You can have the roads go underneath the taxiways. ANDDD you could have cross runways (keep in mind i have no experience in aircraft stuff) I usually see them at large airports. it just uses up empty space and can allow more people to go to the city. I also suggest making a land mark or more to entice more people to come to the city.
I'm chuckling because I'm only halfway through the video and I might be jumping the gun but at this point from above your airport is looking a lot like a Rathtar from Star Wars - just needs teeth 😄

You would have some grass around and at each end of the runways so if a plane had to do a emergency landing or did a runway overrun. They would have something to ''slow down the friction'' on.
i need this airport to plop down in CS2 as a mod lol this is amazing!
Nice Airport, I miiss Fire Brigade, Police Station and a Hospital Also cool would be Postal Office or a Transport Company Hub. An Expressbus between the Train Main Station and the Airport would be good. And nearby I miss the Food Companys and cheap Motels ;-) Grettings Joe

Is the Canalville series done?
I'm not sure. I wasn't getting the best reception out of the episodes and they tend to take a lot longer to make than my other series and it's rough juggling three cities. We may be back though.

I looked at quite a few different concept designs for airports on Pinterest. I didnt use any one singular design as inspiration though.
Why don't the canals flood when they are broken by taxi ways ?

Am I the only one that gets triggered by not only the angles being off, but like the general lack of cohesion of this build. Also like there is nothing that matches when it should. And why is there like five ATC towers 😂 two ok I can get but five? Everything is uneven, taxiways are terrible, and it seems like if this was being planned for “months” a little more effort would have been applied to the design🤷🏿♂️
The approach and in built road could have been on a pentagon. So the angles and layout would have been more inspiring.

Yeah, it was really bothering me as well. A part of me wanted to redo the episode again but I wanted to get an episode out. I think we may redo some of it in a later episode.
The roads are my fault. I should have redone them but the taxiways are the best I could get it. Real life taxiways near terminals are all concrete and not symmetrical so I decided to roll with it. I think we may redo some of this though in a later episode. Thanks for the input!
I'm no expert in bulding airports but when I watch people make airports with airport DLC not a single one has runway with proper size - 300 units is bare minimum for 747 to land. 400 units are still short but look decent enough. Game is not realistic but we have tools to make it look decent. Your runway paths cross like kilometer after plane take off and thats a nono - with this setup planes would only use one runway and second would be only used when wind/weather would be bad to land on the first one - want to use both u need to spread them and make one go other way. Terminal placement is very cool but plane stands are cramped too much with a risk of wing collisions. A lot of terminal space for roughly 30planes, thats like 60 gates so very much medium size airport. One taxiway going around the terminal is not enough - builders treat one way taxi ways as roads for cars. planes arent cars, they dont like 90degree turns. With taxi way placement you would have trafic jams with planes trying to get to the runways. Try treating your planes stands as drivethru restaurants - goal is to go in and out asap so make secondary taxi ways. ATC tower - one per runway is ok - ATC guide planes on taxis so place them so ppl working there can see them ;] I can provide a screenshot with my own design so everyone can critisise on that. Other things that You may look is what is close to the airport - those skyscrepers on final approach need to go - same as elevated highway so where planes take off they dont blow cars of the highway. There is a weather station/radar in disasters dlc - also works nice with airports.
