Really don't think Nintendo's 2024 needs "saving" at all. They're doing great.
Tons of great games this year like Another Code, Princess Peach Showtime, and just a couple weeks ago Paper Mario Thousand Year Door.
Besides, as soon as they finally reveal the new system [let's be honest, it'll happen before October ends] the hype will shoot through the moon.
Nintendo is in an excellent position.

Since there’s probably not gonna be a main line Mario game this year I think it would be fitting to make DLC for super Mario. Bros wonder a lot of people were speculating it would get dlc so it makes sense.
How Nintendo's June Direct Can Save Their 2024................Or disappoint their own community if we still don't have anything for a Star Fox new game or a remaster, Metroid Prime 4, F-Zero new game or a GX remaster and a Kid Icarus new game or a Uprising remaster and more disappoint their community if it's another cash grab games of Mario, Pokemon, Fire Emblem and Kirby being announced because it's not like if we have a lack of Mario, Pokemon, Fire Emblem and Kirby on the Switch since 7 years unlike Metroid, Star Fox, F-Zero and Kid Icarus huh?
Hello Andres Restart to me they should really do a remaster collection of the Mario Party handheld games like Mario Party DS because some of the minigames in this game could easily be remade for the switch.

Nintendo doesn’t need saving and yes the current lineup isn’t what you guys wanted but I’m fine with the lineup, Nintendo is allowed to have a quiet year, I said worry about enjoying the games or that backlog they’ve built up. I think Nintendo expected their decline, especially now they announced the Switch successor and they don’t have a game that’s on a Zelda level but so what? At least Nintendo’s been releasing games this year and that’s all that matters to me and I’ve enjoyed a lot of the releases like Mario vs Donkey Kong and Another Code Recollection and I even enjoyed Endless Ocean Luminous which doesn’t deserve the negativity it’s received,I welcome remakes and remasters as a way to break up the same old “hyper realistic games and live service games that nobody wants.
If they release a new 2d zelda and a special edition switch I would bet it'd be a special edition switch lite, a lot of Zelda fans got the totk oled and most of them wouldn't double dip only a year later, but a switch lite? They'll consider it at 200 dollars
Hi andres we need a video discussing the all the leaks supporting twilight princess for switch as i have a few like the midori leak and lego set and wolf link amibo earlier this year which could mean that it was planned for a main feb direct then changed to partner showcase after the switch 2 delay by ph brasil and also the twilight princess manga later releasing this year i think this is this year it at least i hope so

Honestly, with the Switch 2 on the horizon, I didn't really have any major expectations for Nintendo this year. I'm just chipping away at my backlog and enjoying little surprises like TTYD remake. I'll be happy with basically anything they do at this point. The only way I'll be disappointed in them would be if the Switch 2 launches with nothing major. I'm expecting big things for the birth of a new system!
Wild idea, but what if the new 3D Mario is a cross-gen title. It could help reach their sales goals.
I mean, we have seen switch put out some amazing cell shaded graphics. Switch 2 could boost it to 4K or 60fps and add RTX etc

2024 was originally meant to be the release year for Switch 2, that’s why it’s so lacklustre. To be fair it’s hard to top 2023 with its new 3d zelda and 2d mario. Remakes and nostalgia alone won’t sell 13+ million Switch, at this point only a price drop will.
It’s all speculation that the Switch 2 was meant to come out this year, that’s right I’m calling all these news outlets a bunch of liars as it was started by someone who isn’t as reliable as a leaker, the year has been lacklustre for you and all the other butthurt gullible people who thought Switch 2 was gonna come out this year, I believe Nintendo never intended to release Switch 2 this year and they made it clear numerous times that Switch 1 would be their focus until March 2025, so it’s your own fault for believing the stupid leakers in the first place setting yourself up for disappointment.

I know the Nintendo Direct is gonna be big bigger biggest. I know legend of Zelda games. Sonic games. And others for Nintendo switch.
But the remakes of F-Zero GX and AX. Star Fox Assault. And Kirby Air Ride coming to Nintendo switch. The 2nd remake is Super Mario 3D Land. Donkey Kong Country Returns. And Kid Icarus Uprising. Comes to Nintendo switch as well.
I know I'll be seeing New 2D Yoshi Island Game With 8 World Levels.
2D Wario Land Game with playable Waluigi with 8 world levels. 2D Super Princess Daisy Game. New Luigi's Mansion 4. Mario Kart X Ultimate. New Super Smash Bros 6 game. And I know I still wanna see the Nintendo switch 2 console with colors. Like Green. Yellow. Dark-Blue. Red. White. Pink. Black. And Light-Blue.

