I would expect those five circles to be exactly those "wild areas" you are thinking about.
@@pallao3500 my thoughts exactly
i just really hope it has the same art style as PLA, i know everyone was hating on the art style but its honestly the best looking one so far in my opinion.
I hope we get a Clement ancestor
i'm just sad considering the way the last Legends game, went, I myself and many others being blind or Visually Impaired will not be able to play this game.
X and Y introduced a new type. Wavelength are in sound waves. This is a stretch but maybe sound type after 10 years??
Praise Ganjarceus for tha ZaZa
Thanks for the update my man👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾✌🏾
Hopefully we get to know more about the Lumiose City ghost girl. I want to know what happened to her.
I’m thinking we can switch back and forth between past and future, where changes we make in the past level up and unlock new things both in the past and future
if everything revolves around "beauty", I wouldn't be surprised if this time we cooperated with team Flare
If we get new megas, that makes wonder as to how they'll connect these being present in legends but not in X&Y.
That Kalos door = GameFreak round out of time and had to ship the game so they scrapped the idea altogether, but it was probably meant to be some kind of difficult post game dungeon.
This is just my own opinion but what if the wave link thing you mentioned earlier in the video has to do with mega evolution?
Will probably release in january like the last legends game
City is actually really cool, smaller but bigger at the same time
If there is time travel, and there are those five blank circles around the city, and the whole game is set solely within the city, and the game is about "rebuilding the city and make it more pokemon friendly", there has to be SOME way to catch all the Pokemon in the game, and its kinda... weird to expect that the whole dex is just walking around in a single city.
I have a feeling we have to build and upgrade the city.
My question would be. Where would you encounter wild Pokemon?
MEGA EVOLUTIONS ARE BACK BABY LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOO
Next video idea? Explore lumiose in XY. To try and find any hints/lores. Maybe like the train station or the ghost lady?
Im ready for mega xerneas and yveltal!!
And now we wait for a year
I'm just hoping they bring back gen 6/7's BIGGEST gimmick: demos 😁
It’s smart. Paris Olympics coming up. Easy collaborations, exposure, etc.
I'm gonna wait to see more, don't know how I feel about it being entirely set in a city
