Kyle, I loved your uncut portion where you are kneeling next to your bike in the desert. Pure comedy but just real. I like many other really appreciate your doing this work and making these videos. So very helpful. Please keep up the great work.
Another great Motoz Monday episode! Very informative! Have me thinking about the Desert H/T, but I really like the Rallz on my T-700. Did a Death Valley riding trip in 2016, and stayed at the Panamint Springs Resort. Great riding there.
I just want you to know that in the intro, I always do the “UGH!” Of when you pop the airbag vest. Thanks for the content, you’re pretty much my go to guy when it comes to tires. I’m curious to see what your opinion is on the new hidenau when you get to test them.
Right on! You are not the first person who has mentioned that same feedback to the airbag vest ;) Good stuff! I too am curious to test the new K60 Ranger. LOVE me some new rubber to test! Thanks for watching !
Yeah Right! I have thought about making a new intro but it will be full of scorpions, cacti, monsoons, flash floods and haboobs... If you don't know what a Haboob is ... they are outragous and you should google it!
I rode Titus Canyon on a 650 V-Strom. I only rode 50 miles that day, and it was one of the best days ever. It's one way through the slot canyon, so you have to ride east-west. I wonder what the recent floods have done to it.
I just threw on a set of Trackmasters on my DR650 for a dual sport event my club is running.. which means lots of pre riding, arrowing, sweeping and dearrowing in a harsh mix of hard rock trail with some slab in between. I suspect they won’t last very long. That being said.. I think I’m finally gonna give the desert HT a go. Id love it to be a the ONE tire I use vs having to swap tires for special occasions between events and commuting M-F.
Heck yeah! Prepping the course... THANK YOU! (from all the riders that will not acknowledge the hard work!!!! The Desert HT on your DR650 will wear like IRON and will work amazing in the terrain you have describe. When you are ready, let me know!
Hello, I have a Honda CRF300L and I want to change the stock tires. I'm between trying the Motoz Desert HT and the Kenda K760 Trackmaster 2. What's your review on the 2 in Off Road and On Road. Thank you.
I bought a 2023 klx 300 dual sport and I was thinking about putting these tires on. The tires the bike came with are Dunlop and the front tire is so dangerous on payment it pulls you all over the place and as it wears down it’s getting worse and worse. I was even thinking the tire was defective. I also have a 21 tenere 700 that I use more on road so my primary use for the klx is off road but will still be driving on the roads to get to my destinations. Any thoughts Kyle???? Great videos by the way!!!!!
Thanks for your support Joe. For the little bikes a lot of guys are running the Motoz Enduro ST Fatty 90/100-21 in the front and the Adv or RallZ in the rear 120/80-18 they love this set-up.
Do the Motoz tires have a dot to indicate the light spot on the tires? Bought the Rallz and did not see a dot like on Dunlops I had before. Thanks for your videos!
Nope. As they are "Off Road Knobby" tires they do not have a balance dot. I have had tires that have needed upwards of 5 oz of weight to balance... I rotated it 180 degrees and needed just 1 oz to make it perfectly balanced. Thanks for watching!
Hello, have you tried the Kenda K760 Trackmaster 2 tires. Which tire will work better in Off Road compared to the Motoz Desert HT? I need to change my tires and I'm between those two. Thanks and great review.
What motorcycle will you be putting these on? I have run the Trackmaster on my DRZ400 and it was good there. On my 950 the trackmaster was HORRIBLE. All depends on the bike and the terrain.
Kyle, I tried to buy these from you this week. The online order tried to charge me $90 for freight, ground, from you to CA. Had to pass!!! Bummer, you turned me on to these.
@@manybikes thanks for your response! I also see that Nitro makes a model that fits the rear as well, but not the 90/100-21 front, which I would like to use to drive to Dakar on a Tenere 700 in January. Any experience with that front tire?
Great reviews.. keen to mount some H/T's on my new 1290r..wore out original Bridgestone ax41s after 3000ks..my riding environment here down under is about 50/50 blacktop/intermediate terrain but sometimes mud/fire trails..just trying to get your opinion on running lower pressure to compensate for harder compound... your help would be greatly appreciated..
