Not gonna lie I've got the exact same tyres on my KLR650 I have 5000KM/3100 miles on mine and I have loads of tread left. I reckon you'll enjoy them ;)
An easy way to mount that wheel is to use a ratchet strap around the seat and hoist the wheel up. Leaves your hands free to locate the axle. Thanks for the review of the tire!
I was thinking about running these on my 17 Triumph Explorer. I have the GPS front tire currently and have been very happy with it. I've got more than 5000 miles on it and there is likely another 4000 of life left. Thanks for the great review!
Very Cool. I have looked at these tires a few times in the past. I will be following along to here how they continue to perform. Thanks for sharing with us.
Glad to see I am not the only one who sometimes fights getting the wheel assembly back on the bike.😅 That is a Motoz Tractionator GPS not a Motoz GPS Adventure as you said at the start. There is a Motoz Tractionator Adventure that is a 25% street / 75% Off-raod that is a great tire also. I know someone with a KTM 1290 with the Adventure tire and I could not believe how well they work on the pavement and of course great off-rooad. You can get 10K miles and more from the Motoz GPS (either direction of rotation) and the Adventure tires. Have a fun day.
I've got about 1500 miles on them now, they barely look worn at all, and so far have handled all the paved stuff I did great. Need to test them off the pavement.
Nice review. I like that you covered all types of terrain. My 1090 had the GPS on the front, & adventure on back when I got it last year. I think I'll get something more aggressive for the front next.
I have my first Motoz coming in next week for my 2023 Africa Twin. I'm super excited and very happy to hear they ride more comfortably on the road than stock
I found them not as comfortable as stock for riding on the street and highway but they did well on loose gravel. I haven't gotten to reversing them and try the off-roading capabilities yet
@@RealHooksy Thanks for the explanation about why it’s pronounced that way. That makes perfect sense! I should’ve been able to figure that one out myself.😊
A bit of light oil on the axle and don't smear more grease on the outer seals as that just attracts dirt and grime and isn't adding anything. The bearings have caps on them, you can pop those carefully and add grease if it is looking dry.
Mate I've had these on there great for long life 22000 ks out of the front and 13000 ks on the rear and still might get a few more ks. Front hangs on good on Tar and dirt the rear hooks up good when corning bit slipery in straight line but that solid line of rubber makes for long life if your munching a lot of hiway miles.
Hi, very beautiful area 👍👍👍. Motoz is probably the best tire for a dual adventure bike . This year, I m waiting to receive my ktm 790 Adventure 2024 ... and soon I can. I want to put the Motoz tractionator adventure.
I would recommend the Motoz Dualventure on the front paired with the gps on the rear. It’s a good compromise for road and off road. I’ve got them on my 650 Suzuki and they worked great on my recent 1500km ride with around 60km of dirt, and sand / gravel
Yep that is what I am running on my T7 this is the second season with the GPS on the rear mounted on the off-road bias and the Dual Venture on the front. I did the OG ORBDR parts of it, and Sections 5-2 of the ORBDR this summer June. Trails varied not much mud, loose rocks, silt, big rocks this combo is great. Highly recommend!
Mate...get a block of wood under the rear wheel to lift it up to the correct height, and never use your hand as a hammer as you will crush the nerves in the wrist...and the tyres are great too.
It is awesome once you lose nerves in your hand I don't have to use oven mitts. Burns have zero effect on my hands. And I can punch thru anything without remorse because my hands are like hammers. With no feeling.
Mechanic for 30 years my hands are usually numb from the wrist down. Scar tissue and bones that healed irregular have made my hands like hammers. No one likes to get punched by me. Be a man. Use your hands.
Go with the adventure if you want a bit more bite off road. Would like to try them in the future at some point. Just ordered a set of Tusk2 Track Adventure simply because the price point.
Thanks @@AdventureTomek that was my thought also. I'm from Canada and where I live in Alberta I always have to travel a bit on the highway, hence the GPS thoughts plus I want a long lasting tire (who doesn't) lol. Oh decisions decisions!! Thanks for your reply!
got my africa twin with these tires on it dont know how many miles on them but would guess 4000 the front tire cupped bad going to try the shinko 804-805
I've had these tires on my F800GS for about 18 months and have done about 5k miles on them. I'm not very happy with them. 1) The front tire required sealant to not leak. It went flat on me about a week after being intalled, 100 miles into a 5 day trip. It just doesn't seal on the rim. It leaked slightly all around the rim. I googled around a bit and at least one other person has had the same problem with these front tires. 2) The front tire wanders leaned over at lower speeds on pavement. Too much so. It's rather unpleasant. I've noticed that after 5k miles, it doesn't really do that any more, but that's a lot of miles... 3) The rear has been fine. Sealed, holds air, does not have any handling issues. 4) I am going to get a LOT of miles out of these. Which is good, they were not cheap! 5) not noisy on the highway at all. I haven't tested them off road much, but from what little I have, they do pretty well. If the front tire didn't wander and sealed properly, I'd be happy with them.
I an really enjoy the rear GPS. Wish I went with a it more aggressive front tire. The front tire in my case did not seat properly due to a few rim indentations. Ended up putting a tube in. Thanks to your input on the tires!
The bike broke down on me a few days after I filmed this video. I’m finally back on it recently and really have not had many miles in different road conditions to give you a solid opinion just yet.
What are you doing with that torque wrench? 😮 first click you go way past, then a second click and you go past again and a final third click and thankfully you stop at the click.
I’m almost at 6k with the tires, I was impressed with performance on wet hwy surfaces. If I was to do it again I probably would have went with the slightly more aggressive ones, since I ride the bike of road frequently.
They did well on and off road, not great in pavement wet conditions. If I were to go with MotOz again would go with the Adventure or Rallyz, will most likely have a bit more bite off road. I bought a set of the new Tusk 2Track Adventure for my T7, very happen with them and they are only $210 for front and rear set.
Dicey in the wet. Don’t think a solid spine tyre has any business on an adventure bike myself. BTW, the rear tyre in this Video thumbnail is not a GPS.
Already on a different set of tires “Tusk 2Track Adventure this go around. Off road I was pleased with the performance, with how big the 1190 I don’t ride very extreme or difficult trails. On road they are fantastic…. unless the pavement is wet! I did not feel comfortable in wet weather riding, really took it easy. Yes, run a dual venture front… you will have less washing out of the front off road.

I run the Moto z GPS on my 890 Love those tires they bite so well for having such good road manners and wear like iron
MOTOZ are great tires! They should provide you with lots of miles!
Cheers!!
Can’t wait for riding season. We still have tons of snow here in Wyoming. Might bring the bike to Colorado and hit some trails. Safe travels
Snow ❄️ just hit us again in CO and it’s cold once again

Well I just put then order in and they are going on next week. Thanks for your reply.
I’m between the GPS and the adventures! Don’t know what to do!! :)
A day early!!
Great vid. Definitely going to consider these when I make a decision. The 1190 needs new shoes soon.
So far I am impressed.
I’ve ran them on my 1190r. Great road biased tire. They do decent on hard pack dirt but that’s about it. Oh, and it’s pronounced “Mow-tahz”
Mo toz actually.
Oz, as in Australia, but in your accent probably tahz is probably acceptable 😎
@@RealHooksy Thanks for the explanation about why it’s pronounced that way. That makes perfect sense! I should’ve been able to figure that one out myself.😊
Mowt Oz as in Australia.... Only Americans speak American, there is the rest of the world mate....
Nice bike and tyres look good and thick tread. Keep on riding.
Awesome review brother 👊 good to see real world stuff on tires
Thanks Mike