They can save this year by finally giving us those Metroid Prime 4 and Fire Emblem 4 remakes!! You said in the video how MP4 doesn't make as much sense as cross gen because this year metroid alone wouldn't sell 13.5 million switches, but you're forgetting mario party (which you even brought up but for some reason I guess that doesn't count as a big seller?).
2021 had Dread, mario party superstars, pokemon remake and wario ware.
The title of this video is giving me mixed signals and I don't know if I'm getting the correct message. On one hand, one could assume that it implies that based on what Nintendo has already revealed back during Q4 of 2023 and early 2024 that's all they had planned for the year. On the other hand, this could literally be Nintendo being Nintendo where they likely got some surprises up their sleeves.
I just find it weird that there has been this sense of "semi-pessimism" (Idk if that's the best term to use) if you will in recent months where just because Nintendo sales numbers don't look quite right or it seems as if there's not any interesting games on the horizon it's all "doom and gloom". The way I see it is that this has happened many times in the past when it comes to Nintendo as well as other video game companies, but mostly Nintendo. Of course, we're going to have these periods of stagnation and whatnot, that's how the business works. xD
could nintendo announce a low cost, slimmed down version of the switch at the direct? it would certainly give their 2024 sales a boost.
I feelnlike Nintendo kids base their guesses off of what they feel should do better. A Link Between Worlds sold ~4.6 mil and Links Awakening Switch ~6.6mil. Whereas Luigis Mansion 2 sold ~6.5 mil and 3 ~13 mil. Even as a remaster, its clear that LM2HD would be the actual system seller over a 2D Zelda, new or not.
Dark Moon did well as a new game in the thick of the 3DS lifespan. A remaster with divisive reception vs the first new 2D Zelda since 2013? Let’s also add that Zelda as a franchise has grown substantially since.
@@AndresRestart A Link Between Worlds is easily one of the best games in the franchise, and while it sold well by any other normal metric, Luigi's Mansion 2 still flew past that. BoTW absolutely boosted the franchise to a success not seen before, but the same can be said for Luigi's Mansion 3 still which went well beyond any expectations.
And discourse online for remakes, ports, and remasters means very little next to sales numbers. SMRPG already flew past the SNES in sales, not as impressive, but is easily poised to be their best selling Mario RPG of all time. TTYD is trending above Origami King in Japan, so while it's hard to say where it ends up, it could end up the highest selling Paper Mario, putting it right behind RPG as the highest selling Mario RPG.
I'm not saying a new 2D Zelda won't sell well still, but there is no real evidence besides "but it's Zelda" to suggest it would be any bigger of a deal than Luigi's Mansion 2
While its true that lots of people are downplaying LM2's potential, you're probably overselling it.
Remakes, ports and remasters don't selling like new releases. Even when they're existing HUGE games, they don't sell like new releases. They don't sell as much at launch, but can make that up over time. NSMBUDX is one of Nintendo's Top 10 games for the platform, but it didn't launch like Wonder did, in fact, its launch numbers were very muted for a Mario game. The remaster of Luigi's Mansion 1 sold nothing like the new release of Luigi's Mansion 2... Don't expect 6 million from LM2HD.

If the Nintendo Direct isn't happening next week, then my prediction for the next Nintendo Direct to happen is on Wednesday Juneteenth (June 19th) since it's a federal holiday and most of the United States is free on that day

I think Nintendo has a philosophy problem. The drip feed, high price nature will hurt them in the long run. First party games shouldn't be permanently launch price. If they were putting out more first party top down 2d Zelda games every 3 years. Like link between worlds. They would keep the classic Zelda fan base satisfied.

@@AndresRestart Lottery was globally banned in 2033 after money itself was erased from the world. People finally realized that humans weren't going anywhere as long as money was around, it just trapped them in a loop and had them waste their lives.
Luigis mansion 2 will sell more than paper mario. It already sold twice as much as most paper mario games do on the 3ds. The franchise is now more popular than back then. The hate for that game is a vocal minority, watch it sell 5+million.

A brand new mainline Zelda game (2D or 3D) is absolutely not a realistic expectation for this Direct. A remastered Link to the Past, for example, could make sense, but even that is probably a stretch.