Thank you Sir! If jumping on an off road I typically run 28 to 30 psi. If the going gets rough or I am stuck, I will air down further as per the conditions. Down to 13psi on rare occasions in the soft deep sand. If running the highway all day long I run full max sidewall pressures to reduce rolling resistance, heat and tire wear.
I run AX-41's on GS850 Adventure. Love them on dirt roads/sand/mud. They release the mud surprisingly well. Due to my location, I'm riding 70% pavement. Should I give these a try for the taller knobs? Don't care much about longevity, just off road traction but your comments "sketchy on pavement" is concerning. BTW, do y'all sell the AX-41s?
For a xr650R that I plan on making street legal for work, do you recommend the desert ht or rallz? Not much highway maybe little stretches, but everyday to work on the road. Then Las Vegas desert maybe once a month. Also not sure what to use on the front.
I have the tractionator adventure on the back and the rallyz on the front of my klr 650, the traction on the dirt now is amazing, has changed the bike, BUT on road they are loud and don't have much traction,,the front feels twichy,,its a compromise, i only use my klr for dirt , but if it was my only bike i would not recommend them for bitumen use
Thanks for sharing! Swap the RallZ front for a Dual Venture front and the street performance will skyrocket. Not much traction on-road, that is strange...
Quick question. I want to switch from desert ht to hybrid mountain or enduro IT. I ride tenere 700. For trip of 1500 miles on rocky/gravel terrain which would you recommend. They must just last for this trip, not longer and have best performance during.
The Enduro IT is made for single seat motorcycles. I rode them on my 450 exc and they were great. Tried to run the Enduro IT and the Mountain Hybrid on my 950se and they failed quickly. I recommend the RallZ 140 Tube Type for the rear and the Enduro ST Fatty in the front for your most dirty set of tires on your T7.
I just put Rallz front and back on the Africa Twin and the front is definitely sketchy on the road. I balanced it three times and still getting wheel hop between 30-50. Found out the tire is out of round a bit. I may see the shop will swap it out. They work great in the dirt though!!
Very interesting. Was it balanced? I would recommend letting all the air out, breaking the bead rotating it 180 degrees, rebalance and see what happens. They all come out of the same mold, so one being our of round and the others not seems strange. I would imagine it to be more of a mount or balance or even a tube issue. Strange also it is only at that 20 mph range... an our of round tire would get worse the faster you went. I do hope you get it sorted though!!!
@@manybikes Ya, I balanced it three times and it balances perfectly. When I rotated it on the balance stand you could see it roll up and down a bit. I will try the 180 thing next and report back.
Super strange. Check the tube too. I had a tube once that has a bubble due to a thin spot. that thin spot would accept more air causing a bubble in the tire that caused the tire to appear to be imperfect. Something to explore... Sorry you are having issues!
Please help. I have the Desert HT on the way and now I am confused after watching this..lol..I have a Tenere 700 and bought the 140/80-18 TT and 90/100-21 TT. Will these work on the Tenere? or do I need to return them when they get here and get the tube less type? If they will work then great.
Question? I got the tube type for my T7, and saw this video which is making me think I should have gotten the tubeless? Will they still mount or should I send them back and get the tubeless? Also the back tire?
Thank you for reaching out. Your T7 is right on the cusp... Yamaha calls it a 1.8" rim so it will work just fine. I have had users run both... some like the Tube Type and other have liked the Tubeless better. You are good... I'd recommend trying the other next go round so you can see which set "works best for you" and feels best for your type of riding. Thanks for watching!

The RallZ is the best all arounder. Panamint Springs and the entire Death Valley area is so much fun!
Loving this series. You always crank out the best tire videos!
Glad you like them! Well... 50% watch until 7:10 and then it drops off... So... at the FART... only 25% were still "in the wind" Too funny!
Just ordered a set from your site sir, looking forward to getting them mounted on my bike.

It’s a tubeless tire on a tube type rim with a tube installed.

Yes Sir! You can add tubes to any tubeless tire.
