What is a porridge oat? Is this just a normal 5 minute cooking oat? A 1 minute cooking oat? Or steel cut oats, think those are long cooking. Thanks! I have some Irish Flour with bran I need to use up. This looks perfect!

We just used what's called here porridge oats, not the microwave ones. But you could always try it.

Probably your 5 minute oats. Even 1 minute would probably be ok, just don't go with steel cut.
