- Today we add a realistic Cargo Airport to our city using the Airports DLC! We plan the road layout to minimise traffic issues and provide direct access to the highway, add in a small highly detailed industrial area including scrap yard, van rental centre and more! We also add in a unique factory and a bunch of warehouses, using mostly vanilla assets compliemented with workshop props for a more realistic look!
Welcome to Auridon! This is a 'lightly’ modded Cities Skylines gameplay series, although I do use a ton of mods the series will use mostly Vanilla (+DLC) building assets with only a handful of extras from the workshop. The focus of this build is on making a detailed city, with functional mass transit, including all DLC and content creator packs. 2022 ready! The series is based on game play mixed in with detailing timelapse's.

I've taken massive inspiration for this build, and to start my channel, from the Cities: Skylines greats such as Biffa, Imperatur and City Planner Plays (among many many others I would add!!) but above all from the amazing OverchargedEgg and in particular his Palaven series which has heavily inspired this city. The billboard trick was SUPER clever. Of course this build was awesome but the billboard trick was such a tiny little detail that I thought was hilarious and super smart. Great job, as always!
How is it possible that industrial areas and literal piles of TRASH look SO GOOD? It's that Few Candy magic, that's how!!! This cargo airport and surrounding area is just SMASHING!!! Definitely will watch again (and again) to get all the little details so I can maybe incorporate some into my city once I build a cargo airport. I know you say industrial is your favorite, but I have to say that, once again, you totally crushed it! Really love how you "dirtied up" the cargo area.... the vegetation is perfect! and that gravel pit and junkyard!!!
What can one say that has not been said yet about how you approach City building in CS? Another awesome-looking, super-detailed, realistic, well-functioning build and that's something to say about a cargo airport 😁. All the trash detailing fits in well too, I don't think it would be any more tidied up in real life either. Can't wait to see which of the cool ideas from chat is coming up first 😎.

Auridon Fun Fact of the Day: The Royal Auridon and Pinesilvania General Clothing Factory was founded in 1914 to produce warm leather jackets for pilots. Pilots of all Commonwealth Air Forces wore these jackets in two different world wars. But they became real iconic fashion peaces in the late 1920s when Auridon adventurers Barbara and Jonathan L'œuf were the first married pilot couple to cross the atlantic. The photo of their landing in Paris in May 1928 went round the world and was published in every major newspaper of the days.
Today the company is mostly known under the abbreviation 'The RAP', which became an iconic branding in the 1950s, and the jackets are sold in more then 30 countries worldwide. But the history of the company and it's crucial role in the safety of Air Force officers and serviceman in two world wars is mostly forgotten.
I've seen photos of my grandpa wearing one of those iconic RAP jackets, but never knew it's history. Thanks for the info! 😅

You are hands down the most creative CS creator that isn't using PO. The backs of billboards as doors for god's sake. Mind blown. And i do what you do with the roundabout and the rock detailing so why do mine always look like a blind person has thrown a few rocks and trees on a mound and yours look like they're a picture of a real place? It's not fair i tell you! 🤣

Having a cargo rail connection from the airport to the port might be a good idea, not so cargo can go from planes to boats, but any cargo going to the downtown doesn't really have a good route. Maybe instead of connecting to the port, a cargo station near the downtown would be a good idea.

Someone really needs to tell the CS programmers that only one plane can use a runway at a time. I can see three planes taking off at the same time on a single runway in the background while you're working on your airport! Nice airport, though.

I'd love to see you RCE & Biffa do a collab. Like the top gear trio, you could be set challenges, or given (the same) 'broken' cities to fix, or projects to build, and we get to see 3 different creators solve the same problem in their 3 different ways.
Alternatively you could take turns setting evil challenges for eachother.
Bottom line is, those of us that known all 3 of you, will love seeing the crossover, and for those that only know one or another of the channels get introduced to new creators. Good content for us, new subscribers for you.
The only downside I can foresee, is you & biff taking the challenges seriously, whilst RCE just puts knobs on everything, but is that really a downside?

Another great build 🤩 I’d love to see some stats of the city, like land value, education coverage etc, I don’t think we’ve looked at them for a little while (I could be wrong). The cinematics were great, but I couldn’t stop chuckling at the plane and trucks stuck going back and forth 😆

Sorry I couldn't be part of the premiere today...had to work early this morning...here's a suggestion for the name of the cargo airport: derwent cargo transport center 😀 since the name is one of the brand of colored pencils I use and they're made in England 🇬🇧 😉

So this is going to be a LONG comment.... lol
Just over a week ago I discovered your channel after a comment on one of Biffa's videos. I am a huge CS fan, but sadly only have it on console, so can't do anything close to what I've seen you, Biffa and others do, but I grew up with SimCity, Command n Conquer, Age Of Empires and so much more, so when I discovered CS, I fell in love with it. Anyways, back to you Few Candy. So over the last week, I've sat and watched ALL of this series, been waiting to get to your most recent before I commented.
Wow.
You have a real knack for this and your attention to detail is amazing! I'm literally blown away with the level of detail and character in literally everything you do. Truly amazing and I've so enjoyed watching everything, I can't wait to be able to be involved in a livestream at some point!
Now, I do have a few suggestions I wana throw down lol
1. At London City Airport there is a 'shell' of a plane, so no wings, tail, just the body, and its used as an anti terrorism training centre, I would love to see something like that at the airport!
2. I got your a UK lass, well then I'm sure you have seen thr odd car park being 'taken over' by a traveller group... with the amount of car parks you have I'm sure you can lose one to travellers somewhere lol
3. Seeing as you love junk and trash, how about a Banger Racing track?...
4. And what about a small 'heritage' train line? Completely separate from the normal lines, a stand alone short section with 2 or 3 stops and get a steam train from the workshop? The UK has serval of these kind of lines that are maintained by volunteers
I think that's it for now lol I saw and thought of loads of stuff but obviously I've been playing catch up to get to where you are now lol
Honestly keep up the good work it looks amazing and again good work!

How can you delete on of those cargo building? Is there any button needed? Because i only can delete for the streets but none any building that if you said using 'ALT' to buldoze..
How do you get your mods in that neat menu at the top i got the menu but only 3 or 4 of my mods in it
That's the Unified UI mod, there are options in many of the big mods to add them to the Unified UI. You need to go into the options on each mod and select that!

Most containers you have positioned in such a way that normal forktrucks or reach stackers can not pick them up. Doesn't look realistic
