Im betting you guys are here because you removed a ceiling fan or light fixture from your roof and want to patch that hole up. This is a super easy way to do it even iff it is not near any studs.

Thanks for this! I'm plugging 7 holes today and this is exactly what I needed to see! Another option I'd throw out for the patches is using a hole saw. Match up the diameter and cut the patch out with the hole saw and use the plug as a the patch
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Coffee mug hack is legendary bro! Thank you for this!!!
You're legendary! Thanks for supporting the channel! 🤙🤙🤙
Great tip right when i needed it!!!!
You did an amazing job. Can you please give me an idea of how to cover this outside hole in my porch ceiling from the removal of a light?
Im trying to remove a recessed light so i can install a chandelier in the light next to it, any helpful tips on how to remove the light and what to do with the old electrical wires?
Themis is awesome! The previous owners of our house left us with a whole in the ceiling and I thought it’d be a complicated fix!
Bam, you got this!
What method did you use to finish the seam? Just some mud then sand and paint I assume?
Just tape, mud, sand paint.
unless you paint the whole ceilng again it will be somewhat noticable.
Prefect, thank you
What drill bit are u using?😮😃
Thank you for the video! Can I ask you what machine you used to cut the round cup size wood?
I remember doing it this way as a beginner DIY’er 40 years ago. Then I learned the proper DIY ‘er way. You should have shown the easier, better way, and complete job.
Thanks for supporting the channel! 🤘🤘
You should make a video 🤷🏼♂️

I kept the round cutout the electrician made when he made the hole.
I really thought that you will put the mug in the hole😅😂😂
lol basically like one step down from filling it with ramen 😂😂😂
What if there's a box and is unable to remove? Thank you.
Cut a rectangle larger to go from stud to stud would probably be the easiest.
@@BreakFreeHomestead Thank you so much. It helps!
So are you gonna finish patching it?
Yes.
How do I do the patch when going from a can light to a smaller box for a pendant light?
You could could try to make the smaller hole within that piece or you could just cut out from stud to stud
Dude that was awesome
You're awesome George, thanks for sup[porting our channel!
How'd you mud it?
Tape the cracks then mud, using paper tape might be easier than fiber as its thinner and if you sand fiber you are SOL.
No coffee breaks brooooo
Hahah 🤙🤙🤙
CANT. U USE. A. 1 × 2
Yes you could!

Haha not quite but thanks for the support!
I. WANT. TO. REMOVE. CAN. LIGHTS. AND. FILL. HOLE. THANKS.
